For some reason, I get emotional when I hear the intro song , my eyes just well up in tears. It brings this 45 year old man to tears. I love Australia especially the country.
We have a programme in NZ called Country Calendar, been going since 1966 , still running on Sunday evenings . I think why it’s lasted so long is because it brings the Country into the townspeople. Who possibly have never experienced living and working on the land . So good luck to Land Line for the next decade. As farming way of life has now become very diverse.
Thank you Landline for bringing Australia and her people to me in the US of A! Seeing these peoples attitudes towards adversity, and triumph, is truly remarkable.
Landline's enduring success would have made my late god father Ken Watts who spent most of his career at the ABC. It's also the program I have missed most in my many years away from Australia and can't wait to get home later this year and to be able to watch it every Sunday. Thank you Landline.
My addiction to Landline!! I come from Borneo, grew up in a subsistent tiny farm. My first show was at Univeristy in Melbourne and the rest is history. My salute to the tenacity, innovativemness , inspiration of the farmers and of cource Landline team. Keep going for the next 100 years for humanity.
Congratulations landline !!! Have been watching since the first show, real stories, about real Aussies and I'm one of them. Had horses growing up and got into the rodeo scene for years. Don't ever STOP Making that wonderful show. 30 years! Where's It gone....Ha. 💟
Just stumbled across this amazing show from Nova Scotia Canada. What an amazing way to tell authentic farm stories. We have something similar here called Land and Sea. Congrats on 30 years from Canada.
A brilliant show with wonderful reporters and people behind the scenes. Congratulations and I'm sure the good, beautiful and sad stories will keep coming.
Thankyou... for being real Australians... our country people make us what we are.... best show on TV by a country mile.... nothing else matters apart from Landline and the people they show... Thanyou So Very Much.
here in uk england we have country file been going more years than i can remember im 75 born on a farm and now follow as many videos as i can watch cheers and happy birth day.
Cheers from Canada! I discovered Landline during the Pandemic lockdown and I'm hooked. Thank you to ABC for uploading these videos on RUclips. Talk about bringing the country to the city - these are stories I'd never hear about here in Vancouver. Fan for life and hope to see it for myself one day. Cheers :)
My mother-in-law told me once about this show, but I said to her I ve been watching this show for about ten years now, and she got upset at me for not mention it to her earlier. Happy B-day Landline.
let me tell you ,the magic of the land grabs you .as a country kid that went off to the big smoke for 2ndry school ,we'd come home for holidays ,with the question "why the hell do they live out here ,in this godforsaken hellhole. then about 2 weeks later i remember the magic of the land hitting me over the head ,and i said ."i finally get it ". thanks auntie [ABC] for your incredible contribution to our way of life . and the mob at landline from the management to the reporters .you do an incredibly valuable job of caring and encouragement and telling their stories we're all in this together . one of the unique features i pick up from the reporting ,is the incredibly uplifting virtue ,is that you reporters really care ,and are using your gifts to help .and it's an apparent throughout your reporting .
Absolutely Love it! Think we have been watching the program for all the 30 years. We need more of this, the Real Australia!! PLEASE continue & stay real.
I love this special, from Oregon backyard farmer here! I’m lucky so many farms are so close to me, we buy directly from them or the many farmers markets we have! We have a show in the US called America’s Heartland, which is very similar to the Landline show!
Grew up watching landline. We'd all come in and watch over lunch as a family. Now I live overseas, still in farming and so happy I can access the program online so that my sons might feel connected to our land ❤ keep up the good work
I came to Australia in 2006 from Iran and Land Line has always been the only TV program I was looking forward to watching. BTW why I feel I didn't see the reporter before Pip (
I wish the Landline episodes would be in a podcast format. If not, maybe a season/series purchase. I’m from the U.S. and view Landline via ABC Australia satellite channel. Landline is so special. Beyond what ABC has imagined. Love you Pip and your team. ❤️ 🤗
When I was a child Landline was already an established show on tv, since then I have seen a lot of goof information about our country on the show, but sadly I haven’t seen it since my children were born in the eighties, to busy I had 5 but also when they took out the old tv boxes I couldn’t work the new ones so I haven’t been part of the family since then. Congratulations on the show and good luck for the future.
Congratulations Landline great show and hope you can give us another thirty years Something I’d like to mention I’m 70 years old all my life I’ve heard from different governments about our very hard times of droubt They have said they were going to build some very large damns in the outback to catch the water we are blessed with every wet drain absolutely brilliant idea to get our land crops livestock and farmers on the front foot instead of not sure or worried what to do Get the bastards to commit and build them
Would be more inclusive to have some more stories that include a racial diversity. My family has been here 200 years since the First Fleet. I’m 7th Gen Aussie. Also half Chinese. Spent the last 50 years watching lots and lots of white people dominating TV. Other nationalities also worked this land and still do.
I have to watch this from the city So I remain Australian . There is so much American Festering Shit on Commercial TV its not our big wide brown land its a 53Rd State of the US
For some reason, I get emotional when I hear the intro song , my eyes just well up in tears. It brings this 45 year old man to tears. I love Australia especially the country.
love you sweetie xx
And now with technology, you have brought Australia to the rest of the world. My dream is to visit someday

Always interesting and down to earth.
Long time watcher
My mother-in-law told me once about this show, but I said to her I ve been watching this show for about ten years now, and she got upset at me for not mention it to her earlier. Happy B-day Landline.
Fascinating tape. From Toronto Canada seeing a way of farming I have never seen. Large farms of the scale in Australia is unheard of in Canada.

I’m from the hunter valley & I wait & watch for the show every weekend but can’t handle the country music.

"wasn't bleeding or in any state of bother by any means.. just couldn't move my body"
ONYA LANDLINE
I was an avid watcher of Country Wide too
I'd like to subscribe to Landline without being spammed with all ABC content. Please separate it into it's own channel.
I like this job but how to get contract work?
Her guys, im doing a task on this show. What is the format of landline: documentary, news? I dunno u tell me
Sorry my name is Brian Duggan and I now live on the Gold Coast 😊 Queensland
Love it real tough people who take all the knockbacks on the chin. Real people the outback Aussies good luck to you all from a Pommie bastard!
How come you haven't done a show on wind farms or aren't they real farms?😉
Good onya Pip, you can come and visit my farm anytime
I want to meet one of the girl from countryside
I watched it back them bc there was nothing else decent to watch on a Sunday when we watched TV.
Bitter Sweet?
You would think with landline that all regional Australian is in qld,nsw and vic . Typical of the abc to forget the rest of the country.
some of these farmers should be herding buffalo they are better than cattle for the environment
Sounds like something a coppa would say.
