  • Weexplain how to replace the battery in a Philips electric cliper. In this case the cliper is of the Series 9000, but the procedure is similar with other models/series.
As tools we will need a Torx screwdriver and a soldering iron.
Make sure to check out the hint on the video of how to accomplish this without damaging the plastic housing.
Solder the replacement battery into position and reassemble everything in reverse order.

Thanks for showing me. It confirms my suspicion that the manufacturer has deliberately made it almost impossible to replace the battery, so that the consumer has to buy another clipper. Which I have done today, but not a Philips, I certainly won’t buy that brand again - I went for a Braun model in the Argos sale. I suspect it will be the same for that one too in 2 or 3 years, but at least it was far cheaper and I won’t be upset having to throw that away.

Thanks for the video. I have a Philips HC5442/40 that is of similar structure. The video made me realize that I shouldn't bother replacing the battery. I have to buy a soldiering iron and it will probably cost me $7-10 for the battery.

it's a shame that the manufacturers make it so complicated, after exactly 25 months the part no longer charges, no more warranty, so I'm throwing it away, shitty piece of equipment. And on the Philips website: Unfortunately, there are currently no plans to handle a chargeable process for this product. No more Philips

Hello Zgredzik, thank you for the video. It is very helpful. However, I can't lift the circuit board. In your video, at minute 3:18, you show how to simply remove the circuit board. It is stuck in my case and I don't understand how it comes off. Please give me a tip. Thank you very much :-)
