Polyurethane Crack Injection with a Battery Powered Grease Gun

For concrete crack repair, an electric pump is the most used means for polyurethane injection. While this is ideal for large and medium jobs, for smaller jobs it has some downfalls. The upfront cost of an electric grout pump or a converted airless paint sprayer is substantial. It will also need to be rebuilt or replaced after use. There is also the need for an electric source.
An often-overlooked tool for high pressure injection is a battery-operated grease gun. The performance and portability for a relatively inexpensive price is unmatched.
Holes are drilled to cross-stich the crack and mechanical packers inserted into the hole. The whip of the grease gun is attached to the packer. The polyurethane grout Hyperflex is dispensed into the grease gun canister. Hyperflex is a single component polyurethane that is moisture activated and NSF-61 approved.
