Can someone help me please? Is there any way I can put a tracer on a split slide aw custom (HX1001 HI-CAPA 5.1 SPLIT SLIDE) Maybe if I change the barrel?
I noticed you said in this or another video you changed the nozzle return spring. How did you take out the back screw i am used to seeing a hex bolt instead of a dummy firing pin.
I have not dissaembled the HX1001air nozzle yet. However, it looks like you can use a flat nose screw driver to push the pin in and line up with the screw indents to take out the screw.
It's really dissables like a WE Hi-Capa, the only difference is the slide is split in two. The good part about You Tube, there is a ton of Hi-Capa dissasemblies.
TBH i really want one but i really don't at the same time cause it is WE and i dont want to have to spend 200$ plus in parts to get it fixed up and my biggest problem with it is that i am scared of the slide breaking and having to find a new split slide
+Johnny Walker This is still predominately a WE Manufactured pistol and I can see it uses WE''s seals. If you plan to use green gas or propane, it will eventually suffer all the effects of a WE pistol is known about (TM will also eventually suffer the same fate with it's seals as well). I use regulated CO2 and have not have to replace any of my WE seals (yet). The reason why I like the new WE pistols is because I don't have to do much to modify them to shoot well and hit hard (rarely I spend more than $25 to modify a WE Hi-Capa). However, WE tends to be on the brittle side and eventually the internal workings (disconnectors) will break with enough use. If your experienced, maintenace is realitively cheap and the performance is quite phenomal if you know what you are doing. I play at my indoor fields with WEs that hardly have any mods in them (other than regulated CO2). My favorte WE has been actually a WE 4.3-Tan that's worth about $115 (loose as a goose, but it works and shoots well with $15 in mods). The HX1001 in this video will probably have a disconnector break or the recoil barrel nut break before the slide. The disconnector is an easy find, but the recoil barrel nut is proprietary and you will need to buy that from Armorer Works. The bottom line, no matter what GBB pistol you buy, you will end up fixing them. A modified TM probably less fixing as their aftermarket parts are quality. A WE will require more maintenance, but it doesn't cost alot to make it shoot straight or fix.
It doesn't look like you can swap out a WE 5.1 outter barrel to the fixed portion of the slide. Ir looks like it would take a special outter barrel to be replaced on the front half the slide. At this point, I don't see any way of putting a silencer on unless you go to a CNC machine shop to have the outter barrel threaded.
+jason yanes If you are playing green gas, I would favor a TM. TM has a great aftermarket support and the parts are tried and true for green gas. From the early reports I have read, the G17 Split Slides didn't like running on green gas. Most WE products like to use more gas for more fps, but it translate to terrible cold weather play due to the excessive cool down issues. However, if you play with HPA systems, you can pick up most WE's and they will get to your desired FPS easily. For instance, my G17 Split Slide can run on 118 PSI and it already shoots 350fps and out of the box it's competitive. As WE likes to claim compatibility with TM parts, it really is alot of misses than hits. WE has little variations on their parts that really varies from TM specs. Frankly, WE works alot vetter with their stock parts with some minor adustments to their hop-up arm and bucking. However, the past 2 years WE has been stepping up their game and their stock GBBs are seeing improvements. I really don't use green gas on my WE gbbs, they really never worked great on them. On HPA system, they work reliably and I really haven't modified more than hop-up arms and buckings. As for the Armorer Works HX1001, I can see alot of components are WE and it's built to use more gas for FPS. Therefore, I would say you would have a funner time using this pistol on a HPA system. I have no experience using it on green gas, also my review is specifically using HPA. Overall, I like the HX1001 as it has potential of being an excellent platform to use out of the box (with some tinkering) with out spending hard earn cash. However, that's if you already have a HPA system. Being realistic though, I only see this pistol as a niche market catering to people who doesn't want to spend too much on a good HPA pistol w/o much modifying. That is a really small market. Could the HX1001 shoots lights out if someone put in the time to modify it? Possibly.
thanks ARES Airsoft Solutions i'm finally going to get a tm after much thought. And also have you checked out the 3d printed slides from kens props?I was curious about those slides because i haven't seen like any reviews on them. maybe a review if possible :)
jason yanes Yes, I'm aware of Ken Props slides. I haven't putchased a slide yet as my 4.3 TM Hi Capa hasn't busted its plastic slide yet. But Ken's slides are on my radar for a replacement alternative.
alright thanks! Sorry for asking so many questions 😂😂 Im going to be getting it as soon as I sell this timberwolf i got for really cheap(zev custom timberwolf got it for 150) so Ima sell that then buy one of these and upgrade the shiz out of it loo
Can someone help me please?

+ARES Airsoft Solutions cool thank you :)
Can you make a disassembly video?

i have a machine which can do just that at home :))
I guess machine away =P.
One last question, will the mags for this pistol work in a marui hi capa 5.1?
Yes, the mags are really a WE mag.
also what is the slide made out of? and is it durable
+Johnny Walker
The slide is made of thin C&C aluminum. Chances are the slide will last longer than the lower frame slide rails.
Would you get this over a stock tm. And what would say about the gas efficiency?
