Thank you sooo much for sharing your knowledge and experiences! I had never heard of Mackenzie Childs or Peggy Karr, and thanks to you I discovered 2 pieces of very large Mackenzie Childs for less than $3.00 for both! I also found 6 pieces of Peggy Karr for about $5.00 for all! All at the same online auction.
My husband was injured 10 months ago, and I, being a SAHM, had to scramble to help make up the difference between full pay and the 60% paid by disability.
You helped keep the lights on, and food in the tummies of my loved ones.
THANK YOU!!!
I'm so sorry that your husband was injured. It is great that you have been able to make up the loss of income. Prayers for a speedy recovery.
Congratulations on the MC and PK! I love hearing stories like this-this is why I started making these videos in the first place. Keep rocking it!
I’m so sorry your husband was injured. I’m praying for him and you.
@@rhondaborders3452 Thank you! He was able to return on June 1. Thank the Lord!
I have the clear bowl with the animals on it. The lid is made to look like the top of of a carousel. I have had it forever.
That brightly colored glass thing is a barometer. They tell you when a storm is coming. The atmospheric pressure change will push the colored water ( you add water and food coloring so you can see it better.) Back up the thin spout. You don't put too much water in it maybe 2 inches of colored water, and wait for a storm of some kind, rain, snow, hail, etc. It's never wrong. I've had mine for decades. Just add a little more water when you see it getting low. It comes with a metal stand that you screw to the wall out of way of foot traffic in your house, so it can hang on it. It also comes with a tiny fragile funnel so you can put the water in. The barometer DOESN'T go outside.
That one is stunning. I wish you had grabbed it. 😢
I was saying that when she picked it up! I was like "Buy the weird stuff CLL!"
Yup. I came here to say that!
The rubber bands are a great idea!
The Bill Campbell lamp and the Hager vase, heartbreaking!
Resellable they would already have been purchased.
George went to the bins today! His comments were hilarious 😂😂
I have that set of dishes, they were hubbies grandmother's dishes. We still use them pretty often. They are pretty
The salt and pepper shakers that come with that stand are cute yellow birds- their tales hook over the branch.
They were probably in the bags.
I would have kept the tree for future finds!
@@stephaniesharkey3538 me too
I think you were having a " Squirrel " kind of day ! So sorry about the lamp, I could almost hear the tears in your voice. :~)
That first painting was of Motif #1 in Rockport, Massachusetts…supposedly the most photographed and painted building.
I think I’ve seen that same scene on an Odagiri coffee mug
Love the colors on the Bill Campbell lamp
Yes!! That was a gorgeous lamp!!
The funny shaped bottle with a spout is a weather indicator. You fill it to a certain spot with colored water. When the weather is going thru a change it will go up the spout. Sometimes mine has over flowed in extreme weathers changes
A barometer. My fishing Aunties and my Mama would make one by putting a soda, or pop bottle where I live, upside down in a mason jar and on good fishing days the bottle would fill up with the liquid. Meaning the barometer is rising, just some trivia. 😏
The glass/ crystal christmas trees. I'm watching and pointing, like you can see me 😂 It just made me remember that the cat broke mine 😢
at 9:08 that is a barometer, i sell them, for about 30- 50$ when they are made by Skruf Sweden, find them a lot here in Sweden :)
I love when you give us a long story, that is what makes me remember more of what you said! Love how you get so excited to find certain things! Just sucks when it isn’t in good condition! Thanks for another awesome video!
I always enjoy your videos and your knowledge
The salt and pepper Shakers when you first walked in the door... You grabed the teddy bears, so cute
OMG the red building is in Boston and is called 'Motif 1" I think and my husband has just been commissioned to paint this almost exact view by one of the former studio occupants. I looked at the painting and instantly thought, wow that looks familiar. LOL
Yes it is Motif #1. It’s actually located in Rockport ,MA just north of Boston. I’ve visited it a bunch of times since I grew up on the North Shore. It’s a beautiful area.
Breath of fresh air watching your vids and finding potential treasures…❤
😢 two beautiful pieces 😢 my heart feels broken 💔 too😢
But thanks for taking us along.
I started watching during the pandemic while living in AZ. So much has changed, but one of my fav new things? Being able to visit the same thrift stores as Jocelyn!
Luv yr vidoes❣ I have learned a great deal n hav found some treasures😉
Great Walk-through. Goodwill had some great deals. Please Stay Safe Happy and Healthy Have A Wonderful Day
Thanks for sharing 🙏
Oh man! I was so excited about that Bill Campbell lamp when I saw it in the thumbnail. I think my heart sunk as fast as yours did when you noticed it was broken. Ugh 😩
The pink jar next to the green & gold acorn you thought was a candle was definitely a candle. It’s a candle sold at Kohl’s. I know because the French vanilla scented one is my absolute favorite candle.😊
It stinks when beautiful pieces are broken. Makes me sad for you but at least you had a good haul in the end.
I have my grandmother’s entire set of Cunningham and Pickett dinner ware. I have the soup tureen and platters and tea pot. It is beautiful. Very cool to see it on the shelf. I would have scooped it up. Just as replacements
“ broken things that hurt my feelings” is a quote I’ll remember when I’m thrifting!
Me too LOL Ugh I felt the pain!
I love this quote 😂 I’ll be using it too!
I like the blue made in Portugal jug and that green glass piece Lovely colours.
That turquoise peacock vase that was cracked was a Gonder,,I have it its so awesome ❤
Oh my Tupperware measuring spoons and cups! My well went dry and the new well was sulfur water. Stained it all!!! ( I moved like 3 years later!) I still use them. They ain't pretty but they are tough!
That China set is beautiful! I had part of that set once...and I MISS IT SO MUCH!!!
Love this video
I loved the peacock vase that was cracked. I'd have bought it and turned the crack toward the back
Yours was the very 1st RUclips channel I ever watched. It’s neat to see you again.
4:10 portmierion mug and lid in box. I sold one recently.
The clear glass Christmas tree, around the 6:30 mark...I was so excited for you thinking you'd for sure see it and pick it up. They are selling sooooo well.
Coffee arrived today ! Delish
I sold a fancy trashcan for over $200.
Hand painted, beautiful!
Hi Jos, love love love your channel and family. You know, someone in the re-selling world should start a 'hospice' of things sales niche. That way, one could pick up that Bill Campbell and send it off knowing it might not make it much longer. After all, we all have chips and some of us are cracked, but the beauty is still there.
My heart drops a little every time she walks by pink depression glass. That’s my jam.
I loved the carousel bowls and the single candle stick…
Oh my! I want that Cunningham & Picket dining set! 😭 it’s so beautiful!
It truly is beautiful!
I love that we saw the color of the week sign - I wish we always knew the color for when you flash the pricetags
Another fun video. I love the acorn thing. I was at 2 goodwills today and found vintage wall plaques. And some vinyl records.
I love the acorn too.
The signs thru the store with the color of the week are great! Can never remember
I looked up the carousel animal bowls, also. There were some solds, but they had a lids to make them candy bowls and looked like circus tents.
I agree, the Hanover Goodwill is hit or miss. Usually a miss for me. I do like that lobster boat painting. Oh, I love the Wendell August Forge dish.
Hi Jocelyn. I wish our Goodwill was as nice as the ones you go to. Our's feels so junky and there's never any bags. But I do make the best of it and try to find things I like. Thank you for taking me along. God bless you.🌹✝️🥰
The music! Love it!
Josilyn...I LOVE your shirt! Great show! :)
I had subscribed to you previously n down through the MANY years. I DO NOT KNOW why I had to re- subscribe.❤️❤️❤️
For Vegas ashtrays you want the ones that were downtown, closed & no longer in business, doesn't hurt to have a short description about the property itself... downtown was where a lot of the working-class people went the strip was kind of new... I stayed at the Mirage - million years ago when it first opened, amazing place Steve Wynn was a true visionary...
Farmount Street casino ashtrays. The Flamingo the one you mentioned the comp for was the first casino on the strip.
Thank you for the reminder - I have the Tupperware measuring spoons in that exact color that I need to get listed. Found them (and other Tupperware items) in a post yard sale giant free pile!
LV your perseverance.
I have the exact same bear salt and pepper shakers. Mine are new in the box. I thought they were so cute too when I picked them up.
Cute birdie pics! xx
I wore my missing lid shirt today. I think it's time for a new CLL shirt :)
great video Jocelyn 🎉
To funny , I have that exact same shirt you have on . Had it on last week and go lots of compliments on it . ❤️
Lol! Is it Schitt's Creek?
That Italy thingy. I have a miniature pitcher with that same Italy mark. Exactly the same.
love your shirt- and we loved that show "The Office"
The salt & Pepper shakers that go with the tree stand you put back are birds... you would have loved them!
You passed up a couple of pretty chintz mugs when you were looking at that first baby carriage planter!
My heart sunk when you found the breakage on the lamp..they did an excellent job gluing it for the type of breakage though. It made me sad for you; I could hear it in your voice for most of the rest of your filming. The let down portion of the filming 😢. I was proud of you for picking up the ashtrays and you comping them, I personally, would have picked them up and lotted them together as a set since they were different colors. They would have been great for a man cave, no high dollar return though. 🦩💕
STUNNING BLUE HUMMINGBIRD FEEDER
It's a weather glass, barometer. I've never seen one with colored glass.
Good finds. I don't like it when i find something that i really want and it's broken.
Love your t-shirt! Such a hilarious tv show! 😆
That cup has a design by Rennie Macintosh, famous Scottish arts and crafts designer
Even new it might have value
Thanks for sharing. A lot of items to search through, it seems that you did not even touch the surface.
Mackintosh is a well know Scottish Art Deco artist and architect. That mug might be worth something.
It was actually a souvenir mug from Gleneagles Golf Course in Scotland.
Great Rose Apothecary t-shirt!!!❤❤
Those Cunningham dinner ware is very pretty.
Hi Jocelyn!! The colored glass piece you thought was for hummingbirds is actually a weather glass, they usually have a metal hook to hang on a wall (I actually have the same glass). Not sure why that one was “colored”, you need to be able to see the water inside rise & fall due to changes in the weather.
the water comes out of the spout with high pressure. so you could still see that. also you can color the water. mine is also just clear but i love this colored one.
@@lalu4334 I did see the spout was clear. I really liked the coloring/painting on it. (The water in my glass is a light emerald green.) 💚
Was just about to post this. Good catch. I have 2 of similar types bot decorated to this level but love the look on the wal. They have some with wood bases that also hang on the wall.
I just acquired a Bill Campbell case at an auction where they did not know what it was. 💕 $11 was my amazing thrift!
Love your shirt 😍
Ugh! I wanted that glass fish? You put back!! but I wanted to share something go check out the glass section(drinking glasses), I couldn't tell you how many glassy baby candle jars I found in that section,(ppl mistake them for OJ glasses lol!)
Enameled acorn so cute!
Love the acorn!!!
Thanks 😊
Miss Jocelyn, could younone day do an experiment? Either let us in on it or dont..
Could you try selling something that has zero solds, like the Goebel carousel candy bowls?
OMG... 15:50 Mackintosh Rose mug... 🌹
love the aluminum 'stuff'
Another great sold video.
It's a regular video not a sold video.
It makes sense that things are broken at GW when you hear the clanging and crashing there!
Absolutely should have purchased the "Handpainted in Arizona" pottery.
i feel like u should have picked up the matching repurposed milk glass vases for your booth and the jewelry box to the left of it for your what not sales!
i sometimes wonder if when u come across lovely plate sets that don’t bring enough for resale if you will get just one or two for yourself because of its draw? i actually have this set and it’s not worth much but beautiful nonetheless! i wish i had the matching creamer set ! it was awesome
i love when thrift stores use saran wrap instead of tape !
sometimes i think things that don’t sell on ebay ( like the gobal glass animal dishes) might sell in a place hands on like the booth…
anddd are the old snow babies a “ thing” again?? asking for a friend 😅 looks like this GW was a hit today!!!
Love the t shirt!!
The kitty cats were cute!
You could just keep the S&P shaker holder in your warehouse, the shakers will show up.
surprised to see that you missed the Noritake coffee pot in the first like ten minutes. That's atleast least 150 low end. The gravy boat and maybe the plates along side it would have been a good deal also~ All the noritake teapots and coffee pots are always a good bet to pick up~~
I have the full set of Tupperware spoons, yeah😊
I wish we had a goodwill that has lots of glasswear and pottery. I'm from Houston Texas and our goodwills have mostly clothing and a few vases and things on the top of the clothing racks.
I loved the thrifting in Houston but I am short and it's so hard to see the hard goods when they're up high!
I found a Dorothy Thorpe cocktail pitcher hiding out in the plastics today with the glass stir stick 😊 It's been a Dorothy Thorpe month - I've acquired 3 different sets.
Fantastic! Congrats!
6:13 Whether that has a sticker or not, it’s Lego from the’60s.
Good deal.
A Mermaid Lives Here! I would have bought that.
The shaker stand could be used as a ring holder
I 💕 loved the boat picture, was it an original painting or a print?
