    Speaking as someone who only wanted to know how these rings are made, I want to tell you that you are a great teacher. Thank you for going into such detail and for sharing little bits of knowledge that you’ve picked up while mastering this craft. The pride in your work shows here in the video and in your finished products. Love your work! 👍 👍 👍

    Black Opal Direct was an excellent choice for the Opal.
    Very nice ring sir, great job.

      @@PatrickAdairSuppliesThanks, guys, but I don't use FB (and neither should anybody). I don't want my information gathered and sold any more than it already is and I live right near their HQ. They are not good people....

    This is great stuff. I'm saving up to start this hobby (has a bit of a steep buy in). What dremel tool are you using?

    • @PatrickAdairSupplies
      @PatrickAdairSupplies  6 месяцев назад

      amzn.to/42GmcUS This one works great, just a standard starter kit from Dremel. It's a plug in version so if you want a portable battery one, that is just a little more.

    I seen a few tiny pin holes...what's the best way to get those gone? Sand more or fill them with ca or use maybe a uv resin clear coat?

    I know this is an old vid, but I have just discovered your channel. Love your work!! Are you using natural opal, or is it synthetic?

    • @PatrickAdairSupplies
      @PatrickAdairSupplies  6 месяцев назад

      Thanks! It is lab grown synthetic so it feels like the real stuff but you can get it in all the different bright colors.

    Hi! Are you using any water when sanding? In your other videos, the quick clip ones, you are using a lot of water when sanding and here you don't so i wanted to understand the difference, thank you!

    • @jamesedwards7442
      @jamesedwards7442 3 года назад

      Always good to use a lot of water when heating up the ring (Using a dremel, sanding, etc). Over heating the CA glue can cause melting or other bad effects I believe. Water also helps to remove debris from scratching the material. Always use lots of water - it can't hurt.

    I actually have a question: what if i dont want my ring to have any glow? Can i inlay the pigment itself into the ring directly?

      If you’re still curious, go to the supplies website (patrickadairsupplies.com) and one of the items that you can’t actually buy is called Additional Tools and Supplies. The item’s description is a list of the tools he recommends.
