Lindíssimo!!!!!!
Muito obrigado 💖 -Michelle
such an informative video. I watched another where you taught a binding technique similar but you twisted the right side 2x and the left once so this video instruction seems easier. Is that what you have decided as well?
A very pretty line of Christmas fabric.
Thank you! We are happy you enjoy this project. We did do the binding a bit different this time to showcase just another way to achieve the same result. Thanks for watching! 💖 -Michelle
Hi Jen! I'm making this table runner now with the TWAS fabrics! Thank you for teaching us! Sometimes even with the 2.5 inch binding strips and stitching in the ditch slowly, my binding does not catch everywhere on the other side! What do you do in this situation? Sew over the areas that didn't catch again? Any tips or suggestions? Thank you! Karen @kfitzy5
Hi there :) Yes, you can just re-sew those areas that don't catch the first time. We have found that Clover Wonder Clips are very helpful when doing this step. Place the clips with the flat side on the back of your project so the project will slide through the sewing machine. Also, placing the clips every 2" helps keep the binding where you want it. Hope this helps! -Michelle
Can I purchase some Quilt As You Go / sew by numbers / pattern printed on batting Patterns?
Yes, you can shop our selection of June Tailor quilt as you go batting here: www.shabbyfabrics.com/c6786 - Abby
Do you hand stitch the mitered corners?
We machine stitched these mitered corners. Thanks for watching! 💖-Michelle
I have chickadee fabric which will work perfect for this.
That sounds perfect!! Thank you for watching. ❄️ -Michelle
Great video ! Is the pattern included in the kit ?
Yes, the June Tailor pre-printed batting includes a pattern, but some people find these supplemental videos for the Quilt As You Go batting helpful ❄️ -Michelle
Why not use the folded corner clipper on the binding?
That can be an option- we just chose a different method for this tutorial. 💗 -Michelle
I have a question about the back side of this table runner. Only a part of the back is quilted, Do you go back and stitch in the ditch the rest of it?
You can quilt the finished table runner that way, but since the backing is attached to the batting in Step 1 (and therefore gets stitched to each piece of fabric as we go), we find additional stitching unnecessary. Hope that makes sense! 💖 -Michelle
Will fat quarters work or is that not enough fabric? It says a third yd of each but I'd like to try to get away with only using fat quarters. But I only have one of each color.
We are glad you enjoy this fun project! According to the June Tailor Morning Blend Table Runner Quilt As You Go Batting, the fabric requirements are: 1/3 yd each of 6 fabrics, 1/3 yd binding fabric & 50" x 17" backing fabric. Depending on how many FQs you actually have, this may be doable. You can check out the batting here: www.shabbyfabrics.com/p66051/quilt-as-you-go-pre-printed-batting-table-runner-morning-blend 💖 -Michelle
I am not sure what you followed at the beginning when you stitched the back on after you sprayed,
We just followed the edge of the printed border on the batting for sewing on the back. 💖 -Michelle
Why didn’t you sew it at the 45 degree diagonal? That’s what you’ve shown before with your magic binding.
That's a great question! Jen just wanted to show a different way to join the binding and wanted to make sure that the striping lined up for the illusion of seamless. Hope that makes sense! 💖 -Michelle
