My husband I went to there this weekend. We had the opportunity to meet Don Aslett, the man himself who owns the museum and has written books in many languages. He is 89 years!!! He gave us a small personal tour since nobody else was there. I LOVED it. I would recommend anybody who is in Pocatello that is looking for an adventure back in time this is the place to go !!!

I thought I was the only person who liked the aesthetic of old laundromats!
Especially when the dryers look like robot heads.

really enjoyed this. my dad always wanted me to open a business I had no interest in anything but opening a museum would be great...I am now inspired to open a museum of something

Years ago recovering from surgery at home I was given a bedside toilet chair. I refused to use it and when I was well I stuck it on the deck and made a planter out of it.

I was a janitor for 15 years and for some reason this episode made me giggle a bit. I remember all the mess we had to clean, trash to be taken out, ECT. I had to quit cause of the worsening of a back condition. I miss it sometimes.

Janitor in a Drum is an old cleaning product, from the '70s(?). Their line of feminine hygiene products did not sell well. (thanks George Carlin)

I used to be terrified of the vacuum when I was younger. It had this bit where it looked like someone’s foot was cut off and attached to the vacuum. It was terrifying for me 😂

@@TheCarpetbagger Out in the Robothut Museum I have working cleaning robots , some toy ones with brooms and other that suck up the dirt, seem like they should have had at least 1 robot clearing device.
So many items I can remember my mother using. I got my arm caught in one of those ringer washing machines. Still have a huge scar. Really cool place! Does anyone know why they got rid of the black toilet seats? Thanks, Jacob!
