This scene is so powerful, utterly brilliant! Superb film! Denzel is up there with Pacino and De Niro and will go down as one of the best actors in History!
Never thought i'll say this, but it felt weird to be able to clearly understand (and not cringe inside) what the Russian hitmen were saying in the western movie... (Edit of 2024, May - fixin' some errors) - "So, are we going to finish him?" - "Let him suffer... choke on his own blood." "You ain't going to die so easy, Alonzo!" "Waste him!/whack him!" (final was a bit tricky for me - due to the guy basically spitting that final line, he either said "Вали его" or "Пали в него" - first one is "waste/whack him" and the second is "Shoot him up/fire at him!")
Well, thank god that, out of 3,000,000 people, Smiley's young cousin was the girl Jake saved earlier and dropped her wallet and it was found by Tuco Salamanca prior to the execution.
Jan 9th 2024 after Sobh Salat I. Still can't help not watching this masterpiece 🇲🇦s love and respect Danzel .hope see him soon in Marrakesh Film Festival.
This scene. So sad. So Heart felt. ❤️ We can't go back in time but for this Movie, Denzel.Washington get the People's nomination and the People's Award.
I’ve seen a lot of Denzels movies and to me this is the best one as well he played it badass everyone has their own opinion on things it doesn’t have to be the same for everyone idk how people can hate on someone else for what they like instead of being happy cus they’re happy
I feel like as soon as the van pull up he knew what time it was. Wonder why he just didn’t take the light Maybe he knew he was out of time or we just tired of Running.
I'm sure the moment Jake took his badge is when Alonzo realized he's dead already. That's why no one dares to shoot him because they knew he's a dead man walking at this point.
Alonzo’s ego was hurt and apparently with an actual diagnosed individual with narcissistic personality disorder it doesn’t take much to hurt the ego, so he held on to the last thing he believed he could control which is the threat of prison… Just my perspective. Denzel should do a masterclass on acting and Alonzo should be the project you need to ace to pass the class.
Great movie, great performances, but I sorta feel this ending was unnecessary, as him standing in his neighborhood, knowing he's lost everything and is either getting killed or going down for being a dirty cop is much better than actually seeing him be killed. This was simply not needed.
@@Luke-pd7xj his point was to leave it to our imagination either he gets killed or he goes to prison and gets killed. But I disagree in him saying it was unnecessary it was a great ending to a great movie
It's kind of hearbreaking watching a human being, being torn down. Wether hes guilty or not. You witnesss his down fall and desperation. F around and find out. Thats the mafia rule. Wether its russian or mexican or wherever. Dont mess with the devil. You play with fire. Very good acting. Denzel is top tier.
Brilliant scene, great movie but they screwed up with Russian lines at the end. Russian said, "Alonzo, You're not gonna get an easy death" and right next "finish him off". It doesn't make any sense.
Out of context, this scene is horrible lol. In terms of the story however, it's still tough to watch Denzel be brutally killed like that and especially by... Russians. Ugh. Great movie.
This scene is so powerful, utterly brilliant! Superb film! Denzel is up there with Pacino and De Niro and will go down as one of the best actors in History!
I can't decide who had the better death scene between Pacino, in ScarFace and the Recruit, or Denzel in Training Day. All amazing performances.
Absolutely! Pacino, Denzel, and Deniro are legends!
1. Denzel , 2. Al Pacino , 3. deniro
Denzel is one of the best actors ever lived, he can really put you in the moment, he got a lot of scenes that really can touch you

Dam that’s wild
I was wondering what they were saying. Thank you for the translation!
Finally!!!!! 😂😂😂😂💪🏾💪🏾 Thank u
I thought he said "Behold, the great Alonzo!" Then they laugh and he shouts "Fire!" Could be misremembering.
I thought the last line was pali, which means fire
Not many know this but Denzel actually took 50 rounds in this scene just to seal the deal. A true legend.
Lmaoooo
Damm...that death scene was intense
True that, Alonzo got lit up and Them Russians weren't fuckin around 💯
That had Denzel doing the Harlem shake…

At least Al g rhythm use proper word

That line seal Denzel Washington to win the Oscar.
I'd be interested in seeing how a meeting with Denzel and Alonzo would play out.
The acting was so good that even as a kid back in 2001 I felt bad for Alonzo
Exactly lol
Exactly lol one of denzel best performances
When Denzel knew he was defeated but tryna make himself believe hes still untouchable
Aaaah, remember when movies were about people, not ideologies...
There have always been movies about both. They used to be ideologies that didn't challenge your own, so you didn't notice their presence.

I heard a rumor Denzel Washington agreed to play the character if he got his just desserts at the end

Denzel would not play the character if he didn’t die that how much Denzel hated the character lol

She was the signal car, that’s why she lit the cigarette. When Alonzo reversed he tried to maneuver around her and she pulled forward as we see.
