Jicama is pronounced, HICK- ama. It is also called Mexican potato by my Latina friend in SoCal. Yum! I cut them into strips and dip in to ranch dressing or hummus.
Yes to the cauliflower gnocchi! I was just at my local Trader Joe’s today. Love going there. Still an hour away for me but every time I see my endocrinologist, I go to Trader Joe’s because they are practically beside each other.
That Portuguese bread for a Portuguese was LIFE!!! I mean, to finally have bread that is not sweat and full of weird ingredients just made me so happy! Delicious! I bought 4 bags each time!
I've lived near a Trader Joe's for the last 10 years and I still love going there!! We go when we need things, but also for fun as a family activity (with our 4 kids) or on date nights sometimes.
Ahh I haven't been to a Trader Joe's in ages, more than 12 years, you've re-ignited my desire to go there asap haha. Loved the one by one taking of the items out, bit of a surprise with each item. Im taking notes on what you recommended so I can try these for myself, thank you :)
@@HealthNutNutrition Yes, about 15 minutes by car, we moved little over a year ago so I really need to check out the one near us. Will do and thank you for replying! :)
I like the unboxing style surprise! Hmm my 3 must have t J s ..that’s hard to boil it down I would say coconut coffee creamer can’t buy it anywhere else, chili onion crunch, jerk plantain chips !and a million other things🤣
My kids love the freeze dried fruit and I love that it’s a healthy crunchy snack. It’s a staple, watch out for the blueberries- it stained my kiddos face and hands 🤣. We also stick to the strawberries, bananas and mangoes! Also love the shawarma chicken thighs- such a simple sheet pan meal on a busy night! Another easy staple we get at TJs are some of the raviolis- my kids love them and ingredients are pretty good for a prepared food item and so quick to make. Thanks for the haul!
Love your videos it’s been a while! Since I watched one! Love Trader Joe’s! It’s now an Ho o o it away from me I need to Florida, I love using green goddess seasoning in tuna salad! 👍
I love Trader Joe’s and wish I had one nearby! Your hauls are always so fun. I think I prefer all laid out..,not sure I can articulate why. Lol 😂 either way they’re great
I just love you! I believe it’s pronounced “hi-kuh-muh” I use to work at a cafe & we would put it on our veggie sandwiches, it gave them such a nice added crunch! & I think I prefer this style of you going over each item as you pulled them out of the bag :) I find it so fascinating how you & your Canadian viewers are so sad you don’t have a Trader Joe’s, but we (US viewers) are so sad we don’t get Tim Hortons 😂 However overall, you guys really do have WAY better food options… there are so many additives, preservatives & chemicals put in our food here in America that are banned in your country!
I like the way you present your groceries on the counter, I personally have never been to trader joes so I enjoyed this ep. though. I know never been to TJ, crazy lol.
Loved that. I love the unboxing style better , it's so much more interesting. Would have loved to have seen more taste testing lol. I hate tik too so I'll have to miss out on that one. Thanks Nikole 🤗
This was a fun video. I love that Cloe went to TJ's for you. The Green Goddess seasoning is so good. I put it on avocado toast, baked potato with Greek yogurt, eggs, and popcorn. I like the freeze dried strawberries too. I don't buy cheese, but the unexpected cheddar is my favorite of theirs.
@@HealthNutNutrition Yes! Also, the sliced Korean rice cakes: boil them for the time said on the bag. Then stir fry them with the cabbage you bought and any other veggies. I added coconut aminos for flavor. I've also stirred fried them with cauliflower rice.
I got the frozen chocolate covered strawberries (like the banana ones you got) last time I was in Buffalo and have been recreating them at home all the time. Melt some dark chocolate and coconut oil and individually dip the frozen strawberries in. Lay on parchment lined sheet tray and freeze before putting into container. So good!
I can’t get those gnocchi to taste good no matter what I do 🫤 recipes please!!! My favs are the fig & olive crackers, the vegan cashew spinach ravioli and the matcha packets (cannot love without)
I want to get to Trader Joe's so bad! We have two in the whole Nashville area and they both have next to no parking and are always packed so it's almost impossible to actually get in the store.
We love the frozen chocolate-covered bananas. Got the strawberry ones and weren’t as wowed by those even though we love strawberry anything usually, so definitely try the banana ones first, I would say. They’re a hit.
I love the cauliflower gnocchi! I get their vegan pesto and use it with the gnocchi. I also am addicted to their sunflower seed cups. They are like pb cups but sunflower butter and dark chocolate, best eaten from the fridge. Not healthy but their gluten free cinnamon coffee cake muffins and chocolate muffins are the best. The closest one to me is over an hour drive so I go once every 2-3 months.
pulling it out of the bag is good- not bad job a little rambling just too let you know my thoughts mostly you pulled out the corn ribs and I'd be curious to know what the heck they are you just blew right past that- and yes you started with that one little cheese snack is so salty I can only imagine you know I love trader Joe's too but I can only imagine that they must use truckloads of salt and sugar every day
Hey Nikole Goncalves, really nice video! I was wondering if I can help you to edit your videos and create some highly engaging shorts out of them. Looking forward to hear from you. Thanks
I like the unpacking. It might be a nice addition to see you make one of the items. I’m curious, for instance, about the texture of the cauliflower gnocchi and feels like I might get a better idea if I could see you make an item like that.
@@HealthNutNutrition lol yes! I was in the middle of a diaper when I heard it And so I went over to the screen to look at what you were talking about😆 It’s all good! I just had a little chuckle ! My family is from Belize and jicama is very popular there It taste delicious when you make Cut it in matchsticks and do a quick pickle with some acid like white vinegar, salt and pepper, and maybe even a little sugar to balance

@@HealthNutNutrition or sliced with some lemon and Tajin 🤤🤤 It’s a Mexican thing, I have had it all my life!!
@@alena4212 I agree!
@@alena4212 Add some Chamoy too :)
Not a new item for 2023. I have bought them for awhile. Very good though, you need to eat them fairly quickly as they do go bad. 😋
I like the un packing better than having everything out already!!! It's like a surprise! 😊
hhaha love that!
I agree!
Me too!
I like it when the food is already laid out best 😊

I love smoked oysters! Totally agree, completely different than raw for sure! Yummy! I grew up with smoked oysters.
I've lived near a Trader Joe's for the last 10 years and I still love going there!! We go when we need things, but also for fun as a family activity (with our 4 kids) or on date nights sometimes.
I completely agree with going to Trader Joes on a date night!
Omg the Green goddess season is fire!! 😌
1- taiwanese scallion pancakes 2- roasted corn 3 citrus garlic seasoning. I also love getting the canned sardines and smoked trout. Delicious
Love these thank you 😉
I love seeing your unboxing or unbaging in this case lol 3:47
I like when everything is already out 💖 love the videos!
Jicama+fresh squeezed lime+cayenne pepper= crunchy yum
such a great healthy snack!

When we were in the States we checked out Trader Joes and it was really a neat store! Nothing like it here in Canada.
Exactly!! the closest thing we have is a farmboy
i grew up eating jicama!! it's the best

Its so sad we dont have a Trader Joe's here in Canada but yes we all want what we cant have! 😩
I love Trader Joe's! Easy weeknight meals if you're too tired to cook. How far do you have to go to get to Trader Joes?
I always get pickles (no food coloring), low sugar fruit preserves and gluten free waffles! We buy a lot of stuff at Trader Joe's.
Jicama tastes delicious added to a salad bowl too 😊🥗
Love love love love 😍 ✌️
I love the Sriracha tofu. Plantain chips. So good. I have to drive over an hour to go to a Trader Joe’s but sooo worth it ❤
I like the way you present your groceries on the counter, I personally have never been to trader joes so I enjoyed this ep. though. I know never been to TJ, crazy lol.
good to know what style you enjoy more! Thank you and yes you're crazy haha
I feel so blessed that the Trader Joe’s I go to is 1 mile from my house😅
1) Non-Dairy Oat Creamer Brown Sugar, 2) Sweet & Spicy Pecans, 3) Caramelized Onion Cheddar Cheese, & 4) TJ’s Cauliflower Thins
😂 I can’t with the jicama pronunciation also you can fill them with cucumbers and carrots we add lime Chile powder and chamoy as a snack tacos

How does the Jicama go in Tacos? Does it replace lettuce? I always thought it had a super mild radish taste but I love it!
The dark chocolate almond butter cups (two pack!). They are like $1 and soooo delicious!
Thank you
try their elote seasoning and everything bagel seasoning. They are amazing and I love Trader Joe's too

I did not know there was a Trader Joes across in Buffalo I need to go!
I live in Ontario now so I know what you mean about Farm Boy. Love it. Nature's Emporium is good too.

I get excited to go every week! It’s hard to pick just 3 but I always get vegetable gyozas, japchae noodles, and all the tofu’s!
heard such good things about the Japchae noodles! love all these recommendations
Jicama wraps have been at my TJs for the last couple years at least
Also they have chocolate covered frozen strawberries that are super yummy too if you like the chocolate covered bananas.
They don’t get rock hard?
Or are they just thinly sliced?
They’re thinly sliced. They’re about the same thickness of the banana slices.

The way you pronounced jicama 😅😂 I’m Mexican so I forget it’s not part of everyone’s daily life.
I love so many of these items too 🥰🥰
The Goncchi is best in air fried!!!
oh I never tried that
if you can find the momofuku chili oil, it’s soooo much better than the TJs one. but I did love the TJs one before trying momofuku brand 😂
I like the unboxing and also taste testing!
I would use the dips that are regular. Too many ingredients with the Vegan. Love that chicken.
I like the unpacking. It might be a nice addition to see you make one of the items. I’m curious, for instance, about the texture of the cauliflower gnocchi and feels like I might get a better idea if I could see you make an item like that.
Love your videos you should add Hindi subtitles lots of love from India 🇮🇳🇮🇳
What's considered a "weird" oil in an ingredient list?
Catelli has lentil pasta and chickpea pasta
They have had the jicama wraps for years
Really? I’ve never seen them!
I don't know if you tried the Korean rice cakes yet, but they are CHEWY. Not like rice noodles. It's great in soup!
Omg I’m from Buffalo!
Everything spread out
Love the chili oil on eggs and avacado toast.
btw jicima is a great prebiotic food :)
ooh had no idea
@@HealthNutNutrition so glad you saw my comment! Let me know how you like them, I definitely gonna pick some up this weekend!

Spanish, J is an h sound, hick a ma, Jicama
jicama = hick-a-ma NOT Himaka
Tzatziki = sza-zee-Ki NOT TAZIKI
Gyoza = ghee-o-za NOT Guy-o-za
It's pronounced "He Ka Ma" :)
🤷🏼♀
Hick-A-Ma
haha oops 😅
You really need to pronounce things correctly.
