Looking back at this reminds me of the dark days of the Women's Division. It's like the Attitude Era ruined our outlook for Women's Wrestling. They are just as good and at times better but of course their momentum gets undercut faster than Ryder's 24 hr dance with the IC Championship. It's shameful too because while Trish and Lita heavily get praised for their work, they really didn't do much but bring attitude to women's Wrestling tbh. Trish brought the "Mean Girl" persona and fully committed to the character while Lita brought the "Punk Rock Princess/High Flying Luchadora" style (minus the mask),but other than that, what have the done other than that if we are being honest compared to underappreciated and overlooked work horses like Molly Holly,Victoria,Jazz,Chyna (before the divas division was a name), Jacqueline Moore,Ivory,etc,Names like those was overlooked at that time and not talked about ever and I wonder why

Aj was essentially the catalyst for the divas revolution. She's the most important female wrestler wwe has seen in a long time. But of course, they don't want you to know that.

Aj Lee was one of the coolest divas I had the privilege of growing up with. I miss her! She redefined what it meant to be a diva. She dominated WWE in all aspects not just in side segments.

And Nikki's "record" will always have an asterisk beside it for me. She didn't even defend the belt for like 3-4 months leading up to breaking it. Like wtf kinda booking is that? You can't lose the belt when you're not defending it lol
Trish's longest title run had a very long period where she didn't defend it either. Although if I remember right, Trish did have the excuse of being injured during that time. But yeah, given the timing hard to believe Nikki didn't beat AJ's reign to at the very least get them to not have to say AJ had the longest title run as soon as possible.

AJ was fire during that run! I loved it but I remember seeing dirt sheets that WWE was turning sour on the run because she was doing too well. They didn't want to put themselves in a position of her carrying the shows. Which goes to show you that the head of creative at the time "Stephanie McMahon" is just as out of touch as her dear old daddy. That was typical WWE when something works it has to be killed.

Instead they constantly overshadowed him even when he was champ and then they decided to give the main event to the rock and john 2 years in a row. AJ is the G.O.A.T of the PG Divas class. The Bella twins among the other ones would’ve never made it this far in the Rated R era of Divas. AJ Lee made it work and her character was awesome for what she had to work with during this PG era. Stacy Keibler would’ve destroyed the Bella twins.
I will always miss AJ Lee. The way she would skip down to the ring was just the cutest thing ever! That and she's just a great entertainer.

AJ will always be my favorite female SUPERSTAR, Lita and Trish were before my time and they absolutely deserve every single ounce of respect they get, but AJ was the catalyst for the women's revolution and a big reason why female superstars are where they are today (like every other comment down here says lol).
After the Attitude Era I had stopped watching wrestling. AJ Lee single-handedly got me interested again...she was a breath of fresh air. I absolutely hated the Bellas. The best thing to happen to the women's division was their departure.
She is doing great work in the mental health community! Her speeches and writing are inspiring.

When AJ Lee was famous on WWE, the name of AJ Styles while he was still in TNA was pretty much overshadowed by her. Now after AJ Styles became pretty much WWE‘s best performer of the new generation, AJ Lee‘s name became forgotten. Seriousley, back in the day when you looked up „AJ“ AJ Lee came up the most and AJ styles not at all. Now when you look up „AJ“, you only find AJ Style and not AJ Lee anymore.
Everyone talks about the four horsewomen and the women's revolution revolving around them. Let's not forget about Aj Lee. Before The Bella twins got everything handed to them because of who they were sleeping with, and before Charlotte flair got reign after championship reign, there was AJ Lee.

Its one of the worst things to happen in wrestling that she left right before they start letting women have actual decent matches and hiring actual woman wrestlers and not just the types of women Kevin Dunn keeps pictures of hidden in a closet somewhere in his house. There is no way she will return even if, by some bizarre circumstances, she calls it quits with CM Punk. (I sincerely wish CM Punk and AJ Lee the best in their marriage, though.)
