I have had the Destiny for about 9 days now. The instruction book weighs about 6 lbs. I'm still learning how to use it and yes, it cost a arm and a leg. I also have my "Old" Illisimo and the Illisimo is a bit easier to use. I will share posts of any unusual things I find if you will too.
I just bought a Baby Lock Destiny. When I try to review the built in Videos, I don't get any sound. Does anyone know where to set the sound on the video. I have sound when the machine starts up and when I select buttons. Thanks
Pat Tadajewski and +Moko Kilker : Seriously, i follow the evolution of highend home sewing machines for quite some time now - but i'd really like to know what kind of women (or men) can afford buying such a machine above $ or € 5.000 ? Do you use them professionally or just for hobbies?
I wish the separate 1/4 inch foot I bought for my Destiny actually gave a 1/4-inch measurement; it doesn't. The stitch width turns out to be 3/8ths of an inch. The Baby Lock rep with whom I talked did not understand that when you measure stitch width, you cover the thread. When asked, I referred her to the video at The Featherweight Shop. Baby Lock doesn't help. I've spent a whole lot of time using the J foot and moving the needle. On page 116 of the manual, the width setting is either 5.5 or 6.5 mm; not clear which, from the diagram. Ugh! Please re-write the manual. Stitch width isn't even listed in the appendix.
Loved the 4 year old doing the threading. Thanks for letting us know your precious.

Wow. Great instructions! Wish I lived closer to you. Meanwhile I’m subbing. Thanks again.
What am I doing wrong! I scan my picture and set it then it comes up “Data volume is too large for this pattern. How can I remedy this?
I have a Destiny One and it's always in the shop. Prefer the Elisimo Gold II Good machine and less problems.
In my experience both machines are equally reliable, when serviced by competent mechanics.

Please can I get to how much it cost to own this machine

that's cause those videos have no audio.
Thanks, I entertained that thought, but for the money I paid, I thought they would.
I'm sure the MP4 that's available will have sound.
