Iris OG - Iris Guitar Company

- The Iris OG was the original Iris model before they expanded into other designs. It has a Gibson LG-ish feel to it - 25" scale, Sitka Spruce top, Honduran Mahogany back and sides, rosewood fretboard and bridge
This may be my favorite of the first batch of Iris Guitars we received - it's got a nice full tone for a relatively small guitar, and is very comfortable to play. Too early to tell! I am excited about these guitars and am optimistic about this company's future!

About Iris Guitars - 'Located in beautiful Burlington, Vermont, Iris Guitars began in 2018 as a division of Circle Strings. By using super futuristic manufacturing techniques and space age technology, (along with years of traditional skills, knowledge and experience), Iris is able to hone in on the design and construction process of fine guitar building, while limiting the styles and options available, to bring you the highest of quality at an affordable price.'

Thanks! Happy holidays! 🌞🎅🏻🎉🎉🎉
Very beautiful sound👍
I prefer this personally to any other guitar I've ever played hands down! its my dream guitar
They are consistent in tone. Love mine
So dang woody love it...
mid rangey sustain for days..... and great balance. quite sonorous for a medium size body! love it. i wanna say that iris really has the "round", yet shimmery trebles nailed.
Nice job Ian. The guitar sounds nice and woody when it actually opens up it will really sound nice
Ian my birthday is coming up near the end of January would make a nice from you to me
I mean nice present from you to me for my birthday.
I've had the chance to play one and I was smitten. I hope they're all this consistent
Hello Ian, could you help me with to tell how this model stack up CEO7? Somewhat both sounds similar online.
How do you like that big ol chunky neck on the Iris guitars? I love them! I have the DF model, and it's very impressive. Martin Monels strung up these are the best kept secret, IMO.
Ian, please excuse my lack of knowledge, but is the name of the tune you are playing while fingerpicking from 2:53 ?
which one should i get if i can only have one guitar? waterloo wl-14 or iris og? all i want is old dry growly woody tone strumming and singing at home
What did you end up going with?
@@mbrackmann8 i bought the “Atkin 19”. it is amazing. vintage j45 sound in a smaller body. perfect.
ไทยแลนด์มีขายไหมครับ
this og sounds really good, maybe good enough to sell my D18?
If it's wearing on your shoulder these guitars are very comfortable. My other favorite is the 00-18. Actually have my eyes on a Yamaha red label FG5.. they sound like a 40 year old d18. I might add I have no experience owning either but I've played them. Proper complement to my guild m20, I hope to have the iris OG and Martin 00-18 someday
@@Ledzepfan88 the 00 is more of a finger picker than a strummer. That’s why the iris og model is very interesting, it’s equally good for strumming and picking.
Red labels are great bang for the buck but I don’t think it’ beats a d18 reimaged
@@kalleblomkvist4173 I saw a video of a red label vs a d18ge and j45 maybe they had dead strings but it left me with the impression that it's not a "good guitar for the money.. it's a good guitar period..
@@Ledzepfan88 yes it is. where you from?
@@kalleblomkvist4173 MO , while I miss California the price of living is pretty intense especially on a fixed income
Is this the new J-45?
More like an LG-3
J45ier than a J45
