I’ve been telling Aaron that for four months now, but he doesn’t seem to listen you got an F minus for the draft F minus for free agents. I can’t believe it but he’s worse than Belichick and that’s not saying anything.
Last year's draft if it wasn't for Maye, The draft would get a big fat F. When it comes to free agents Hooper and Gibbson were the only good additions.
The front office is rated an F. They have done nothing to help this team evolve beyond the scrap heap. Drafts for the Patriots with rare exceptions has been nauseating.
100% agree. The only good pick they made in the entire 7 rounds of the draft was Drake Maye. Maye was obviously the most important pick to get right, but at the same time every GM, coach, or average football fan sitting on their couch would have done the same at #3. The Patriots were either picking Drake Maye or Jayden Daniels depending on what Washington did at #2. The rest of the draft was horrendous, and so was last year with the exception of Gonzalez. You can't have a successful rebuild when a team only drafts 1 guy of starter quality out of all 7 rounds. The free agents the Patriots brought in the last couple years all suck too except Hunter Henry and Austin Hooper.
100% agreed. The coaching is bad, and so is the talent. The terrible personnel decisions can't all be blamed on Belichick anymore as Groh and Wolf didn't sign helpful free agents and drafted abysmally. No credit for drafting Drake Maye as EVERYBODY knew it was either Maye or Daniels depending on who Washington picked at #2. All the other players the Patriots picked in the 2024 draft has been terrible and all the free agents except Hunter Henry and Austin Hooper that the Patriots have brought in the last few years have sucked.
Absolutely correct and that's the worst part. The fact that the organization really has a difficult time evaluating+finding talent. It should not be this way.
They had no replacement for Brady after they booted him out of Foxboro, no search or plan except for Jerod Mayo after dismissing Belichick, I can hardly wait to see who Kraft hires to replace Eliot Wolf? They’re not firing Mayo or Wolf, maybe Covington.
A lost season. Focused on highest possible draft position. Love #1, but top 3 is great. Get the absolute top LT in the draft. Then DT, DE, LB. Back to offense for best available gamechanger RB.
I think Wolf totally fumbled the trade deadline. There were players like Thornton and Osborne that we could gotten at least some draft capital for but ended just cutting them anyway. Even if all they get is a 7th round pick it's better than nothing.
You people still like to compare Dan Campbell's 1st season vs Mayo's 1st season, because of the records and that's lazy. Detroit had an identity since game 1, they were playing as a unit and they were close in most of their games by the end of the season. Campbell started calling offensive plays at the start and when that didn't work, he gave the OC to Ben Johnson. He corrected his errors. In year 2 they won 6 more games and played spoiler to the Packers who didn't made the playoffs that year. Do you really believe Mayo has 6 more wins next year with his "coaching" style? I have no hope of that happening. He's been mediocre all season long.
The problem is/was always Kraft. The coaches are the scapegoats. If you don’t spend $ on quality players you won’t win period. Brady needed weapons. He took pay cuts specifically so Kraft could get him weapons. He didn’t. Same thing with Belichick. If you don’t have the players you won’t win. Chiefs resigned Chris jones because the ownership knew you need a pass rusher. We let Judon walk. Remember Joe Thuney? He’s starting guard for the chiefs. Maye could’ve used him. Bob Kraft is a cheapskate & the coaches and or gm will take the fall
Mayo isnt going anywhere and wolfe is going to get another year to get it right. Now if even with Maye being the starting QB for the Patriots next season, and they still cant get a wide out to come here like Higgins, or who i want AJ Brown., and DK Metcalf. Then hell be gone
Wolf should go, not Mayo. Look what he did to Mat Judon. Our defense would have killed with Judon, K White, and B-More. He makes bland moves and wouldn't see a spicy pick if it won the heisman 💯
@@lordm91 your saying that we should have kept him and paid him when he's been awful all year in Atlanta vs. getting a top 100 pick and blaming Wolf for it. That was a legitimate good GM lvl move not the other way around.
@BG-qs6ii that would only be true if we actually get a good player with that pick. Wolf hasn't shown that he can do anything good in the draft. Also, ATL has an awful defense supporting him, unlike our defense. So he may have been better 🤔 👀
wolf has been in the building for so long, he gets no excuses he should be fired.

First coach gone should be WRs, then DC.

Appreciate the consistency Aaron
I hope you are correct. Wolf needs to go as does Matt Groh. So does the Def, Coord.

Use FA for WR, OL, S/CB, run stopper.
See if Jones could take a coaching job

You fire everyone, hire a GM and left him hire his coach. Stop trying to be different, that is how it is done in the league.

What about WR? Most chatter I hear about the Patriots is they need LT and WR as their top priority.
I really dint see Wolfe as a problem right now Mayo and the rest of this staff needs to go period
Replace Wolf, Covington and the WR coach.
Time for Wolf to become assistant GM.
Absolutely right Aaron he’s paying Wolf peanuts and you know what you get with peanuts the end result you get total dog shit and that’s what we got!!!

They tried to trade for them and nobody wanted them for picks

Who will do what Wolf is SUPPOSED to be doing if he's canned?
Thomas Dimitroff possibly. Used to be a BB scout and was the GM for the falcons 2008-2020
Wolf has to go, he drafted poorly and the OL is a disaster

Wolf, Groh and that .....stein are 🇮🇱, they ain't going nowhere
Lmao
No coaches should go before Elliott...
Wolf should’ve never gave Dugger and Awenu contracts he should’ve franchise tag both of them. That was a stupid jackass move right off the bat.

Judon has been awful in Atlanta. A top 80 pick is a fleece
@BG-qs6ii he wasn't that with us but ok

@@lordm91 he's next to Grady Jarrett in ATL. He's washed and old. Most GMs have a bad first draft and there's a ton of data supporting that
