I’m new to sewing. Do I need any special feet or needles?
No you don't, The needle I am using is in the description box and it's very good needle when you sew on thicker fabric

When you say follow the interfacing to sew, do you sew on interfacing, or on material? I’m never quite sure.
Maureen never sew on the interfacing because it will makes it thick when you inside out,, sew right next to it so when you inside out the sides will looks perfectly
