The way you mentioned the recoil being more of a bounce is spot on. I dont get the quick flippy feeling im used to. And i personally love it. Usually my dot jumps out of frame but with the sig its just a little hop. Ive described it as almost dull or sluggish recoil but in a good way.
@nickleon4696 I think if you use your support hand like most do on 1911s it will not be a big issue. It's not my favorite slide release, but I would not say it is the worst I have used. I do wish the would have extended it slightly wider and further forward I could say.
Question for you! Did the Holosun 507 Comp direct mount to the slide, or did you need an adapter plate? If you needed a plate, can you share where you got it? Thanks so much!
I picked up my new P226 XFive Legion yesterday and I was going to adjust the trigger poundage a few minutes ago, but it appears the builder of my pistol forgot to install the set screw. I can't see one, and when I push in slightly with the 2mm Allen key it feels a little springy, and I'm assuming if there was a setscrew it wouldn't move at all. This is a really big letdown and is highly unacceptable.
@@Heteachethmyhandstowar Thanks for the response. I'll look tomorrow, I'm too miffed to look at it again today. The trigger is very nice as is, but I'm guessing it's not good to fire it without that setscrew.
@silverbackgorilla2112 I think the screw is doing nothing at lowest weight so should be safe to fire. But not 100 percent sure myself without looking myself.
@@Heteachethmyhandstowar Thanks, that makes sense. Without the setscrew the trigger should be at the max lowest poundage. The little takedown rod pushes in and out just fine, so no issue there. The trigger feels amazing and I would prefer not to send it in as long as it's not causing trigger damage without the setscrew.
@@Heteachethmyhandstowar Hey brother, my range trip was terrific and the pistol functioned flawlessly. I shot the best group I've ever shot with any handgun, and I've had some $4,000 ones. Freestanding @ 7 yards I put 49 out of 50 shots in a 2"x 2" square bullseye and the miss was only .75" away. I tweaked the pre travel and reset slightly and it's the best trigger I've ever experienced. Stay Safe!!
Is that canik slide stainless or coated? Wow looks nice. Came here to see your review of the 226. Just picked one up last weekend. Can’t wait to mount a 507 comp on it
Can you please tell me what holster you’re using. I’m struggling to find one and would actually like to run this in a match. Although recently I’ve had some light strikes… so we’ll see
I thought about this already. I would say if you don't mind the extra weight of this gun, it would be fantastic for duty. It is essentially the same gun the seals carried for years made better. Many police forces carried the p226 as well. The comps should not cause any reliability issues since it is not a true compensator, but still helps with muzzle rise.
@Heteachethmyhandstowar it's become my favorite gun to shoot. But I read some people say they had terrible accuracy so I took it out to 50y which I have no issues with irons and should be very simple with a dot and I'm all over the place. I own several pistols and shoot some better than others but nothing this bad. I have been running some aac 9mm to try it out so I'm going to try to rule out ammo, optic, and myself before I necessarily blame the gun
@Heteachethmyhandstowar just incase you were curious i have an update. The accuracy issue reviews were for the 320. I ran some winchester white box and had no problem on 12" steel at 100y. Gun is very accurate. Issue was with aac 124gr ammo. Ran some through my staccato and same issue, it must be tumbling
Mine was 2.5 out the box. Turned in the front screw and it went to 1.5lbs lol so backed it out, didn't change. Turned it in until it stopped and still at 1.5lbs lol
Wondering if you have the x5? Do they feel the same? I was looking either get the x5 or the x5 legion. But I am not really ready for shooting in open class.
I have shot both. The X5 is a little heavier. This one has a little less muzzle flip. I would say the regular x5 would be better for uspsa. This is not the best open gun, but it's great for idpa co division .
One of my favorite pistols to shoot. I placed the Romeo X on mine, it works well.
Romeo X looks nice. Have not used one yet.
I have the Romeo X Pro on mine too, and it’s beautiful!

Adapter plate at C&H Precision

Which is flatter and faster? This or your ported mpa ds9?
