I’ve been there at least 4 times since 2015. Every time we look at other options we end up going back to the RIU Palace Aruba. Theres so many positives, the few negatives can be overlooked. Probably going back first week of November.
We just came back from this resort this afternoon. I can tell you it was a huge disappointment. There were stains on the towels, they smelled musty and were not soft. We had no hot water for showers (we were not the only ones who had this issue and it wasn’t just one building). My sister-in-law had a palmetto bug (roach) in her shower. Took them 3 hours to come remove it. My nephew’s room had dirty pillows. I could go on and on. Some of the staff we interacted with were wonderful and the food was pretty good. Those are the only redeeming things about this place. Will NOT be returning.
I have heard people having similar issues at the Riu Palace.. the resort is starting to show its age even though I know they did renovate some of the rooms.. the staff does try best they can but I know they are severely understaffed… other then the hotel, I hope you had a wonderful time in Aruba
Thanks for watching! This was just a standard king room with an ocean view.. all the rooms are pretty much the same with a different view. Unless you get a suite that has a jacuzzi on the balcony.. this room we got was center building top floor..

hello Nick thanks for detailed video. We are planning to visit Aruba with two kids.. can i bring 5 month old infant to this property ? I hardly saw any small kids let alone infants so i am bit concerned. Also does Riu offer airport transfers ? I appreciate your response.
You can definitely bring your 5 month old child to the Riu Palace… you can also ask them for a crib in the room of your want… unfortunately they do not have airport transfers but the taxis are cheap and safe, they are regulated and have set prices to resorts.. just ask the taxis driver the price before you leave. Should be about $30.. let me know if you have any other questions.. We are happy to help

The Riu Palace is a family resort. The Riu Antillas next door is the Adults Only resort. But you can use both resorts if you are over 18 years old, including the bars, pools and buffets..

The casino is now at the Riu Antillas next door.. they closed it down at the Riu Palace during the covid shut down… there is a bridge path from the Palace to the Antillas, located beside the outdoor theatre ..

Most people just use credit cards to pay, however they do accept US dollars everywhere… you do not need to change to local currency (florins). We have always booked on our own. Check the website of the hotel and see if they have a promotion on, then check the airlines websites. You can usually get a better deal booking direct.. if the deal is still not good then try kayak, expedia, etc… if you are from Canada, you can also try sunwing… Let me know if you have any other questions, we are happy to help.
Aruba has some of the best resteraunts in the Caribbean why would you stay at an all inclusive and restrict yourself from experiencing aruba outside of the resort?
No one is saying you are restricting yourself from leaving the resort and trying the fantastic restaurants of Aruba. Many people prefer All inclusive resorts because they don’t want to worry about leaving the resort. Many families with young children also love all inclusive resorts because children can be picky eaters.. In conclusion many people love All inclusive resorts and others want to leave the resort everyday, we just try to give the information so everyone can make the informed choice on where to stay.. thanks for watching. Well that is not very nice to say… everyone has a different opinion on how to vacation.. Aruba gives you the option of leaving the resort to eat out and do self guided excursions, however some other islands such as Cuba and some area in Dominican Republic, don’t advise it…

How was the palapas situation? I’ve seen reviews where people say they fillup fast and you need to get up at 6am to get one. Is this true? can you request lower floors, not a big fan of heights.
The Riu Palace is a very large resort that can accommodate a lot of people, so finding a palapa on the beach can be difficult if you go later in the morning. And you can speak to the front desk at check in to request a lower floor, most people want the higher floors, so I don’t believe that will be an issue for you to get.. thanks for watching and make sure to subscribe for future videos..

We actually use multiple websites to compare prices on flights and resorts. You can also check out the resorts websites for discounts and deals.. this is one of our favourite things to do, we enjoy the hunt for a good deal. Airlines also have deals on certain days to fly there and back, so make sure to check all the airlines that fly out of the airport closest to you… I hope you can get a great deal to go, we know that there are great deals out there.. thanks for watching and supporting our channel..

Lovely video but boy when you said the pool was freezing i was like are you kidding another resort with a cold pool, i feel years ago the resorts i went to the water was just perfect, i cannot stand cold water and i love to swim. I went to the Majestic Elegance in Punta Cana and the water was ice cold in the Club pools, it really put a damper on my vacation. I adore swimming but not in cold water. But this resort looks incredible, it is a thought. Thank you for your hard work.

They do not have a DJ by the pool. They do activities by the pool including aerobics, trivia games and they play music at those times..
