After riding a zx14r for a few weeks i picked up a 03 636 in blue and have loved every minute of it. Its my daily and has been super dependable. The 14r is like riding a rocket. It was comfortable on long rides and lots of fun to ride but one slip of the wrist can accidentally engage the warp drive and fire up the flux capacitor and by the time you blink you're in the future wishing you wore your brown pants. 🤣🤣🤣
How is the 03 636 for daily riding? I want to get a 2007 one in my area but I’m not sure, I plan on daily riding it (sort of) to work (which is like 30-40 mins away) but idk
@@lolyouwontfindme6070 it was great for daily riding. My daily trip to work was 12 miles one way and I never had a complaint (40 yr old rider at the time) It was great on the street and has the top end to comfortably ride highways no problem. I loved it, I ended up trading it for a truck because my son was learning to drive and needed a vehicle. I'm currently saving for another one (now 42)

Then you need to go research YOUR bike. His newest bike is only a 13. That's 3 years between yours and his. The possibilities in the differences between them is more than what you see on the outsides. For example, I have an 06 r6. The 07 is identical. They changed nothing. 05 to 06 got a ton of engine upgrades. In 08 Yami many don't engine changes, yet again. Which I feel like was all part of the plan to make the r6 a closed course bike. Normal take offs on the street are where you will bl notice the biggest change. I think they went from 08-12 with this engine and tunning set up. They moved pretty much all your bottom end torque to the upper- middle and top end rpm ranges. So at normal take off, the bike grips like it's going to stall on you. It has basically no power at low rpms. Therefore, this generation of the r6 is meant to cater more towards your track riders and racers who are always riding going anywhere from 8k-17k rpms. There's more differences too. Such as suspension, gearing, weight, compatible parts, etc etc. The best thing you can do is go do your own research on different generations of the bike YOU want for the way YOU ride.

Hey brian, hope you're doin great man. Currently looking at an 04 636 with about 35k miles on it. Gonna go check it out tomorrow. Or is most stuff limited to used parts and junkyard diving? If anyone on the comment section has any feedback, or Señor 636 himself 😂 I would appreciate it a ton. Either way, keep killing it out there man. And much love all the way from Puerto Rico
you need a tune for youre 03 04 i think that make a huge different in idle pulling and overall power. 03/04 636 have a lot of valve overlap, thats bad for idle quality and power, i don't know about the overlap on a 13+ 636. i think overlap and fuel make the biggest differents between these bikes. for the 13+ the same storie about a new tune, it runs hot because it runs lean. for emision bullshit kawasaki let the bike run on the lean side, you have take the restricte exhaust off and put a shorty on it so now it runs very lean. jason britton do have for a 13+ a custom mapping for stuntriding i think? _ about the high rear end on a 13+, no one ever tried to lower the back off the bike?? i think the problem with scraping on the highway is a lot better with a lowering. the problem is that the front fork rake will change, so be carefull with that.
Great vid....I think the comparison is a little unfair given the almost 20yr difference. The mapping on the newer is probably so much more cleaner. A feat that had many ecu flasher and even manufacturers trying to figure shit out....like how the time goes it get any better...but it does with the right intent ...Soo newer 636 wins hands down...I think most of the newer 636 power probably comes from tuning and some other fine minute shit...honestly if top notch stunts says it pulls given he is an f4i guy it must...nuff for me...the newer bikes don't seem to have the lag that older bikes do...probably cuz of the mapping and shit like that...even if the engine is rebuilt every year...not knocking but...probably just doesn't compare....damn fine vid...keep that shit fucking coming
I have the 2003 636 A1P carburettored bike (4th generation) which is a few months older than this one which is (5th gen). This bike here is modern compared to mine because this one is fuel injected, mine isn't...good or bad.

YAY! Another video!
Brooo I got a 07 Zx6R building into a stunt bike and I’m getting another 636 05 model maybeeee
I wonder if the older bikes can last with upkeep, or if the cost becomes excessive after a while
Ur both bikes looking f**king dope 🔥 🔥
you need a tune for youre 03 04 i think that make a huge different in idle pulling and overall power.
_
about the high rear end on a 13+, no one ever tried to lower the back off the bike??
i think the problem with scraping on the highway is a lot better with a lowering.
the problem is that the front fork rake will change, so be carefull with that.
I never wanted a sports bike besides the 03-04 636
💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 love both bikes
I just picked up a 06 636, hope it lasts me for the summer till I can get a 13 +
I love both of them 🤩
Appreciate d lil history bout these bikes...
I WISH TO GOD I HAD THE CONFIDENCE TO THROW MY 2016 636 around like you do bikes bro lmao!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow 🔥🔥🔥🔥
They look both great
636 the Science guy
I have the 2003 636 A1P carburettored bike (4th generation) which is a few months older than this one which is (5th gen). This bike here is modern compared to mine because this one is fuel injected, mine isn't...good or bad.
Dope af vidie my guy 🔥💯💪
My man Joey!!! All love my guy!
Love those bars 03 .. circus freak x
Hey, so like, is there a difference between bikes in the same generation? Like 2013-2018 or something, what are the differences?
Brian you need to get an FZ/MT 07 and test it out for a while and make this video again! Now which 636 you choose is up to you lol. Hell when you come down to Texas for any rides I’ll happily give you my bike to test out 🤣
You are the man Brian good content gang 🤘 happy holidays
Merry Christmas man!!!!
