Whoa, memories! I remember this came out the same year as enemy at the gates, which starred Ed Harris as the villain. While passively watching this scene during the Oscar nomination clips as a kid , and having not seen Enemy at the Gates, I totally thought this was a scene from that movie, fleshing out the villain having dinner with his famy. I totally thought "damn, this movie goes very deep into the damaged mind of a sniper with PTSD. Poor guy. 🤣"
