Had IndyCar Racing II for PC. It was very VERY fcukin hard to play. Managed to win the 500 once by causing a wreck that killed the whole field. "Oh shit, you alright??"
I had that first game on my Atari with the little wheel paddles. Wow, VGs have come such a long way. You look at the latest Forza and it’s ridiculous. Sim racers are actually becoming real racers. Its only going to keep getting better with haptic feedback on pedals and steering wheels.
The IndyCars in Automobilista 2 are awesome. I read that the Racin' USA 3 DLC which was to have the modern cars is delayed because Indycar has approached them in regards o a licencing agreement.
CART is not, and never was, IndyCar. CART was an entirely separate racing series, which stood for Championship Auto Racing Teams and had no affiliation with IndyCar, nor did they sanction the Indy 500.
@@m.a.mehalick0910 Sir, I never said anything about CART holding affiliation to IndyCar. I'm pointing out that there's one CART licensed game that isn't in this video, where other CART licensed games are showcased in addition to the games with licenses from the IRL+IMS. Why pick a time like this to come off looking stupid?
@@MatthewDaSmitdog furthermore, the series from 1992 until the split lawsuits was called the "PPG CART IndyCar Series", so they definitely were IndyCars at some point. And yes, CART World Series was cool; definitely missed a spot in this video.
Al Unser Jr Turbo Racing, Michael Andretti World GP, Super Indy Champ, Andretti Racing, Cart World Series, and Newman Haas Racing are a few that come to mind missing from this list.
@@MrMichkov Many of these games have been performed using regular emulators on Windows 7 and especially Windows XP. Unfortunately, I did not try Windows 10

In this list you could add flag to flag. This game was launched for the sega dreamcast
We need Indycar games and they should be licensed.
I agree, a few year ago I sent a letter to Codemasters about that and the reply I got from them was basically a we don't care
You forgot the Andretti Racing game for the PSX/Saturn and Windows from 1996.
You forgot the CART World Series game for the PSX from 1997.

In ToCA Race Driver 3 there was also IndyCar. As I remember with real drivers and car liveries.
They really need to make a proper IndyCar game again like F1 or NASCAR
