@@1will2killNot in this era, and not on a great organization like the Spurs. This roster right now could be a playoffs team if everyone stay healthy (And sadly Vassell their 2nd best player is already injured), but the Spurs just need an elite point guard or playmaker to be a contender imo, the thing with Wembanyama’s archetype (Elite defender, especially rim protector, elite tough shot maker with clutch gene 🧬, elite off ball player with his ability to stretch the floor as a 4 or 5 with his 3pts shot, and to provide vertical spacing with his lob finishing ability), the thing with this archetype is that it’s super easy to build a team around him, just like KD, AD or Gobert (Except he is these 3 in 1 body), or Duncan, D.Robinson, Kareem or Hakeem back then, because with him and all these player except KD, you already have a Top 10 defense guaranteed, and they aren’t ball dominant so they can fit with any player, in fact i really believe if Wemby was on the same team with a guy like Luka, prime Harden, prime Cp3, prime Russ, Trae Young or Ja morant (Some of the most ball dominant players ever, but also some of the best offensive player ever, elite scorers and playmakers) it would be an automatic chip, and that’s because Wemby give you that Top 10 defense+ that elite scoring, off ball movements and gravity (And maybe playmaking too).
And i think it would be the same with any other superstar, imagine Wemby at the 4 instead of Aaron Gordon, Jokic would throw lobs and outlet passes all game long, and Denver would not only be better offensively, but also defensively 😂They would be unstoppable.
Imagine Wemby at the 5 next to Giannis and Dame or Jrue 😂Wemby is basically Brook Lopez with KD’s bag 😂 So they would also be better offensively and defensively.. They would be unstoppable.
Or imagine Wemby at the 5 for the Kings, Wemby is 10x the defender Sabonis is, 5x the scorer he is, and i think he can pass the ball just as well .. If Wemby was on the Kings last season, all these possessions were Sabonis is completely open in the midrange would be cash money 🤑 so same, their offense and defense would be better.
You have 2 type of players in this world, the floor raiser and the ceilling raiser, most players are both but they’re all more one than the other, for exemple Lebron is the ultimate floor raiser, meaning he can carry a team of bad/average players to the Finals or deep playoffs run because he is the most complete player ever, elite scorer, elite playmaker, elite defender, so he just needed great role players who can shoot 3’s and play defense to go far, and he is also a great ceilling raiser because he is a Top 2 player ever, but not elite, for exemple his fit with Wade wasn’t great because Wade was basically a smaller version of him, a ball dominant slasher with bad 3pts shooting, so the spacing was bad, that’s why they had to play Bosh at the 5 and Bron at the 4, and when Wade had the ball Lebron couldn’t impact the game as much because he was an average shooter, but he was an elite cutter and lob finisher, elite off ball defender and help defender and also a big body who could set screens that’s why he is still a good ceilling raiser, and players like Harden, Westbrook, Luka Doncic or Trae Young are similar to him, and like Harden said « Im not a system player, im the system »
And then you have the ceilling raiser, Steph Curry is the ultimate ceilling raiser imo, and unlike Bron, he can’t carry a team of average role players to deep playoffs run because he is a specialist, not a complete player like Lebron, he was a bad defender 90% of his career, and not an elite on ball playmaker, but because he is the best 3pts shooter and off ball player ever, because of his gravity, because he doesn’t need the ball to score and create chaos in his opponents defense, he can play with any type of player without them having to sacrifice a part of their game, for exemple Luka, Harden, Westbrook or Lebron himself could still dominate the ball and average 30 and 8 with Curry on their team, and with his spacing and gravity he would make them better, we saw it with KD.
But unlike Lebron who is also a good ceilling raiser, Curry isn’t a good floor raiser because without Draymond or any dominant defenders on his team he wouldn’t be able to win anything.
And MJ is like Lebron but except of being the ultimate floor raiser and good ceilling raiser, he was the ultimate ceilling raiser and good floor raiser.
And i think Wemby will be like MJ, the next ultimate ceilling raiser, and also a good (And maybe elite) floor raiser, because he can literally do everything, and he can play with any type of players or system .. Wemby is the only guy i’ve seen with real potential to become better than MJ and Bron, and the NBA is lucky OKC didn’t land him because they would already be a title favorite with him imo, look how good they are with Chet, and Chet is good but not close to Wemby imo, Wemby is already the best defender in the league according to the stats, and Top 3 most clutch player .. It’s ridiculous how good he is already.

It just seems like he couldn't possibly have superstar mentality at such a young age, but there it is. Game after game, he wants the ball in the 4th quarter whether his team is up, down, or tied. @famemontana You do realize when wilt played he was about as much of a freak of nature as this kid was in his time. You dont hear many people call him the goat though. The goat debate is never about who the most skilled is thats just part of it. How does his career play out? Does he get the chance to compete for 5 or more championships? Is he the dominant force on his team for his whole career or does he end up getting a co star that takes away his shine and his stats go down? Like you said health as well. How many chips does he win? What do his career stats look like? How many mvps? DPOYs? NBA 1st teams. A lot factors in. He has the gifts to be an all time great or the goat but that doesnt matter until he gets to that point. People need to slow down cause he just started his career. He is learning at the pro level. He is impressive sure but he isnt even putting up the best rookie numbers ever right now.

@@Mike-hy8cs GOAT debates are public speculation and opinion. Kobe is not even mentioned in that debate often. But yet Wilt and Kobe lived up to their expectations. On top of that 100 point game he has 2 rings and a 7x NBA scoring champion and is a HOF. I get your point but Wilt isn’t a good example. He was definitely one of the goats regardless of public opinion

    • @Mike-hy8cs
      @Mike-hy8cs 9 месяцев назад

@famemontana Right its all opinion based. There is a more common opinion amongst fans and that tends to be considered the goat. Majority of people will say jordan hands down. So in order to have people think wemby is the goat he has to either come close to or beat out a good amount of jordans accomplishments to be considered by many the goat.
For example some people (not me) think lebron is the goat now but lebron needed 10 finals appearances, 4 rings, 4 finals mvps and 4 regular season mvps and the all time scoring title to get to that point. And most people still have jordan over him. So lets slow down and see what wemby accomplishes. Remember he needs to be put in positions to succeed when it comes to team accolades like chips etc. Doesnt matter how talented and gifted he is.

popovich waits to see the talents before reacting!! but most people realize that Victor must be left alone! either in 4, or in 3 or in Pivot, everything does not depend only on the opponent, but on the momentum and whether his freshness allows him!!

THE BIGGEST HIGHLIGHT play occurs just after 10:50 when Wemby, the string bean, knocks the stockier Grayson Allen to the floor despite Allen initiating the contact! This could be a martial arts skill where Allen's force is turned against himself because under the normal laws of physics Allen's blow should have knocked the skinny bean pole Wemby backwards. The opposite happened! I've been on the receiving end of that kind of force that Wemby unleashed. I was literally pushed back while the other person was standing on one foot without leaning forward.

6:06 🤣🤣🤣 KD look like, "Ohhhh.......that's what trying to guard that swing move from a 7 footer feels like..." KD's made so many defenders feel helpless with that move; it's strange to see someone put that helpless look on HIS face for a change 😵😵😵

Lebum OVERRATED. Wemby is more skilled NOW than Lebron has EVER been.
lebron is great athlete, a faster karl malone, or a bigger Westbrook, but this "we've never seen Lebron James before" BS is LAUGHABLE.
Westbrook is a smaller version of Lebron. They play the exact same way, Bron even has a worse TO% than Westbrook lol.
No wonder Lebron has 3 NON-BUBBLE RINGS and these young clowns d-ride him.
Wemby will blow past Lebron without all the steroids and pro-Lebron Klutch Sports propaganda.
