The amazing part is you can tell this is his dream. Just by the way he looks at the crowd and smiles. I could only imagine having millions of people who love and sing and resonate with your art.
I feel so so so lucky I grew up when I did. 90’s will go down in history as the best decade in music and everything else. Also notice how everyone was deep into the music and not holding smart phones. Miss that
I was 14...a little french kid spending his summer vacations in england. I discovered this song on a bournemouth beach.... This time was exeptional ! I wish kids nowadays could feel what we felt back then...
The look on Billy's face when he heard everyone singing along, pure joy. Especially after hearing all the stories of his depression and all he went through, he looks so happy in that moment 😊
they would’ve been doing the same thing back then if they had iphones so i don’t get your point 💀 you can’t make that comparison when it wasn’t an option back then
@@realtalkz3930omg haha right over your head. He said that! He’s well aware there were no phones lol He saying no one holding up their phones and being annoying! That was the point.
They crushed it at Lollapalooza in '94!! Drove straight to Charlestown, WV from Saugerties, NY after spending 5 days there for Woodstock. That was an AMAZING summer!!
It sure was. I saw Pink Floyd at Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia June 94 then went to Woodstock 25 year reunion in Saugerties. A summer I'll never forget.
We were on the cusp of something great back then… now look at us, arguing about nothing on social media… it stopped smelling like teen spirit years ago.
@@cainesy7913 I know that. Just realized I said was lol. I meant is. Maybe I was referring to the fact that he isn’t putting out anything new anymore. So he was writing poetry. I hope he still is and out of the blue he’s going to surprise us with some more music.
Saw SP at Mt.Smart Stadium in Auckland at the Big Day Out....first time I heard Billy hold 40,000 people silent as he sang "Hang your head, Mr. Jones..."....you could hear a pin drop.😮
His voice was at its peak right here. Amazing. So glad I got to see them live back then.
his voice is the same if not better. never saw them live myself
The smile on his face wholesome af
He choked up and almost laughed when he heard them singing all the words.
What a special moment!! ❤
I think it was more because they sang it out of time and too early lol
@@junebug3254 That's what I was gonna say. You can clearly hear a drunk guy singing out of time and key lol
That has to be the best feeling in the world.
No cell phones, no selfies, no instagram, no Facebook
just kids being kids
I love it. Just living in the moment
No shit
frfr
The Luddites were right.
Whst a special time in history.
If we could only go back to that standard of music and the way you would see live music.
I was just saying this to my son as we were comparing “my” lollapalooza to “his” lollapalooza. These clips don’t come close to showing it.
Oh be quiet
@@ryanedwards6923 No. You.
What are you talking about?
Our parents probably think the same thing about our music and our grand parents think that of our parents music.

I'd say the 80ies but 90s are close
One of the greatest bands during that decade..A time very missed
American culture was certainly headed toward something beautiful. All changed in 01

Yep 90's is the great decade for music. The end of Punk, Grunge, Fusion, the first raves and Technivals. And 90's also are my youth. I was 19 in 1994.
He was so dreamy back then ughhhh
Maybe just high on something or both..
Billy dated my buddies cousin during the making of Siamese Dream. He used to love to sniff her panties. He was awesome.
He was a very handsome man. He still is, but I miss that head of hair.
Now he’s 👨🏻🦲
Still is the most gorgeous man ❤
That song chokes me up every time.
I should imagine as a singer that must be the most satisfying part. Having a crowd sing your song back to you.
I was thinking the same thing. Has to be one of the more surreal and memorable moments.
Unless you're John Mellencamp. Then you stop them for singing the chorus in the wrong place.
Reminds me of the greatest times in my life! Im so happy i got to grow up and enjoy the 90s as a young adult. Best era ever!
I was 24 and the world was my oyster.
No pearl was found only an empty shell
What a great time to be young. Youth I miss you!
Amazing band amazing artist
We were so young and thought the world could never end...
Then we had kids who are ruining everything
Well, we’re both still here…
Amazing time. Thank you for the memories .
Beautiful song, goes deep

I love you´re Music...greating in love from Germany

Singers LOVE when their fans do this..... You can see the first time they show his face he's so happy!
It means that they have a great fanbase!
No idiots holding up their phone recording crappy video. They are in the moment and in the music.
What you talking about this was from 1994 people didn't have mobile phones yet haha

1994 - the last great year for rock music.
Did Lollapalooza 92' in Cincinnati and 94' in Indianapolis. Both were tits!
Was there for the same show but near Pittsburgh at the Starlake Amphitheater. Amazing night.
It sure was. I saw Pink Floyd at Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia June 94 then went to Woodstock 25 year reunion in Saugerties. A summer I'll never forget.
When you realize you've reached so many

It's the kids Marty. Somethings gotta be done about the kids!
Today's kids that is.
glad to know im not the only one who comes in early with that lyric lmao
The Pumpkins = the Great Pumpkin...the absolute best of all the grunge bands nobody comes close
I love his teeth fsr they're so subtly distinctive ❤
Almost vampiric 🧛🏻
Wish i could have been there for that moment. That's so beautiful, could make somebody cry ya know.
Beautiful ❤

Seems like yesterday
Damn this song is lovely
All over chills ❤️🫶🏻

Billy loving every second of it
Chills...........God I miss the 90s. It was the last of so much
Billy has always been a great writer
Oh, Billy C!!! ❤😢❤
That is beautiful.
Me encantaba esa canción, su forma de cantarla, su voz y la letra. Que recuerdos. Un cantante , letrista y grupo excepcional
How does he sing like that? So unique.
Love em. So special
What a voice
Lovelovelove❤❤❤
They were very unique.
I saw them play in Melbourne, Australia, and they refused to perform this. We were all devastated.
I think they got that smile
I send a smile over to you!
❤❤❤❤the killer in me is the killer in u ❤❤❤
He was cute!
Goosebumps. 😊
Not a phone or camera in sight. We were all just in the moment, experiencing a peak moment
The man was a poet. A genius! A bit out of his mind and that’s how most of the greatest artists are. Just a different breed of human being.
He is still alive

Goodman I miss these days.
Saw them on this tour, Lollapalooza '94. The days are long but the years are short. 😮

Solo il tempo ti scivola addosso e sa fermare una lacrima sul tuo viso prima di cadere a terra e non finire il suo viaggio nel tuo ricordo ... ciao SP

Cell phones have really been a blessing and a curse.
I can't believe it's been 31 years

Back when skill made you the most popular band in the world.
Love it 🖤

Look! No damn cell phones!
And?
Music had a standard at one time.
I'm glad I got to experience live music this way. I feel sorry for the phone zombie generation!
💜💜💜
I betcha he didn't like that. Lol
Someone needs to invent time machines ASAP yesterday

This.
I miss my dad lol
Hardly anyone realizes he's laughing because they keep singing the lyrics one bar early
❤ sneak a shitton of mics in ornamentals of venue ✨️get the crowd tuned in 🌐🫡❤️
I miei 20 anni😍😎
No puedo dejar de ver al tipo que traen cargando y dando vueltas, parece que se partió la madre como 3 veces
I can't take it anymore. There is no point in going on.
I wonder why this can't repair the damage Billy's dad's done to him? You can see it has a few seconds of healing, but it just won't stay.
