Lago Di Sorapis in Italy: A Beautiful Turquoise Lake in The Dolomites

Being 28 weeks pregnant, Alan and I can't be stopped from going to the most beautiful, turquoise-colored lake in Italy. Come join us as we hike this beautiful day through the Dolomite Mountains, a mountain range located in northeastern Italy, and into our destination, the Lago di Sorapis (Sorapis lake).
The Dolomites are renowned for mountain climbing, hiking, cycling, base jumping, and skiing in the winter months. As well as paragliding and hang gliding in summer and late spring or early autumn. Hiking trails in the Dolomites tend to mostly open by mid-to-late May after the snow has melted.
Lago di Sorapis, also known as Lake Sorapis is a lake in the mountain range Sorapis in the Dolomites, 12 km away from Cortina d'Ampezz. The lake has an altitude of 1,925 meters above sea level and can only be reached by foot and by helicopter. The strong turquoise color is dust from the glacier. What a fulfilling experience this was!
