I just had to tell you....by chance a video of yours popped up on my feed. I have not crocheted for YEARS but I was intrigued by your video of waffle weave in the square. Mad dash to my local yarn store and one week later I completed an amazing blanket for my grandson. Thank you for your inspiration. ❤
I love basket weave currently making a Fall/early Winter cozy set including a pair of fingerless gloves, hat, and a wrap/long scarf, with holes for my hands to help hold the hot chocolate, depending on how much yarn I have left over.
I make alot of blankets and don't like doing same stitch all the time, I will need to try this one; I love 1 and 2 row repeats the most, I think Herrschners stripes would be great in this stitch
So if I wanted to use foundation double crochet .... It would be multiple of 6 + 5 extra stitches.. 5= 1 each for first and last stitch, (that's 2) + an extra 3 stitches to make sure there's an odd number of sets of three in the pattern.. I hope that makes sense
I think it would make a pretty vest or sweater. I'm not sure about using the variegated yarn. I tend to not see or lose the pattern. I'll probably use a Super Saver or Basics yarn just because it use so much yarn.
I make blankets for homeless people and this pattern is so good for this. It will help me use up my odd balls. Thank you ❤
How big do you make them?
Usually a bit bigger than a single bed

Yeah! A crochet project! 😄
Foundation chain makes all edges equally stretchy!
