    I'm 168cm, own a z800.
    Lowered the bike to have my both feet flat on the ground.
    You're right on riders who stops on a hill slope but with the lowering kit it will give the rider more confident on this beats.
    What I love about this bike?
    - the sound of 4 cylinder.
    - the ride and the feel of engine.
    - sufficient torque for daily use even on highways. You can just fly on highway in a blink of an eye.
    Dislike:
    - when you park your bike in a small area.

      Kenny after lowering. Did it affect the riding?

    • @baksadai
      @baksadai 4 года назад

      @@scrnepz1 i think it did affect. Felt different when riding my friend z800. If not mistaken, it is harder to make a corner when it is lowered, but it will be more planted to the ground when doing a high speed highway at 180kmph.
      I will try changing back the kit to the original.

    • @baksadai
      @baksadai 4 года назад +1

      @@fingerscrossed2317 not sure. But i do know i feel comfortable with my bike all the way to 180kmph. Comfort speed is at 140kmph.
      At 200kmph, i need to put my head at the tank and my neck can only withstand for 5sec due to the wind blast.

    I have the 2016 Z800 and absolutely love it! I'm 5'8 and have no problem with the height of the bike. As for performance,it's unreal. I've had it up to 123 mph and it still had so much more to go. Yes there's a lot of wind, but just put yourself down to the tank and it's not that bad. Plus there's torque for days in every gear. The only mods I want are exhaust to make it louder and some lane splitter mirrors, that's it. Other than that, it's absolutely perfect.

    So after so many reviews i ended up buying one, i just love it! It looks tough! It goes like a shower of sh#t the only time i notice the weight is moving it in the car park. Ive added slidders tank grips mini windshield and a delkvic oval 320mm exhaust, it sounds like a f1 car!, i ride 80km per day on the motorway, it sits so well, i dont care about the wind, the only gripe i have is the vibrations at 6,000, the seats a bit hard after 2hrs of riding but all these things are nothing when you look at what u get. Even at low speeds the bike sits upright, with only a few times the weight has caught me out on tight turns, it loves to rev but, in 3rd to 5th its still very usable, in traffic for lane spliting its still very easy to manage. I have no regrets at all.
    Only that i cant thrash it enough🙃😉😎 ive spoken with owners from z800's that have bought a 900/ 1000, and they all miss the z800, one guy actually bought his old 80p back!!
    Sooo,
    Thats my review.. just go buy it

    I disagree with the touring part, this bike is great for touring because it has smooth power delivery and overall smoother ride because of the inline 4, all you need is an aftermarket comfort seat and a good luggage rack and you're good to go.

    Cool, I love how you review this bike. Especially because I'm from Malaysia (neighbouring country of Indonesia) and we have quite similar traffic conditions, I can expect performance in daily ride more accurately. The fact that the bike weigh 230KG kinda scares me since I've only rode a 135cc bike myself, it feels a lot lighter and nimble. I'm 140KG and 180CM obessed bastard so I hope those numbers could help me control the bike later on. HURRAY TO HIGH TORQUE BECAUSE I FOOKIN NEED IT!!!!!

    i do prefer choose Z800, because the specs and the price is reasonable, i know the weight This bike is so heavy, but it's good for maneuver or do a wheelie. in Indonesia it self, so easy to find Kawasaki's Services especially in Depok-Jakarta. so, if you guys want naked bike, with reasonable price, good at handling for maneuver or wheelie, has 4 cyl and 806cc, i recommend to buy this bike. (I'm not the Kawasaki's sales or the promotor)

    • @danieldonjohn

      very good points, i didn't try to do a wheelie but i would love to learn on how to do it. any tips on doing a wheelie with the z800?

    • @axltim8329
      @axltim8329 7 лет назад

      danieldonjohn i think you should learn wheelie using 125-250cc first for safety reason. i was also affraid to using big bike like this one for do maneuver. so my limit for do that thing is about 125-250cc, and i think that's enough for me.

    • @axltim8329
      @axltim8329 7 лет назад

      danieldonjohn and yeah this is the tips for ya. very important tips.
      So pick a large, empty parking lot, start riding in 1st to about 4k-5k, quick release of the throttle, and then (timing is "everything" here) just as quickly add back the throttle while pulling firmly on the handle bars (kind of like trying to do a wheelie on a bicycle by pulling the front end up). Initially my arms were pretty sore from all that pulling and no results, as i was out of sync with the throttle (you need to pull the bars at the "exact" time you're adding back the throttle. This is where practice is crucial).

    • @danieldonjohn
      @danieldonjohn  7 лет назад

      i already know how to wheelie on a 150/250/350 dirtbike but never tried it on a proper sportbike before. im just scared of whiskey throttling because of too much power haha

    The Z900 is amazing if you have the money but this is a nice budget option.
    It's heavy because it's based on the old ZX-7R which wasn't exactly the lightest sportsbike, for the new Z900 they downsized the Z1000 engine and used a new trellis frame.

      ah, its quite easy when you are hooking into corners at 100kph, but seriously, parking it is a bitch, it has a turn circle of a truck, so the usual, pull up and reverse in maneuver takes a few goes, those I ride with are used to having to wait for a while till I can get it in hahaha....had mine from new since November 2014 and have done 34000k on it

    • @danieldonjohn
      @danieldonjohn  7 лет назад

      Haha you are right about both parking and the turn circle. both are quite annoying but still definitely a worthy bike to own. you must do quite a lot of riding to do 34k in just three years. i am guessing you are residing in Australia or America as they are high mileage countries

    I went from a light 1000cc sportbike (R1) to this, because i needed a more upright bike because of the classic bad back issue! Anyway, the bike is in specs heavy. BUT it is weightless once you sit on it. - beautiful bike and has just the right amount of power to be a cruiser and at the same time go fast when you need to. xD

    I was going to get a Z800 but here in the US they are now offering the Z900. Had to go with that one. Its got more power and is even lighter than the 800 thanks to a new trellis frame.

    hi Daniel, just wonder what kind of camera kit you were filming for this video. Its footage looks so good; especially when you jerk it up a lot but it doesn't have much blur due to wind and engine vibrating.
    By the way, your review on the bike is so interesting [thumb up] and keep up with your work :) cheers mate

    hey daniel, i noticed your videos have improved a lot since your review on the cbr 250 rr... and nice intro btw. keep up the good work, oh and it would be nice if you make a video of most reasonable sportsbike in indonesia, cs many bikes arent really made for traffic condition in here. that would be interesting.

    I really like this bike, it looks really awesome. I would have to buy a lowering kit cause Im only 5,7 which is ok cause the lowering kit lowers the height so that makes it 809mm. Thank the lord for the lowering kits!

    Way back when, they made the Z750 very heavy. The Z800 repeats the same blunder. When will they learn??? It ought to be 20kg lighter.

    I've always been curious as to why the z900's only ever have half of the head light on...aren't there any brights on this bike, or are the brights just both headlights at work?

    • @NabilBoutib
      @NabilBoutib 2 года назад

      i don't know if i understand your question but im gonna reply , Only one headlight works on motorcycles because it is meant to indicate to oncoming traffic that it is not a car. In essence, motorcycles are signified by one working headlight, while other vehicles are signified by two. It also indicates that the motorcycle is likely quite close in terms of distance google it
