I can't believe you left the carving of the Matador😱 They are the guys that fight the bulls in Spain and Mexico. And the Tingsha (the 2 metal discs with the leather cord) - they are worth a decent amount and are used in meditation and mindfulness by holding the leather cord and bringing the 2 discs together so they ring a beautiful resonate note. In the same type of ringing that you get from striking a singing bowl lightly on the edge with a wood striker.
The cymbals at 11:52 are Tingsha bells, used in Tibetan meditation. I would have grabbed those, as they can be expensive to buy, especially if they were made in Tibet.
Me too. I hate when people talk about others hating what the first one did. No. I'm completely unphased. I'm just joking to be part of the anti thread. Have a good laugh. 🤣😍🤣😆 Love you. From Joking lady.
I loved the flashback clip, it was so cute! I hope the tape will come off of those mugs without taking off the paint. That was not smart of them to do that. It made me smile to think of pretty little Laurel playing with a dump truck. 😂🥰
You're excitement and happiness when you found you're buried treasure so reminded me of a younger Jocelyn finding a lamp in you're early days and it was very fun to watch, you had me smiling and happy!!🥰
Loved the flashback to you and Andrew. I started watching you a few years ago and watched everything you put out. You've come a long way. Prettier too. A little more mellow and soft spoken. More experienced and a great Mom and daughter. Thank you for all you do.
Hey Jocelyn!!! I am in Lancaster County and was at 'The Big Goodwill' earlier today and wow!!! It's BIGGER! lol They did away with the bin side and expanded the main store!! Now, when you go in, instead of going right, towards the hard goods section....you take a left instead!!! The entire old bin area is now STUFFED-FULL-RACKS of hard goods!! I found about 7 great things, including a Victorian Era Thomas Webb Peach Blow vase with gold enameled florals, for $2.99!!!! Plus a Fenton Guardian Angel Sapphire Birthstone figurine a teal blue large Moon & Star canister and more!! YOU WILL LOVE THE NEW LOOK!!! The shelves are STUFFED!!!! lol I know I would have found more but we had to leave to go to dinner.
That figure with the "horn" was a matador with his cape. I think that, in the old days, matadors wore their hair in a sort of pony tail wrapped up in fabric.
Exactly what I was going to say! The OTHER issue is their maddening habit of COVERING the freaking maker's identification marks or labels with the Goodwill PRICE TAG! 😡 Sorry! Pet peeve!
I love it when you TAP on things, we get to hear how it feels!! Great story about pie crimper, excellent flashback... You're so awesome J ❤! Much love from Montana, and always a loyal fan!!
Jocelyn, that was awesome film footage of the coin find. We bought a metal detector for our 11 year old grandson. He and his grampa went metal detecting around their 1910 house. Found some cool old coins. My husband loves metal detecting and has made some awesome finds.
That statue about 14:50 with what you called horn is a Matador, bull fighter and they pulled their hair back and wrapped into one short ponytail. It was cool. Love your sourcing videos. Goodwill needs to loose packing tape. Happy 4th!🎉
No!! You passed on a bronze sculpture?! What the heck. That was the nicest thing there. Go back and get it! Love your videos and the throwback to 2018 was epic!!! I used to find stuff digging when I was younger. Love love loved it! ❤❤❤❤❤
Hey Jocelyn, I recommend you to keep a simple hair blowdryer in the shop, and try to heat a little bit the plastic tape prior to trying to peel it off of the items. It usually saves the problem since the glue softens. Hope it will help.
@@elainegill2619 At our Menards we have a concert pianist (I know weird) he plays contemporary music, Aerosmith Nirvana. My husband and I try to guess the band and song, it is weird to hear Nirvana in instrumental . I have gotten really good at it.
I loved that you added the flashback video. You & Andrew haven’t changed a bit😊. You were so excited! I am hoping you were able to get the tape off those mugs with taking the paint off. 🤞🙏
Gosh I can not believe all the new stuff in one day. You did well! Tell Laurel I am with her..I don't want to cook either..just hang on the pots and pans sound like more fun . Lol 😆 I would have to tell someone please don't tape over painted items...I can not tell you the times at estate sales that the tape ruined something...they should know better. Hope you can remove the tape. That was such a cute blast from the past...ypu two are good together. ❤
Your metal detecting videos is when I started watching hope you haven’t given up on that sport I know you have a busy life keep up the good work enjoy watching
I'm yelling from Ohio, you passed the bags of what appears to be 2 bags of Italian alabaster stone fruit on the shelf where you were looking at the ceramic clock!
That was a fun video! For just being there yesterday, you got some great buys, including a green truck for Laurel. Miss seeing your metal detecting videos. Hope you and your family have a good 4th!
I’ve been meaning to tell you rubbing alcohol takes off sharpie without damage, be gentle don’t rub too hard. Any oil will loosen goo or sticky residue. I’m pretty certain goo gone is just oil mineral oil. Tap your nails all you like. What fun is having a pretty manicure 💅🏼 if you can’t tap🥁. You do you😊
Laurel's going to enjoy that big green truck! I got a 'Designed by Mara' mug (wild horses) at my fav thrift $1. Always fun to get a little affirmation from CLL!!
You can look at Christmas stuff all you want, I love Christmas. That vase with the green rim is pretty. So are the hand painted mugs, I hope they survive the tape😮 thanks Jocelyn
It's ironic that you showed an old metal detecting vid because I just asked in a comment the other day, if you missed metal detecting. That painting is so pretty and looks so calming.
Hope you successfully surmount the mug/tape situation. Enjoyed the metal detecting clip. Congratulations on being able to find it all these years later!
hmmm i think perhaps 14:26 is a matador. Also the judaica metal candle holder piece is AWESOME! I do well selling those types of brass items. You are right, the green (verdi-gris) and the brass contrast is so typical Israeli and SO beautiful. People complain about me tapping on things too lollll but there is a subconscious reason I do it, and maybe for you as well- we can tell a lot about an item’s quality by the percussing. I am a nurse also and we tap on body parts to check for dullness etc. lol I get you! ❤ ONE MORE THING! lol😂ONLY Fiesta vases do well for me: black royalty vase I picked up for 1$ I flipped for $185 and the Fiestaware Monarch vase in white- picked up for $3 and flipped for $125. Absolutely wonderful finds Jocelyn! Thank you for being lovely and entertaining 🎉
I’ve had great success removing tape from various types of surfaces using a hair dryer and gently warming up the tape and carefully lifting up! Really easy and has been working like a charm 😉🎉
I miss your digging days! I started watching your channel when I got my first metal detector. We were married 25 years, book said silver so I said let’s get detectors, My first week I found a 1864 two cent piece in great condition, which only spoiled into wanting great coins every time, lol. Anyway, I really enjoyed your channel then, and I still love your channel. Thanks for all you are!
Congratulations to you found Edith's photo frame gallery, finds good treasures, look for vintage Xmas thing like from Kmart or Woolworth or other old stores in 70's! Good treasures!😉👍❤️
Take a picture before you try to remove the tape. If the painting comes off while removing then take them back. Inform them not to tape such items together it destroys the items. They don't know what they are doing.
I think it’s crazy when someone complains to you for tapping on it to see what the material is they just got a problem and handing it over to you and when I see you tap in on the next thing I’m proud of you
Most likely the candle holders from Israel are for Shabbat candles. Meant to be use do a weekly bases not just as a decorative piece. Although they can be used to decorate too.😊
Get the Matador Statue, it's a good one. That is hair pulled back to fit under the hat, not a horn. Worth about $150+.
Bull fighting is an ugly sport, worth money or not.
@@shadowponyit’s just a statue. Buying it second hand isn’t promoting bullfighting. It’s possible to just admire it as an art piece.

Yes, I kept saying ...it's a matador, it's a matador!!!

OMG I can’t believe you passed on the Matador sculpture!! Go back & get it!!! It’s by Edith Kolton

I was like NO!!!!! Go back
The cymbals at 11:52 are Tingsha bells, used in Tibetan meditation. I would have grabbed those, as they can be expensive to buy, especially if they were made in Tibet.
I love the “Raindrops keep falling on my head” music in the background.
I hate when people say they hate when you do things. 😅
😂😂
Me too! Didn't anyone teach them If you don't have anything nice to say - then shut up! Nothing you do bugs me!! Ilove it all😊

TAPE REMOVAL- warm the tape/stickers with a hairdryer. Tape/sticker comes off and leaves no residue.
Dawn power wash also removes the tape quickly without damage to paint. Just spray on & wait a few minutes.
Also Goo gone.
@@karencanedy6171 the paint was on the outside of the mug. GG would also remove the paint.

You should tell Goodwill what happens to the paint when they tape them. Until someone does they will keep doing it.
It’s so irritating, and they put sticky price tags over the front of paintings on and on, and just ruined items
Goodwill know and don't care🤷♀️
When you get that soak them for a few minutes in warm soapy water the tape will come off nicely without damaging them 😊
It's sad
Exactly what I was going to say! The OTHER issue is their maddening habit of COVERING the freaking maker's identification marks or labels with the Goodwill PRICE TAG! 😡 Sorry! Pet peeve!
The napkin rings are great to display eggs or round items 😉
That was a Matador the little thing that you thought was a horn is his ponytail. That was cool looking

It doesn’t bother me any. It’s kind of a little bit of ASMR lol built into the Thrifting video!

LOVE the old video and the excitement on your face & in your voice!!
I thought it was funny that 'Raindrops keep falling on my head' is playing in the background and you said it's rainy outside.
"She likes to bang on pots & pans"

"Tingsha (or ting-sha) are small cymbals used in prayer and rituals by Tibetan Buddhist practitioners."
Would have bought them in a heartbeat
At 11:52 in the video. I was about to say the same thing..
I'm dying to know whether you were able to get the tape off without damage? What a crummy thing for them to do!
Soak in hot soapy water - generally falls off
Oil will do the trick also but not sure how it will react to the paint.
The ‘brass’ figure was a matador!
A coin pie crimper!!! Love the throwback vid!
The item right after the holidays with the "one horn" was a bull fighter.

Please let us know if you manage to get the tape off safely . Sadly Goodwill doesn't care about the painted products, only the bottom line of sales.
Oh how much fun was the 2018 flashback! 😄
Great finds. I went to my goodwill today and found one of the first Alvin and the Chipmunks album. At my goodwill albums go fast.

You should have grabbed the matador. Could potentially be worth over $100 +.
Great scores today! Loved everything. Please go back for the matador. ❤ it’ll sell quickly!
11:51 those were Tibetan Tingsha Bells used for meditation and yoga practices. also can be used for Feng Shui and clearing space.
Pretty Mara mug! I started collecting them after finding one in a Goodwill store. And I love that painting! Nice finds!
The statue is a Matador holding a cape for bull fighting. The “horn” was his hair tied back, wasn’t it ?
The statue with the “horn”, I think is a matador holding a cape to his side.
