I love both references but a lil more the Eternals one, it's about time they talked about a freaking celestial sticking out in the ocean. I still believe Tiamut is sleeping.
This must take place after Shang-Chi since the after credit scene showed Bruce with the inhibitor and the arm sling. My guess is that, while the fight happened months ago, the footage was leaked recently, maybe even to deliberately screw up the parole hearing. We also know it takes place after The Eternals since there's a news story on Jen's computer about a big statue coming out of the ocean.
yeah, the whole underground club thing (metaphorically underground only xD) is probably not allowed to be broadcasted, hence the video could be leaked after a while. Otherwise timelines wouldnt make much sense.
I’m on the same page. That video was somehow leaked but occurs in the past. Hence now the issue understanding how he eluded the surveillance - I mean we know how but the world doesn’t :) As you said, events of the premiere definitely occur after Shang-Chi.
That's what most people assume (so did I), but the showrunner's official explanation is that Jen's blood only healed Bruce's arm in Hulk form; when he returns to human form, it's broken again and still healing.
Did you notice Jen's phone background? (around the mascot for hire scene). Also (I don't know if he will but) Wong needs to cameo in EVERY Marvel show/movie. He is just delightful.
Just to clarify the cage match was months earlier. During Shang Chi Banner is still human but has the device. This doesnt say he just broke out, just that the footage just surfaced.
people complaining how Jen and Bruce were talking clearly on the phone when he was in space... the answer is simple, he wasn't going through a tunnel duh... 😂
I can’t believe this show had the balls to have Bruce say “I’m a completely different person now” and Jen look at us and say “HA”!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Don’t get me wrong I love the first episode as an origin story but this feels like the REAL first episode of the Lawyer Show that Jen promised. And it looks entertaining as hell! I was worried that Jen was ONLY hired because she is the She-Hulk but Holloway seemed genuine when he said that she laid out a winning case against them even before the mistrial, and a law firm this big wouldn’t risk hiring anyone less than a great lawyer even with the publicity they bring, because if they sucked as a lawyer that makes them look bad. Also I freaking love that they got Tim Roth back as Emil/Abomination. He does feel like he is putting on a con, but he does genuinely seem somewhat reformed. And he was completely honest when he said he thought he was the good guy, at the time Hulk was a true threat to the public, and the only way to level the playing field was to use that discount Super Soldier serum. And if you rewatch the movie he looked like he was on death’s door before he was treated and became the Abomination. But I’m certain this is all Contessa Valentina trying to get him into the Thunderbolts.
I think She Hulk as "mascot" is a wise choice. See, if you are super human client, you are more likely willing to collaborate or compromise. This may reduce conflict or drama and may be more beneficial.
The Abomination part is clearly part lie on Emil Blonsky part. He very much wanted to take serum and blackmailed Stern into giving him some radioactive Hulk blood to turn into Hulk like monster, cause it very much was personal for Emil. Its clear from his acting, that him saying "not personal" was a big lie on his part xd
I like the authencity of the series. That family scene and the look she gave when her mom said, "he's much too young for you" were spot on. By the way, great reaction and review as always.
The best part of this the whole underground fight scene to me is that if you go back and watch Shang-Chi when Wong and Abomination go back through Wong's portal, it's back to the prison cell we see in this show. Pretty impressive planning on that one.
It kinda feels that the timeline is just happening real time now. Banner's arm was still in a sling in Shang-Chi and at least 4 months (correction, just rewatched the first ep. It's a few months not 4) have gone by since he's healed it so that underground fighting had to of happened back then (and who knows how many more times since?) and it's only the footage that's leaking now that this big court case is coming up.
"Holliway" is making my "Skrulldar" needle go DEEP into the red. Also, new rule, freeze reactions on full page web articles. What a treasure trove THAT was.
If I wasn't sure they were setting Abomination up for the Thunderbolts - I am after Jen "talking" to Bruce and her bringing up the idea of rehabilitation. A lot of people miss this while comparing Thunderbolts to the Suicide Squad, but in the latter in most iterations they're blackmailed into joining it. Thunderbolts in most iterations is bad guys trying to go somewhat straight - I feel like this show is a brilliant place to help this idea settle in with the audience.
Timeline wise it's definitely after Shang-Chi cause we saw human Bruce with the device in the post credit scene. So this is probably some time after that, that it leaked. I kinda assumed that they put Abomination and Wong in Shang-Chi specificially because of She-Hulk happening later. Love the show!
Yeah, i think people saved the video of abo vs wong for the moment he gets on parole. Just like in politics, you use the info that you got when you need to use it
disney plus has the “watch the mcu in timeline order” thing and they put this after moon knight and before ms marvel. so yeah after shang chi, eternals, no way home and multiverse of madness
"I'm not gonna watch the first 4 episodes of She-Hulk and then go watch Shang-Chi" *literally did just that before watching this* Also I had to see where they (Wong/Abomination) portaled to after their fight and the room looks exactly like Blonsky's prison which I really enjoyed that they kept that continuity.
Well the news report said the footage leaked. They never said that just happened. So it probably happened months ago back when Bruce was still Bruce cause in the Shang-Chi end credit he still had his arm injured.
Bruce still had the sling around his hurt arm, the same one he wore in the Shang Chi post credits scene. During the first episode he healed his arm, so my guess is that the car crash happened pretty fast after Shang Chi and then a few months passed. So someone likely sent the press the footage of him escaping to prevent his parole
I love that the mid credits scene is just doing chores for family. Superheroes are people too, laundry needs to get done, the lawn needs to be trimmed! 😁
This episode definitely displays the downside of “superhero as celebrity” in a way we haven’t seen from the MCU yet. Jen’s already struggling to embrace She-Hulk as part of herself, and people viewing her exclusively as a spectacle to idolize, exploit, or dismiss, isn’t helping.
its a bit weird to me that Nikki was so eager to push Jen to hulk out, both in the courtroom and later at the bar, and then she's all excited about the new job because of the desk. she seems like she doesnt actually care about how Jen feels, but is materialistic and is just enjoying new stuff

It's so good seeing Tim Roth again after all this time. I'm really hoping Abomination actually has the villain turn towards the end and we get a rematch with Hulk somewhere down the road.
Guys GLKH law firm was already around during Agent Carter(1x2). Mary one of the girls that lived where Peggy also was living, worked there as a secretary.
Keep in mind everybody the Hulk is being suppressed by Banner the next time he emerges he'll probably be the Maestro I think the gamma radiation from The Gauntlet might have messed Bruce up worse than we think
The Wong v Abomination fight was before this show. The news just said the video leaked. Remember the end credits scene of Shang Chi had Bruce with his arm in a sling…
Nobody I’ve seen react to this episode has recognized the DODC prison as the prison the Clandestine’s were placed into. I’m not crazy about that, right? I mean, how many crazy looking MAX prisons does the DODC have?
Good reference on that "I'm a totally different person" haha Incredible series! I was re-watching Ms. Marvel and I caught some foreshadowing in the very first episode when Kamala's parents come up with the "Hulk" costumes for her and her dad (prior to getting grounded for AvengerCon). Muneeba (mom) is talking about "little Hulk, big Hulk", and Kamala says something like, "There's no little Hulk", but we now have the possibility of many Hulks either by blood contamination/transfusion, or by Hulk simply being a dad! 😮 Looks like Banner got some child support to respond to by the way he left on that ship! LOLOL
Hector: "Second actor to come back after The Incredible Hulk 2008 after William Hurt..." Hector...I'm shocked. You forgot all about Martin Starr's Mr. Harrington from the Spider-Man films. He was also in TIH 2008. ;)
Fan theory: the seven prison pen pal soulmates that Blonsky wants to share a house with are the Thunderbolts. The potential lineup I think we could see could include familiar characters such as John Walker (U.S. Agent) serving a sentence for the Flagsmashers he killed in cold blood, Baron Zemo, Whiplash (a cool character not properly utilized in Iron Man 2), Yelena Belova, Punisher, as well as some new faces potentially Kyle Richmond aka Nighthawk (not a part of the original Thunderbolts lineup but a street-level character with awesome powers), Shocker (who we could potentially be intro'd to in a future Spider-Man project, cameo, or perhaps What If Season 2). Alternate choices for characters in this lineup could be Rhino, Radioactive Man, Foolkiller, or some of the X-Men villains such as Juggernaut or Lady Deathstrike who have also been featured on the Thunderbolts roster. Valentina Allegra de Fontaine could be the proto-Amanda Waller type that assembles the team, or at least so we think. We could later learn that this project was funded by none other, than Norman Osborn and branch off into the Sinister Six or perhaps a Dark Avengers storyline in later projects.
Note that Wong hangs out with Strange at the sanctum in New York. Wong can portal coast to coast. Matt Murdoch could be Wong's Lawyer, and/or Jen may catch a portal to New York to talk to Wong and run across Matt Murdoch while on the East Coast. And/or Matt Murdoch may be representing someone down and out and hurt or displaced by Abomination's rampage through Harlem who doesn't want to see Abomination paroled and who doesn't think Haikus are going to cut it. So you could see Jen + Wong defending Abomination with Wong wanting to show Abomination was being helpful in some way but keep it on the down low, and Mat Murdoch as legal opposition or contributing to the opposition. The drama would be that everybody is a hero and when/whether there should be a path for redemption and a chance for even an abomination to become a hero. I imagine they'll fight against each other in court and with each other against some big bad out side of court.
The footage of the fight club stuff just leaked but probably happened at least weeks before and Blonsky broke back into prison with Wong. We know this because the end credit scene of Shang-Chi had Banner still in his sling and using his arm tech that kept him human, so it must have occured before She-Hulk.
3:39 Agustin, that's called the Tent Stake Maneuver. Not to be confused with the Tent Peg Maneuver, which is completely different and not appropriate for Disney+.
Emil Blonsky's Hearing will probably be set in NY since he destroyed Harlem which is where Jen will meet Daredevil. Yusef Abbas aka Helper might be the guy her mother gave Jen's number to. A young guy who discovers he has very low level elemental powers who gets arrested under the Superhuman Registration Act , "Pug" has a massive crush on her in the comics
The show is set after Shang-chi because Bruce was in human form at the end before the accident. That was footage released of the fight after the film took place.
Question! If the ending of this episode took place during Shang-Chi's Abomination and Wong fight, how is Banner in Professor Hulk form? At the end of Shang-Chi/post creds, he is Bruce with an arm sling...but we know that by now he was able to solve his gamma radiation issue and become Professor Hulk again. Some timeline mishap?
Back in Agents of SHIELD Coulson mentioned they had Blonski up in Alaska. This is of course pre HYDRA resurfacing, so he prob got moved to this prison, "The Cube".
I don’t think it’s a given that Shang-Chi takes place during this show, only that the footage from the underground fight club has surfaced. Shang-Chi could have happened weeks or even months ago.
It did happen months ago, and before Jenn became She-Hulk because Bruce is wearing his wrist device in that mid-credits scene and his arm is still in the sling.
I'm surprised that Hector of all people forgot that Bruce is still in his sling at the end of Shang-Chi. Either that's old footage of Abomination that's just now surfacing, which would be sus timing, or, he's continuing his fight club adventures after Shang-Chi ended.
When she discovers that Wong had Abomination in that ring, she would almost certainly head for the New York sanctum to meet with him. That'd be the best time for her to run into Matt Murdock.
i think trailers show Wong teleporting into her office. it makes sense for Wong to be the one to go to Jen, since he needs to provide evidence on why Abomination was there etc.
@@AT32556 Very true. Though that doesn't help get Matt into the show. Wong's appearance in her office could be a follow-up. She goes to New York and Wong has to come to her later in LA. I guess we'll find out!
I suppose she might meet MM in New York when she's there to talk to Wong, that is if he doesn't just portal into her office. I did see some creatures come through a portal, though, so they have to meet up at some point.
My guess is that the show takes place maybe a week or a few days after Shang-Chi, since that footage of Abomination at the fight club in Shanghai with Wong seems pretty fresh and only made it to the public, like .... you, know, now?
Pretty sure Shang-Chi happens before all of She-Hulk. Abomination didn't just leave the prison, the video of him fighting just surfaced. Any way around it, we'll find out when it happened next week.
The events of Shang-chi took place probably close to a year before this show, and the footage has only just now leaked. At least, that's my take. The incident between Jen and Bruce that transformed her probably happened right after the end-credits scene of Shang-Chi. Jen may well have been driving him wherever almost immediately after that interaction, or at the very least, very shortly after. It still works.
Gotta admit, after last week's episode I've been keeping an eye on Adam's twitter in case he leaves a little somethin' somethin' about the post credit scenes 😂 I kept thinking "who the hell is bringing up this Captain America debate again?" LOL sneaky sneaky Adam! And Agustin cracked me up with his "huh?" moment about there being another Hulk in the family hahaha
I dont thing that happen before shang chi...in fact we saw banner with his arm still broken there. my theory is that GLKH was just waiting for Jen to accept the case...maybe to test her
Shang-Chi took place before the flashback in episode 1 (as indicated by Bruce's sling and inhibitor), so at least five months ago. The leaked "fight club" footage is either months old or it's an ongoing thing they've been doing this whole time. Before Shang-Chi, I believe Blonsky's last mentioned location was a SHIELD cryo-cell in Barrow, Alaska. But given that this information came from Coulson, who has been known to bluff (and allegedly not be canonically alive at the time, depending on whom you ask), take it with a grain of salt. If true, however, it seems plausible enough that Blonsky would have ended up in the DODC's custody (and thawed out) in the aftermath of the HYDRA situation, given that what little was left of SHIELD was no longer in a position to hold him.
Possibly she’ll go to NY to talk to wong? Or wong will bring her to NY my guess, someone will try to pick a fight with her, and daredevil will jump in for a quick cameo
I'm sure this is somewhere in the comments already.... but, the entirety of She-Hulk happens after Shang-Chi, because in the after-credits we see Bruce, not Prof. Hulk, and his arm is in the sling. So, the Abomination fight club leak is way after-the-fact....
Guys pause on 5:59 you will thank me later when Jen and Nikki are searching for jobs under “related articles” it said man with metal claws in bar brawl and the next question was “why is there a giant statue in the ocean” finally mentioning eternals 😂
Always a good time watching the guy's reactions. I think the leaked Abomination fight footage is from a earlier time because it didn't say he was "on the loose", just alleged escape. I predict Shang-Chi happened then this show in subsequent order.

LOLOL
Called it! 😁
That best bathroom for pooping. Is a thing when you work in an office
Hector: "Second actor to come back after The Incredible Hulk 2008 after William Hurt..." Hector...I'm shocked. You forgot all about Martin Starr's Mr. Harrington from the Spider-Man films. He was also in TIH 2008. ;)

had more info on the right

With Mark Linn Baker as her dad, I think She-Hulk just became a Member of the Tribe. (And forgot Perfect Strangers, go see him in My Favorite Year!)
OMG I didn't realized until you said it: Jen's dad is Cousin Larry from Perfect Strangers!
The footage of the fight club stuff just leaked but probably happened at least weeks before and Blonsky broke back into prison with Wong. We know this because the end credit scene of Shang-Chi had Banner still in his sling and using his arm tech that kept him human, so it must have occured before She-Hulk.
There is a third actor from “The Incredible Husk”, Martin Starr’s character in the Spider-man films is the same character.
The fight footage was just leaked. It didn't just happen, so the timeline is not off.
A young guy who discovers he has very low level elemental powers who gets arrested under the Superhuman Registration Act
, "Pug" has a massive crush on her in the comics
Wolverine? Eternals? Shang-Chi? It's an MCU easter egg feast up in here!
There was a time in the comics when Daredevil moved to and operated out of San Francisco. I think this was during the Superior Iron Man series.
I love how the backgrounds get lower and lower class each time she's rejected in the job search.
Papa Walters and Papa Khan having an in-MCU dad off.
Hector, Adam , and Agustin please do me just ONE FAVOR PLEASE!
Just save me a piz ob dat corn fir laaayyddeeerrr!!
Surprised you didn't catch that the guy who gave them the gift basket played Adrian Chase in Arrow.
I suppose she might meet MM in New York when she's there to talk to Wong, that is if he doesn't just portal into her office. I did see some creatures come through a portal, though, so they have to meet up at some point.
5:10 Wolverine easter egg! So satisfying 😌
This is where the fun begins 🙏🏽
i got excited cause i thought Ken Jenkins was the dad when i first heard his voice😂
Gotta take care of those kiwis! 🤣
This isn't right after that scene. I think the footage leaked now that the case is moving forward. It been months since shang chi I believe
I love how the compadres on the sides turn Adam into a mexican sandwich since he’s in the middle
I fully expect next week's episode to open with a Wong/Abomination flashback to Shang-Chi, with an explanation.
Best Wolverine easter egg
altho this episode was super short i livedddddd for every second of it!
My guess is that the show takes place maybe a week or a few days after Shang-Chi, since that footage of Abomination at the fight club in Shanghai with Wong seems pretty fresh and only made it to the public, like .... you, know, now?
Can we just talk about how pug is Adrian Chase from Arrow
Pretty sure Shang-Chi happens before all of She-Hulk.
Abomination didn't just leave the prison, the video of him fighting just surfaced.
Any way around it, we'll find out when it happened next week.
I can't believe you guys didn't see that wolverine reference! I was waiting for it!
anyone else distracted by the fact that Hector's mic looks like it's Adam's shoulder
7 pen pals are Thunderbolts ,I think
Don't know why, but I'm very happy with this episodes 😆😆
Great reactions, as always!💚
Hector's mic looks like the rest of Adam's shoulder.
Loved the Wolverine Easter Egg, hopefully you guys see it :)
The frozen celestial from the Eternals was given a nod too! 😊
That explains why Wong was in the trailer. Jen is going to talk some sense into him
A DODC prison break in back to back series (Ms Marvel). So much for maximum security 😂
Always a good time watching the guy's reactions. I think the leaked Abomination fight footage is from a earlier time because it didn't say he was "on the loose", just alleged escape. I predict Shang-Chi happened then this show in subsequent order.
nah dude... everything on the internet is live. Every time we watch this reaction they are performing it live.
@@BRD0211 🤣
Show runners have confirmed She-Hulk does take place after Shang-Chi. the fight video may have leaked to the news because of how controversial Abomination case seems to be.
