It’s fine. We only use the room to sleep, shower and change. We never lounge in the room much.
we love the square cabins. we always book them whenever we can. the useable space is much much better than compared to the rectangle more abundant interior cabins. It actually isn't smaller than your other interior cabins contrary to popular belief. same exact square footage and I think a way better layout.

I booked one of these rooms for February 2024 as I'm a solo cruiser. I really do like the square layout! It actually looks like there's a little more space compared to a regular inside room.
We really do love the Square over the Regular design for that very reason. (Many don’t know they even exist!)

My upcoming Carnival Celebration cruise will be my first staying in an inside cabin (it was a great deal). While this inside cabin seems nice, I know it will not change my preference for a balcony stateroom.
The great part of Inside Staterooms is the awesome sleep you get with the complete darkness inside the room. ☺️
You guys are great! My spouse and I always watch your informative and entertaining videos. For cruise info, we watch JK Cruise as well as Ben and David. We started watching you both after you were on the same cruise with us on the Horizon in 2021. Im a newly retired NY detective and you keep me looking forward to our cruises.

As an Inside Stateroom cruiser on Carnival..It looks rather similar to the other Inside Staterooms on the other Carnival ships we have been on. I do like the USB by the bed. It's a pain charging my phones overnight and it's 7 feet away on the desk. As far as chairs there are no chairs in the Inside Staterooms I've been on with Carnival they have that ottoman type thing. I do like that one it has lid that pops off to hold plates if you order room service and hang out in bed. The bathroom well actually is a little bit bigger than most Inside Staterooms I believe. It was a good video guys. Just a bit underwhelmed by the additions to the Inside Stateroom. Don't get me wrong we are for sure already booked on the Jubilee next December in an Inside Stateroom and this gives us Ideas of what it will look like.
I enjoyed your review of the square inside cabin. I would never consider a cabin that didn't have a balcony, but that's just me. I think it's great for those that want to save a little money on their cruise. I'm older and I'm not going to be out to the wee hours so I enjoy sitting out on my balcony at night and just letting all the stress go away. That's my nirvana. I hope you enjoy your cruise. The Celebration looks fantastic!!

When we’re on the Mardi Gras, we had a balcony and we had a door in our bathroom so now we’re considering and here so we appreciate this video from you
Oh, that's a disappointing bathroom! For my 6-foot 6 partner that would be a tough space. I would like to have more storage, too. Thank you for the tour and honest opinions! I haven't cruised in an inside stateroom since we were first cruising. Our first cruise was on Princess in an inside stateroom on the Grand Princess and it was very dark!
Yes! 6 ft 6 inches would be tough in that tiny bathroom. Shower may work out though! Disney has the shortest showers but this shower is a little taller than it looks.
Lovely detailed review guys!! I agree with everything you guys like about the room and the dislikes as well. The decor in the rooms are so great but the bathrooms are tiny.

My wife and I sailed on the Mardi Gras in January we loved that ship. I just wish carnival has Starbucks. We loved guy’s burgers and guy’s pig anchor. More than once. This it’ll be our 4 cruise.where taking our two daughters on there first cruise
A lot of hotels are going away from bed skirts because it encurages better cleaning an helps people not "lose" stuff under the bed. Also the room card to activate the electronics has been a feature in Many European hotels for over a decade. It helps conserve energy.
We don’t mind either way, but the bed skirts are quite a nicer look.

Thanks for this video, Jarod. It was my pleasure to meet you and Jordon on the Celebration last week. I've also watched your other Good and Bad videos about the Celebration, including the Balcony comparison, and found each work informational. I would like to add some comment for others, such as TallahasseeFLPolice (comment below) who travel solo and/or for those who choose Interior rooms simply for budgeting reasons. I've got to tell you, your square Interior (411) looked 5-star compared to the Interior (10345) that I "camped out in" for the 14-day Inaugural Voyage. During my 41 cruises, I have selected and enjoyed all ranges of budget. I have never opted for NCL Studio cabins, but I have stayed in their exclusive Haven for the experience. I have plenty of friends and relatives who would love to share travel expenses, but I travel solo by introvert choice. I do not appreciate having other solos surrounding me, to whom "No" might be required in order to actually dine alone or to explore ship and shore during my vacations. I prefer sleeping in a queen/king bed, so always I've requested that the single beds be pushed together for my stay. During this Celebration voyage my butt and sides were drawn to the crack in the middle - I have never had that happen before. Perhaps it was because of the newness, not yet prepared with whatever insert that may be used to prevent this "crack." But worse than that daily discomfort was that for 14 days, when I went to bed - afternoon nap? after late night in bars/casino/entertainment venues? or merely to watch TV (because, as you noted, no chair with back support) I had to actually hunch over with shoulders and back bent down to avoid contact with the stored wall berths, which hung on both walls alongside the bed. With my height of 5' 3," this seems unconscionable. I guess if these berths were turned down for passengers' sleep, those bedding down below would have to crawl into sleeping position from the bed's end. I submit this layout of stateroom as Worst Cabin at Sea.

Thank you so very much for your review!!! We always book inside squares when we have that opportunity and sad to see how small these ones are! The ones on the Sunrise, Breeze, Sunshine, etc are just so nice and large. We are booked on the Jubilee next year in an inside square and we might have to rethink this! 18 days might be a bit too much as I too will be working some from the ship. The size of the bathrooms don't bother me as we aren't in there that much but storage and floor space does a little. I LOVE that the rooms seems cool enough as since the restart I have not found a room that has been cold enough for me yet - LOL!!!!! Keep it up gentlemen, I look forward to meeting y'all!

That would be a good cabin for a solo cruiser. That wouldn't be my first choice of inside cabin, even though it's very nice!
Not our first choice either but this TransAtlantic was pricey 😅

Bathroom in my balcony on the Discovery Princess was the same size with the toilet paper out of reach.... and the shower had a curtain not a door!!!!!

Thanks again for such a detailed tour of the room and No We would not book! Actually, we had Carnival on the ‘let’s do it next’ agenda for 2024 but just removed them.. This room tour is just another nail in our decision being the right choice for us. We wont go because of the recent penny pinching measures they have implemented in the MDR, Closing 24 Hr Options down at midnight, increased specialty dinning costs.. I don’t want to have a bill at the end of the Cruise after Paying thousands upon thousands to go. We are in Canada so have to include flights in the costs.. We’ve dropped Carnival and replaced them with Royal for 2024. Thank you so much for what you do, it really does help your Consumers make decisions. No, this VLOG was not the final nail in that Carnival Coffin for us, that already happened .. your just re affirming we are right for our expectations and our personal decision.

Hi Jared. Sooo glad you guys made this video. I am on the 11/27 sailing and had booked a square interior. However, the upgrade fairy called and hubby and I now have a balcony. The only problem with this room is the teeny bathroom so glad we took the upgrade just for this reason. BTW, we met you at debark on the Mardi Gras last year and still have the bracelets you gave us. Always nice to see you two.

I sailed on the Mardi Gras. I had a window cabin. It was perfect. Larger, more storage, and not having to wake up in a pitch dark cabin. It also had a couch. It did not have a chair. But the couch would be fine to work from. I also enjoyed the light behind the bed. Didn't have to get out of bed to turn a light out. Enjoy your cruise. Also move you jackets to the left side of the closet. Longer hanging area.

I like square insides vs the regular ones because they feel more spacious to me. More usable floor space.

I was having claustrophobia just watching you in the bathroom. I would rather cruise less often and have a balcony room with fresh air than be in an inside stateroom. I would be totally miserable in an inside room

@@user-xw5he8md1w It looks like they booked a standard interior. Just know that Carnival will have a guaranteed interior which will be the cheapest. Personally I never go with a guaranteed room since they could place you anywhere. If you don’t care about location then go for it.
Well… it’s a room! Would like to see the other cabins on the ship like a balcony & suite. This particular room seems very basic utilitarian- very little frills.

Thanks for the in depth tour! We will be in square interior cabin 9401 on the first US sailing of the Celebration, and then the same room again for the Jubilee's first US sailing lol. Best feature is not having to have the bathroom door vs closet door battle that you have to have in standard interiors 🤣

Thank you for this. The backless ottoman is a disappointment, as I usually spend an hour or so a day printing photos and working on my travel journal. (If I don't do it while I'm on the trip, it doesn't get done!) Also disappointed in the tiny bedside "shelves" - looks like my CPAP machine will have to ride on the floor.

I certainly agree that there is no possible way to work in that room. I would think that is a huge drawback for you. And if I was in that cabin for 14 days, I can’t even imagine what it would look like about 10 days in, given the storage situation and bathroom space. Of course maybe you are tidier than I am.😇😂

I have a question for you.does the celebration bathroom have curtains for there shower? See we sailed on the Mardi Gras our bathroom had a door for the shower. And guy’s pig and anchor was free. We’re hearing it’s not on the celebration. Is that true??

Are you both staying on the ship once you all get to Miami? We are sailing on her when you all get to Miami, November 21st and so looking forward to our Thanksgiving cruise on that beautiful ship. We were on the Mardi Gras twice already and both times we had the extended premium inside and loved it. Plenty of room and bathroom is bigger. We have the same type of room on the Celebration and being that there is 3 of us in the cabin, the premium inside cabins are perfect. I do agree with the bed end tables, we hate them and agree with you with not have a chair with the back to it.
We won’t be staying on as our family wants us home for Thanksgiving. ☺️

Hey guys, sailing on the Celebration in January. Staying in a cove balcony spa cabin. My question is after the late show in the Punchliner comedy club does it become a dance club? My cabin is directly below the punchlner, which isn’t a problem since I love the late show. I just want to know if anything else takes place in that venue.

Great question! Tonight there was an adult game night in Punchliner until 12:30 am. That’s the latest they’ve used it so far.

Nice tour. Are the square inside rooms any bigger than the rectangular ones? Just out of curiosity, would the stateroom attendant be able to bring you a chair w/ a back on it, ( maybe from the library) because you are working on the ship??
Good question! Square isn’t technically bigger, just a different configuration.
As for a chair, we had asked on Mardi Gras and they didn’t have any chairs that fit the desk height in the staterooms. Luckily, we can take some of our work out to public areas so we typically do that when possible to find a back ☺️
@@JJCruise I was thinking maybe the library to get work done. But it may not have as many outlets as cafes or other public areas.

QUESTION.... Is it possible to go to another area aboard the ship, where there are backs to seating? Yes it may be tight, but your on a cruise... Put Your Big Boy Undies On...LOL
We do take our work that we can do elsewhere on the ship outside of our stateroom. However, some work needs privacy and quiet.
Compared to most other cruise lines, this is one area Carnival is lacking. Just an honest review, hope it doesn’t offend you too much 😉

No I would not stay in this inside cabin. The bathroom is every tiny and the closet are small. Also I like to have a chair in the cabain so when my husband and I are eating from room services one of us sit on the chair while the other one sit on the bed. Also there is no small table
