Easy to use and designed for the MRI environment, TechGate Auto is deployed whenever the technologist enters or leaves the MR room or via push-button remote control, providing an immediate physical restriction of access to all unauthorized individuals.
The use of a “caution” barrier at the entrance to the MR room is now a recommendation of the American College of Radiology MR Safety Committee.

Great episode guys. Picking up on the 3D sequences, in our facility I programmed a 3D sagittal SPAIR for all the FatSat sequences orientations in the knee protocol. It has a resolution of 0.6mm isotropic acquisition voxel size (around 0.3mm of recon voxel) and allows us to do real good MPRs from 1mm up in any kind of orientation, including ACL specific ones. Compressed sense also helps a lot in getting this kinds of sequences down to around 4:30m of acquisition time (1.5T).
By the way, another tip we use for MRCP is to give pineapple juice (manganese is a great negative t2 contrast) mixed with 1mL of gadolinium to help supress the signal of the duodenum around 5 mnutes prior to the acquisition.
Keep up the good work and Reggie's awsome puns.

Great episode guys. I am definitely going to try some of these tricks especially for claustrophobic patients. One trick I learned from a nurse is to put ice in a bag or glove, tie it up and have the patient hold it in their hands. The cold can help distract them and reduce anxiety.

Cant believe i've missed this podcast, great stuff. But when we talk stuff like rectangular Field-of-View, for 2D TSE its objectively and demonstratebly worse to use rectangular FOV's in conjuction with interpolation(reconstruction voxels) for resolution/sharpness of the image. Just a warning.
