@@themaddikennedy992 idk if this is too late but im also not the og poster but here's what I can tell you. I took it like 7 months ago, and failed with a 104 (you need a 110). I took it again a month ago (need to wait 6 months before retake) and passed with a 123. Biggest thing to do that can help you pass is to use the DLAB training manual u can find on Amazon. And study that with a friend. That's what got me to pass the second time.
In summary: - get the dlab training manual it will basically walk you through how and what to study - have a friend read sentences out to you to best simulate how the real DLAB test is - get sleep night before test - dont stress too bad even if you fail the first time you can take it again in 6 month, but there are also lots of great fields in the AF to choose if you don't wanna wait that long
You can use that language to study or choose to go for another. I do believe if you go for Chinese which is one of the languages available you will be able to complete training faster leading to you being deployed faster.

This is a fantastic opportunity. Reach out to your recruiter and ask them if they can have someone they have out into this job to contact you. That may help.
@@MissAJBayBay1 they have a hard time getting people to pass the DLAB and many recruiters don’t want to waste their time if they don’t think you’ll make the cut also DLI is not easy, it’s not college and many people even tho they pass the DLAB do not make it through all the semesters of a language. It’s rewarding if you put in the work but it requires maximum effort, because unfortunately it’s not college or high school where you can cram before a test, you either know it or you don’t a night before a test.

For anyone looking into this, speaking another language generally doesn’t help much. The tests are on your brain’s neuro-plasticity and not existing knowledge. On top of that, if you speak these other languages because of your family being from there, it may disqualify you for this job. You need a top level security clearance for this job, and having any family, or even close friends, that are foreign citizens will disqualify you for that.

Has anyone on here had the chance to learn Chinese Dialect, that’s what I’m shooting for. Mandarin, Cantonese and so on.
That is one of the languages we teach. You have to score high on the linguist test to qualify for mandarin since it is a harder language to learn
One of the highest work loads at DLI (where we are taught our target language.)
