I have this issue with my bike ...if it's cold it does not wanna run i really need to take time to warm it up with the choke and stuff
When it’s in the negatives in my area my bike barley wants to start with full choke as well!! Thankfully it barley gets that cold nowadays 😅 thanks for the comment ❤

Theb2004 636 was the first new vehicle I ever bought. It's still my favorite bike after owning at least 15 bikes.
Sounds amazing my 04 Zx6r is about the same starting up maybe a couple more tries but once it’s going it’s a beast
2003 was the first zx6r to receive fuel injection but it didn’t get a Mass air flow sensor so the bike never knew how much fuel to add when it was cold. Which is why it had that “fake” choke which just tells the fuel injection system to add more fuel. Pretty amazing how far they’ve gotten but $15,000 for the new zx hell no 😂
Yes it is amazing to see how far fuel injection came but still amazing how good it was in a 20 year old bike 💯🔥
If it’s a fake choke. Can I leave it on while running it on the highway with some ethanol
@@Vaded.0 ethanol is bad for small engines in the owners manual for my 2009 Yamaha fz6r it states to only use unleaded 87 octane with less than 10% ethanol as more can damage the engine. Ethanol attracts water which isnt bad for cars since their engines are so large but the smallest 125cc engine is about 46mm which is tiny ethanol would damage the valve train.
A 2 wire maf doesn’t change fuel tabes based on temperature, a iat sensor does or aat sensor will, some bikes even use coolant temp as a reference for ambient temp, but a 4 wire maf sensor is just a maf & iat built together, after some research I found that a 2003 zx6r does infact have a map sensor (and manifold pressure is relative to flow) and it’s also claiming to have a iat sensor, so I can’t seem to wrap my head around why it has a choke besides the computers not smart enough to take that sensors data and create a new fuel table on the fly

Hey just got this bike getting my plate tomorrow just was wondering exactly where I put it lmaoo my rear is like yours do you ride with a plate and if so where did you mount it?
the mount should be down by the rear fender! if not you might have to by the mount sadly.

If he doesn't rev it, it will shut off due to it being a cold start

Starting a motor up when it’s cold. The opposite of a cold start would be starting up the motor right after you just rode it.
An example of a cold start would be starting your car after several hours of it being shut off or when the motor is basically ambient temperature. An example of the opposite of a cold start would be starting your car after you just shut it off to get gas where the motor is still warm/hot.

@@wavegod6548 What exactly do you mean by that question? Every normal startup is called cold start, as the engine is still cold and you haven't started it in a few hours/days. Its basically just the naming of starting your engine when it wasnt running for awhile, where the opposite is just a warm start when the engine hasnt cooled down from the previous run
