    Instead of the bolts in the holes. Ear plugs work amazing on covering the holes! I do that on paint as well. Ear plugs are cheap and easy to do and you can throw them away when you are done.

      I do this on all my stuff too. Just make sure to get them in large packages. If you try to find them at a local store, say at a pharmacy, they're going to be too expensive. But the foam ones that you can get in big bags are great for hole-masking for paint.

    The very first video I ever watched of Puddins Fab Shop was when he sprayed Lizard Skin on his Travelall. He had about 18k subs at that time. Your future is also as bright as his. Keep it up man! Love the details you show in your videos. 🙌🏼

    Turned out great Matt 🙂👍 I've used similar products before and they really do help with the sound deadening . Have a great weekend and happy wrenching 🔧

    You can add water to the product if you've had it for awhile I talk to their tech support and he told me to add some but you have to be careful a little goes a long Way! Like a spot the size of a quarter to a full container of product their tech support is pretty good!

    How does the sound deadening compared to the roof? I see you used butyl rubber and foil in the roof.

    I sure like this build. I hope you give us a honest report. On the how those Chinese parts hold up. I know the china made fenders are Very Light weight and junk. I always wanted to know more about The lizard skins I hope it works for you real good❤❤❤

      The aftermarket fenders I’ve used have came from Taiwan and other than a couple holes being slightly off they worked decently well. But I’ll for sure let everyone know if any issues come up. Thanks!

      Boy that lizard skin looks a lot like the raptor liner I sprayed on my Willys. It really quiets things down. Make sure it’s good and cured before over coating. Truck Looks great! Hey one suggestion- while talking, film the truck rather than yourself. Just like to see as much of the work as possible. Keep em coming!

    Spray the lizard skin products on the fire wall since you have plenty of left over product. Wish I would have on my Mustang, but the firewall pad was in the car already with stuff mounted when I found out about the product. Your firewall pad will need some help with the heat from the diesel. How much do the 6.7s clatter? Take every precaution you can for noise.
    Check out McMaster-Carr for wire loom / sleeving material. They have great pricing.
    Are you going with halogen type headlights? Will the new dimmer switch handle the load? Will you add relays for the headlights?
    Great work as always.

      6.7s are very quiet diesels. Im going to be using kill mat on the firewall. I was more impressed with its sound deadening overall. Thanks!!

    I've never heard of this lizard skin. I love your channel. I love the worth that you do would love to hire you to finish my truck. But why do so many people go to extremes on these old trucks? To sound barriers, you're taken away the original truck and the sound of driving it. I don't understand but to each their own love your work. Keep doing what you're doing i'm a big fan

      Different builds for different goals! I have trucks that give me the sound and feelings of driving an old vintage truck but this truck is being built to be more comfortable, quiet and easier to take on longer trips. This sound deadening reduces driver fatigue and also makes makes it possible to listen to the radio and talk to other passengers at highway speed comfortably. I don’t feel adding sound deadening that will go completely unseen in the finished truck is any too extreme. This rig will still tick a lot of the vintage truck boxes! Thanks, I’m glad your a fan! Thanks for commenting. 👍🏻

    Hey Matt, why did you decide on the other traditional stuff on the roof?

    • @MattKubik1791
      @MattKubik1791  9 месяцев назад +1

      It was mainly because the truck was already painted and I didn’t want o mess with risking getting it on painted surfaces but after doing the floor I wish I would have we ahead and did the roof. It was easy to work with.
