- Day 27 - PART 1 (of a 5 part series) Life is overwhelming. We all have been blessed with so much to offer the world yet no instruction manual on how to use what we have been given to make a difference- to give back- to impact change- or even, just to be happy. At times, even getting out of bed can seem impossible. Somedays, you can muscle your way through and that is a great victory. However, other days, you cannot... and that's ok too. I believe the low times are forced upon us in order to bring silence and make room for healing. Through this painful pause, we create vacant space making room for new, much needed, love and light to rush in.
I came here through a music search but with only a second of the video I was fixed for the duration! Awesome performance. All these negative comments from people who see no emotion in it. You have talent, and I also love the message in the description. Saved it for those rough days to remind me why to always push forward. Thank you for this.

This is me trying to get out of bed every morning...no one has ever said it was artistic or sexy ....but maybe it's because when I do it, I look more like the chick from the "Ring" crawling out of the well (except blond...and old) instead of this lovely young girl. Love this song! Love this Band ...they can do no wrong in song or video!

I might never get up in the morning if not for my cat, demanding cuddles. That cat found me two days after Xmas 2020, when I was at a very low point and extremely lonely and thinking of giving up.
Weird part is that I live off-grid on 20 acres in the mountains and go weeks without seeing another human. We have large predators here, so we don't let cats outside, and we don't get strays around here because they don't live long.
Weirder still is that this cat looks exactly like my cat I adopted in 1982, who died in 2000, one week after my mom died. I never got over losing them both.
I was shocked when I looked out my front door and saw this beautiful little tuxedo cat, the spitting image of my BFF who had died 20 years ago.
I posted side by side pics of the faces of my 1982 cat (at six months old) and this cat (also about 6 months old) with the caption, which face is cuter? The responses I got were, "Dummy! That's the same cat!" HA! Not only are they not the same cat, they were born in different centuries!
I named him "Houdini" because he's "dressed" in a tux like the famous magician, and he caused my loneliness and depression to magically disappear!
There is some force in the Universe that brought us together. I don't need to understand what it is though. As Iris Dement wrote in her song decades ago, "I choose to let the mystery be".
One more thing to add to the mystery, the day before my father died we talked about death and reincarnation. Dad jokingly told me that he's coming back as my cat. We laughed, and I told him, "Great, now I'm going to have to keep every stray cat that finds me!" Daddy grinned and said, "You were going to anyway!"
Touche, Daddy. I have.
About 20 hours after we had that unforgettable conversation, my Dad was dead. He was shot by a lunatic as he went outside to work in his garden. This severely mentally ill man believed that my father was intercepting his "thoughts" with the big, strange-looking antenna Dad built in his backyard. It was a ham radio antenna.
In Texas, insane people are allowed to buy guns.
Sorry about the long, weird story that no one asked for. Just skip it if it's TMI. It's been on my mind a lot recently because the story isn't over, and has a new, bizarre twist that keeps me on high alert.
The brilliant songwriting of Nathaniel seems deeply personal for me and reminds me that life is full of challenges and heartaches but is always worth living.
I love this verse from his new song, "Heartless":
"Don't be appalled by the fall, it didn't hurt that bad.
I've hit the ground harder,
I've hit the ground harder."

First, I love this group. Every song touches me in some way. This video - wow - it resembles one night in rehab. I was rehabbing for a stroke and I was conversing with God. This to me has imagery similar of watching a leaf or a bag float on air. Awesome.

Captivating... I was washing my car and turned on S.O.B. probably a hour later this song comes on the speaker and I hadn't heard it before and I liked it. I was done washing my car so I grabbed my phone and played the song again... Maybe took 2 steps, saw her, and spent 4 minutes in the middle of my driveway captivated by this. I also had no idea this wasn't the VEVO music videos I had turned on earlier till I scrolled down to comment. Great job performing, recording and editing this! Artist/Labels should be paying you big bucks to produce music videos for them, if they aren't already!
I would use another word aside from "captivating" but I don't really know how it makes me feel... and I think that is what I like about it. Being so captivated and just soaking it in.

Tbh I find myself once again daydreaming about the idea of artistic self-expression. Oddball maybe? Na. "Just me being me". Mostly it's correlation to soul and spirit when upon my considerations of the prior, the question occurred whether or not this video has tangibly helped your career in any way..... unless, of course, this was just some kind of randomly dandy thing that lil ole you came up with on a whim?? In which case, I'd suggest to you that you have a great talent and an obvious well seeded passion for the arts. Saddly though, in some way I also feel deeply as though truly and fully expressing one's self should not be acceptably confined by taboo to one order of people, but come natural to each and every spiritually alive soul in God's grand symphony of space and time....

I can't say I've ever been "heart Brocken", but waking up at the ass-crack of dawn is a trying time for me. Well, 99% of me, at least, but that other 1% is a chipper little bastard, especially in the morning.

I hate to say this, and I am a HUGE fan, but this video missed the mark. It would be beautiful if it was just persons struggle to get up and process/get through the day and it would be maybe be beautiful if it was a interpretive dance like thing in/on a bed. But trying to make it both? Kinda killed it. STILL. Great band great song.
No instruction manual? Very dramatic, but there is a manual. It is called The Bible. Try it. You'll like it. And for you, I think you will find a good starting place to be The Book Of Psalms. (The poor girl in this video looks possessed.)
