- Just a personal picture I've been working on. It's supposed to set the mood of someone slipping/falling away from someone and even though you try your best (or feel like it) you won't be able to catch that person.
Software used: Paint tool SAI.

I remember watching this when I was young.I thought this was all about ponies, but now I know it is the aspect of life. Amazing drawing~

I have absolutely no clue if you still look here, but I was just in awe finding this again. I thought it was gone. It was legitimately 'the' thing that got me to start digital art 8 years ago. It showed me what a process was like digitally, it showed me how to think about going about drawing certain things, it showed me the potential and gave me an insane drive to start digital art. You can quite literally see me trying to imitate this style in my super early art (under different account names, but still) I just have to put that this means WAY more than I could have ever imagined it would back then. I think about this all the time, and it always makes me happy.
Just... thank you, honestly. I'll never forget this piece.

when you are doiing the shading. do you just use a darker shade of the colour you are shading or is there a specific tool you use to do it.

blacksheepification1 From my experience, sometimes you can use black or a darker color then just blur it to how you want. I'm still pretty new to the whole thing though, so take what I say with a grain of salt....^^;

The way artists like you can make these things seem effortless always blows my mind. Sometimes it seems easy to get lost in all the excellent quality stuff out there, but seeing it through the phases of creation really brings it all back.

When I first saw this, when I first gotten into digital graphics, which was only a little bit over a year ago, I only enjoyed this because I got to see how you drew ponies. But now, being able to draw half as good as you and have been into the show for a while, I now only enjoy it for it's story, the great show of emotion, the realism it has with reality. I'd like to say that you've brought greatness to this. Great job on the quality, the backstory, the relatability, realisticness, everything. It's a 10 out of 10 for ya! Have a good day/night! ;
Holy crap! I wish I could draw like that. Well...I can on paper. But I want to do it on a PC. Sadly, I only have a touchpad; extremely difficult.

You do not have to be a brother or sister to be a good friend. A friend is some one you can look up to and when your knocked down they will pick you back up and encourage you. That is how I view Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash. Pro 18:24 A man with many friends can still be ruined, but a true friend sticks closer than a brother. (ISV)

Tablets are touch pads used for digital drawing. Special pens interact with the pad and its really easy to imatate actual drawing on a computer. Thats how the artists are able to make such natural looking lines and strokes. If you have ever tried to actualy draw with a mouse you know why the tablets are so awesome.

Fuck dude, I remember watching this around the end of 2012 and being so amazed with your skill. Got really inspired to do digital art and draw more. Watching this is so nostalgic holy shit dude.

The final image looked like a picture! The drawing is amazing and those are the best drawn eye's I have seen so far! Keep up the Magnificent work!

ohmigosh, everything is so perfect and sad. I love what you said the story is in the description, it's real emotional. Not just a deadly way, like this, lol, but with many other stories. Like love, or abandonship. Maybe even divorcement. The decisions you make in life effect many other people besides just you. even if you try so hard, you might never reach that person. Then when you do, it may be just too late...

You are a true artist, you deserve all of my subs, I love how you put the determination in Scootalos eyes and Dashie's eyes, you make true art.
Assuming RD gave up this hopes to being a wonderbolt, this picture is more an illustration of : Even if you can't live for yourself and fight for your dreams, you can live for somebody else. Arrogance and egocentrism are dangerous but if you learn restraint and love the one who is watching you from the backstage (aka Scootaloo), you could live for her dreams and maybe reach your own in a more humble way. Splendid picture, my own interpretation.

You should I think mlp Art is rather creative it gives you a little more flexibility then other things I draw.

I think I honestly preferred Rainbow Dash's smile in the original sketch rather than the final sad/worried expression. It just fit better to me. The final product is still amazing, none the less 3

Sami Moon, I love love L.O.V.E what you heard Dashie say. "C'mon, Scoot, open your wings, fly..." That's enough to make Scoot be more brave and try her hardest to fly, soar... I love that comment.

Yeah, Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo both have wing because they're Pegasi. But Rainbow Dash might have blacked out or gotten hurt and fallen, and Scootaloo, Rainbow Dash's younger sister, is trying to save her. It's kind of heart wrenching.
Answer, no. But RD is like Scootaloo's big sister. Great artwork btw and i love watching it come to life.

Thanks for the criticism (finally!). I prefer to make my pictures without background first, but I've started to implement it more (sketch wise). I don't think I will start drawing the background first before actual drawing the characters, it's just a personal preference but I want to try and make it the other way around. I will probably try :).

Don't feel like that! There's always room for improvement if you think you need it! I understand that you might be jealous, but that never means you should feel like crap. We can't all lower our abilities to make others feel superior. Why would anyone be more experienced when there's no one to go by or compete with? Everyone creates beautiful art, whether it be a advanced as this, or someone who says the can't draw.

Well, watching you do the lineart and coloring is cool, but it would've been even cooler to see you make the initial sketch.

The eyes bring the image to life. Without the eyes being painted it just looks bland. After the eyes tho it looked almost alive.
