Love this! Keep up the great work! I walk 5-10 miles every day around my neighborhood & local community just to stay healthy, I always stop to pick up trash. I have never told anyone that I do this. Sometimes I wonder if my neighbors think I'm crazy when they see me picking up garbage from the street. But I really don't care. It's my little way of doing something for my community and for the environment while I'm also doing something for myself. So I will keep doing it. It made me so happy to watch this and know that other people do this too. Thank you!
Went to college with these two and studied Outdoor Recreation. Super stoked to see them rocking it in the outdoors world and excited for their next steps!
This is incredible!! What determination and dedication!! These two should be nominated for some type of humanitarian award!! I am blown away!! Thanks so much Seth and Abby!!
Okay WOW! I am speechless. This 21-minute film has touched my heart. I laughed with them, I cried, I rejoiced, but most of all, I will adjust the way I ride. Now, every time I ride (and I'm a fast road-bike type of guy) I will take bags with me so that I can leave the environment better than it was when I got there. Thank YOU Seth and Abby for your dedication to Leaving it Better!! Rock On!!
Abbey, what are you talking about? If you quit after one day your contribution would have been fantastic. You are so awesome and an inspiration to us mere mortals. Thanks beautiful. Keep it going gurl.
Great job guys. I recently spent a Saturday with some folks from the Bronx and my local REI for Internacional Coastal Clean up Day in Soundview Park. I sure feels great to do something for Mother Nature. Thank you for your awesome contribution!
Can you imagine how much more beautiful the world would be if everyone did this. Even if just picking up a candy wrapper or popcan. Our world has become a garbage can. No respect. Love what these people are doing. Maybe it will catch on.❤
We met Seth on the trail between our Pitt to DC biking, he told us that he is biking from GA (I & Nathan are also from GA) and going to Seattle. A little chat with him inspired us to do more.. glad we helped his flat tire on the trail.. This short film inspires me more.. kudos to "Packing it Out"..
I appreciate what you guys are doing I think it's very important to take pride in your surrounding have mental richness instead of material richness. Spirituality👑🌞🌻
Well done! Amazing that your trip was captured on film ... a glimpse into the day-to-day effort it took to complete such a daunting task. All involved should be proud! Love it.
This is amazing. On a lama trekking trip we found a dirty campsite. Our guide called it in. I was upset to see so much trash in a nice forest in Colorado.
Great work. I have no understanding of those who litter. Great idea. Organised a world championship rogaine in the Warrumbungles National Park NSW Australia. One of the great pleasures of that event was four park rangers who competed and admitted they were fearful of seven hundred competitors plus others littering the park including camp grounds. They reported in the weeks after the event that the park was cleaner for our visit. Pack it in, pack it out. Take only pictures, leave only foot prints.
You two are awesome. My meditation buddy and I have been packing out trash for many years and it always leaves me feeling so fulfilled. Way to go. I'd love to pick your brains on packing out trash while hiking
It will take somebody a lot more poetic and articulate than me to describe or assign the appropriate superlatives than honour these lovely young people.
Saw you with Justin Rhodes. You have changed your approaches a bit but for a real value for the hole of the US community to grasp and change their lives in a very positive way for entire families.
Great adventure! Attended Burningman last 5 years, biggest Leave No Trace event in the world, with 70,000 other folks. They use a terrific acronym for garbage---MOOP. Matter out of place. Moop sweeps are part of daily life there. Was hiking the canyons at Starved Rock last month and gathered enough trash to earn a "reward pack" from the innkeeper! Always have plastic bag for trash when on any hike now.
You people are doing something really really great..!! Let this make an awareness to many and make our planet clean and green.. Love and support from #India
When I rode across the USA, people gave me cash, icecream, water, paid for my meals in diners, brought me food and burning wood at camp, shared their paid campsite, free camping spot, invited me to their house for a night, car ride when I was struggling uphill, At first, I wasn't used to people being nice just for the sake of being nice. In my head, I was like "Why are you being nice to me? I was even ready to run away or straight up turning them away. Then I thought about why I'm cycle-traveling to get out of my bubble. I wanted to experience everything that gets thrown at me. This is what I got. Genuinely nice people. I decided to open my heart and go with it. I realized that my accepting their kindness made them happy. That I don't have to feel like I owe them something. They do get something in return. And I just make sure that I pay it forward whenever an opportunity arises.
I fish a lot in rivers on Vancouver Island and have taken to packing out any garbage I come across. A few weeks ago I pulled a ~10lb piece of linoleum out of the Cowichan River bank and walked the 2 miles back to the truck with it, and it felt good. If everyone did that, it would help immensely. I've taken to teaching my kids to pack stuff out too.
This was fantastic! Thank you for what you did. I'm more of a hiker now so you have inspired me to do this on the trail. One concern: at times in traffic you were not wearing helmets.
Loved it! From the beginning to the end, thanks for the example and hope you get many more burgers and six packs! Loved the music algo, thanks for new repertoire. Greetings from México!
I am TOTALLY committed to this. The absolute worst that I have seen is Castle Rock Trail in Big Bear, CA. The top is POLLUTED with plastic bottles littered down in the rocks. You could easily fill 3 20-gal trashcans. Someone help.
Thanks to Seth's influence my wife and I always take bags along and pick up all of the trash we find when we go out into nature.
Two people picked up over 2,000 lbs of trash, so incredible and inspiring!
Thank you guys!!
They're incredible!! Thanks for watching 😊

it melted my heart to see how a lady they met on the trip at 14:04 supported these two amazing people in her own, thoughtful way. just amazing.
Worked with Seth in college and what an inspirational human. Can't wait to see what he does next!

I think I’ll be bringing an extra garbage bag when I’m out from now on. Very inspired by this.

Watching them jump off the bridge in Montana just made me happy.

Kishin Vulcan someone who envies them.
3 downvotes from drive up campers that leave their shit on the ground.
Kishin Vulcan once it's cleaned up what's to say it's not going to be back on the earth in the woods somewhere.
16 men who had to carry the load because their (strong and independent) women were on a mission.
19 people that work for AFAUA (Americans for an Uglier America).
