What about putting oil on your new seal? Hope it last and doesn't burn up and cause it to leak again. Those are called needle bearings. Couple other mistakes or things I would have done differently but overall it was a good video.
I just bought a duraforce from 2005. I bought knowing it had issues starting. I replaced the coil because there was no spark. The original carb was cleaned so it only runs when it is primed, and cant figure out why, then dies out. Won't start until i prime again. The fuel line isn't clogged, the float isn't stuck. Is it possible could be a crankcase seal? Seems fuel related to me. Idk
Ok, I've never worked on one of those before, but I've heard they have carburetor issues and ignition issues. Since you've replaced the coil, I think it's safe to say the ignition isn't the issue, and it's probably a carburetor problem. I would say replace the crank seals and maybe even get an aftermarket carburetor from Amazon to try and remedy this.
Do you know if the bearings in the connecting rod hard to put back together? I may have to replace my crank shaft at some point. Someone before me damaged a couple of threads on top.
I'm not sure. You may want to join one of the lawn boy groups on Facebook... that's where I got all my LB Knowledge from and the guys on there are always willing to help out.
@@WillsSmallEngines thanks but I deactivated my Facebook account a while ago. I'll look again to see if I can find any forums on the internet that may be able to help.
Great video.
Thank you!
