Another great video of course, I think there should be a weekly video like this covering the basics. It's a great refresher for older techs, and for new techs who are having a hard time getting their head around parameter balancing.
I have been doing apps for about 5 months and automatically doing it for 20 years is very different than trying to teach it!! They want answers as to 'why' and these videos have given me a better way to explain it.
I have been working on Philips Gyroscan ACS NT for 20 years. Just got new job and will be working on 2 different Siemens units. I really appreciate having your channel available. I will be watching on a regular basis. Thank you.
Yes it is informative and hope you'll upload more videos. My senior tech used to say that it doesn't matter what technique you are using as long as you'll come up with a diagnostic image. And this video proves it true 👍🏻
Hey Bac, Thanks for your practical clip. I totally agree with you how some radiologist always try to request highest base resolution without really looking at the actual quality of images. I also use the interpolation option sometimes, but if you can make a video explaining what it does, that would be appreciated. Thank you.
Lovely Video!. I can see you video editing is getting better too. I always tend or at least try as much as possible to have a square aqs, gives sharper images but as you said its opinions and there is no right and wrong. Take care. Would like to see Lowerlimbs run off next!
Thank you. It’s great to see if you can adapt whatever I present here on my channel. In the end of the day Mri is mri. Being able to look across all vendors will strengthen your knowledge as well. Also easier to adapt newer things in the future.
I noticed that when you mage changes by doing "copy image position" Time 2:48 seconds the phase direction has changed automatically from H > F to A > P. then you changed back to H > F. my queston is why the machine made this change?. Thank you so much . also if you can do video about the use of phase and frequency direction that's would be nice.thank you
Correct. Because the image you copy to have this phase encoding direction. So it just follow that direction. It’s bad but it’s like that for the software. So be careful to take a final look before applying.
Good vid...my 2¢ is that interpolation is better with a square voxel and it’s good when you’re patient can hold still but otherwise it can also exaggerate motion.
Wow that is a great tutorial for resolution and voxels. The Siemens videos on Pep connect are very long, boring and do not go into as much detail to explain the 'why' in a way that most people can understand.
Thank you so much for the video Bac. Do you use 100% phase res for most scans now since it gives the best quality? It's interesting how the original sequences from Siemens often set at 70-80% right? How about slice res for 3D scans? Do you normally change it much?
Yes this apply to every sequences. Resolution is fundamental when it comes to optimising a sequence. So this is very basic and don’t worry If you don’t understand MRI basic the first time you read. Just keep going and eventually you will understand a bit by bit which makes the fully puzzle complete one day. MRI is ongoing learning. Never stop learning. Just ask anyone who worked many years with MRI. Always something new to learn. I wish you all the best and keep going. Don’t give up. ☺️
@@Nguyen_MRI Thank you so much for replying. I must admit, the physics seems a little hard to understand. But I hope watching your videos will help me. I am now subscribed to you channel. 😊
Thank you so much for your vedio. It helps me a lot. I am currently studying to become a MRI tech. Do you know any book has practice test that I can use for exam?
@@Nguyen_MRI Love watching your videos. Hope you can upload more about basic MRI physics such as trade-off, MRI safety and common artifacts. That would be really helpful for someone who is starting to learn MRI. All the best! Regards,
Thanks for sharing awesome content.
Your video fabulous, keep it
awesome
Amazing clear video!
Glad it was helpful!
Great job
Bravo sempre interessante
Thx for the informative video

Valuable 👍
Hope to see more of this basic content of yours!
You are a valuable resource when it comes to MR. Your content is incredible. Thank you again!
Thanks for kindly words.
Very informative,,, keep going 👏👏
This is a great refresher and helps me understand Siemens better, as used I am using Philips where we change the voxel sizes rather than matrix
Thanks a lot, for this video. This is really very informative, waiting for more videos like this one.

Your channel is a gem! Binge watching all of your videos right now learning so much about MRI. Im currently working at an 1.5T Aera.
Thanks for kindly words. More to come soon. ☺️
@@Nguyen_MRI Could you do a short elaboration on dedicated b0 shimming? When to use it and how? Id love to learn more about it. Thanks!
Thank you Bac! I will try on 1.5 Siemens MRI 💞😇
Thanks a lot Bac! Very good info confirming that some Basics still rule in our days 👍👍 Really good video edition also 💪💪
Thanks for kindly words. 🥰

Yes 2D tse i always stay at 100%. Square as possible. For 3d scans it depends on sequence and area of interest.
Thank you Bac. It helps heaps

Hye gud morning sir..
Pls how to do elbow planing.. 3Tsiemens E11
the fov is square or rectangular to measure it in cm and not in cm2
thank you
Wat was scan time difference among them ?
Approx the same across
@@Nguyen_MRI How about the SNR among them?
@@patrickcruz2334 approx the same. At least I tried to have the same
