Fantastic assessment, crazy how many of those players currently have 10 -20 games under their belt. Still a lot of talent that will be churned through at a rapid rate of knots as teams lose patience in the player development arena. The future looks bright. Keep up the fantastic work 💙💛🦅🏆
I know Warner+Reid+Hewett sounds exciting, but thats a poor midfield mix. All are forward running offensive players who dont defend, very similar to the Yeo+Kelly+Reid we have now, which clearly doesnt really work. Need a guy like Hall in there as part of that main rotation(70-80% CBAs) to cover for those other guys. Id like it if we had those 3 Warner/Reid/Hewett with Hutchinson and Hall as the 2 others to balance the midfield out a bit, gives us a similar mix to what Port has around JHF/Rozee/Butters. Need 2 wingers on top of those 5 mids ideally, which means 1 less forward spot for someone. I think Lindsay also fills the same role as an offensive mid with Reid and Hewett, I dont think hes really a winger at all outside maybe his 1st season. If we get him I think he ends up in the guts as a receiver, Zach Merrett sort of role. If we got Lindsay or Allan this year and get Hewett fit, I dont think Warner is a great fit for us tbh, at least positionally. He'd be fighting Hewett and Lindsay for midfield time. I really think Banfield and Walley could both be top 25 picks just quietly. Obviously hard to predict as we have no idea what McQualter wants to do yet, should have a better idea by Jan/Feb when we start to hear about players training in new positions Assuming we got those same players you added, id go something like: FB: Hough H.Edwards Maric HB: Baker Bazzo Ginbey C: Banfield Lindsay Hutchinson HF: Hewett Allen Long FF: Walley Waterman A.Reid R: B.Williams Warner H.Reid I: J.Williams(fwd/ruck), Hall(mid), Duggan(def), Dewar/Champion(fwd) Sub Johnston/Chesser Midfield rotation of Reid, Warner, Lindsay, Hewett and Hall
Barnett will come good. I think McQualter was given the job (partly) because of his development experience. All our young guys will up the ante over the next few years. Exciting times!!
You can scrub Harley Reid from that list, as he will be back playing for a Victorian club by then. Apparently, St Kilda and Essendon are up to their eyeballs in the Harley chase, and I'm sure a few other clubs will be joining the queue.
I really hope we can get Hewett on the park. I like Ginbey from that draft but Hewett as well as the power and speed seems to have that bit of polish that we need. And we really need a better ruck solution than either of our two current options. I actually wouldn't have Duggan in our best 22 now!
@Grant_Ferstat the role he plays in inherently one that is generally under pressure, so you see the no-look hack kicks long down the line and remember then vividly. Reality is his kick efficiency was 70.3% this year. He puts his body on the line and does other things too that aren't on the stat lines. 100% he walks into any other team.
Trade our future first to Richmond for 10 and 18. I’d then take 12, 14 and 18, whilst trading 26 into next years draft. Well then have plenty of capital to pick up Warner with future first whilst matching any bids of NGA or f/s prospects.
This is a sad but relevant video, many of our latest recruits will be over the hill or retired by this stage. Graham, Baker and Owies all past their primes or done. Sheed done. Yeo, Kelly, Cripps, McGovern done. Pick 3 where are you oh you're a champion running around at Carlton, you're just entering your prime, McQualter about to get the sack, oh dear. What we need to rebuild again oops we can't Tassie have entered the competition. Reid has requested a trade to another club. Matt Clarke returns to Richmond commenting how he loves their youth focused list build.
Yeah for sure, so many picks and trades. Three years ago you wouldnt have a lot of players there on this list now. It will look very different, but a fun exercise nonetheless
I still believe that Bailey Williams can really take his ruck game to the next level or at least to the level that is adequate enough for a finals team
Hes never spent a pre-season training as a ruckman. Hes never spent the time to build his body up to be as big as the other ruckmen, always been told hes going to be a fwd/ruck. If he puts on 5-10kgs so he doesnt get pushed around he will be better. Its not like hes short for a ruck or anything, same height as Xerri and Marshall who are 2 of the best rucks in the comp. He can be competent im sure of it
Oh god no. Do you remember that game this year when he had a laptop under his nose for the entire half time break as he was been shown all his clangers that resulted in goals? Then he got subbed out. He isn’t AFL standard I’m afraid.
If Bailey Williams is still our best ruckman, we're screwed.
Yeah. I really can't believe this won't be addressed by then.

Thanks Jesse, Great video mate. Keep up the good work.

@@georgepappas4628 Apparently they up their eyeballs in very poor culture and a champion would rather not play either shitclubs.

Agree we desperately need Hewett fit, now more than ever after giving up pick 3
Duggan will still be there, without him the backline is very inexperienced.
Hes not that bad lmao, Duggan would get games in every team in the comp
@@stallon720 I really can't agree with you. His disposal is truly awful. There is no way he's walking into a top side.

YES, also anything on Carrol and Devon granger
Do you know how to use Google?

It's way too difficult to project this far ahead.

2025, 2026, 2027. In 3 years, would it be 2027 instead of 2028?
Midfield looks a little worrying 😅
who's that
No andrew gaff?

We need to see more from Callum Jamieson.
He needs to have an injury free year in 2025.
Likelihood is he won't make it but who knows
@@user-ln8we1ud9c Yeh i don't think he will either but hope for the best.

I dont think it matters what we see from him, hes a 1% chance to make it. Shown nothing as a KPD yet and clearly isnt an AFL level ruck
Malakai Champion??
hello eagles fans, i have just joined the eagles in the wings member ship, does anyone know where i see where i am on the waitlist?
I just called them directly
The waitlist for a seated membership is years long, don't get your hopes up
