Yeah. I used the strategy of ignoring the guy in the bathroom but half the time my teammates would just let him shoot me over and over. Same thing throughout the whole mission too.

Whoever's idea it was to make the time limit as strict as one minute should never ever be trusted with level design for the rest of time.
At one minute the mission is 90% luck. You can’t skill your way through this mission in just one minute
Perkaholic pattern recognition is a skill. Trial and error. Go back to when COD4 originally came out it was before achievements and trophies even existed. The only way to know you had actually done it was to use a dazzle and capture and upload it. There was no walkthroughs for anything. A minute isn’t too long for this at all. In fact with 90+ videos that hold your hand on how to do it, it’s easier than it’s ever been. Try it in 2007 🙃

I respect everyone who is part of the Mile High Club legitimately. Took me 4 months to beat this level, but I beat the rest of the game in 2 days.
I sat until I did this it took me around 5 hours straight lol
Took me 4 hours and easily 60 tries one night, went to sleep, got up, failed 50 more times, and with 3 seconds left and one hall until the hostage I RAN LIKE hell to it and I was a PINCH from death but then…. The door busted open and I barely scraped the hostages head with lead. I felt so relieved and I would not wish that missions on Satan himself. 1 second left and I did it.

When I did this run my flash bangs didn’t flash them, my team mates didn’t kill, the part where the hull breaches 50 enemies rush my butt hole, when I saw anyone’s feet on the stairs I instantly died, everyone carried a shot gun that clapped my cheeks with one shot, and I got more enemies with every encounter than you did in the whole run through.

I used my MP5 to shoot the two guys at the first corridor, bunny hopped by the dude in the bathroom and flashed those people before the hull. Once I reached the hull I got my mp5 and sprayed through the chairs and was aware of the dude hiding in the corner to the right. As I proceeded upstairs I sprayed the walls and then used two more flashes until I reached the area I got more flashes. I threw like 2 or three in the next room and then sprayed down the 2 dudes at the very end with my MP5 with just about 1.3 seconds to spare and then shot the hostage holder on veteran.
I hope I pass in my sleep so I don't have to try this anymore

lol i completed this in veteran after like 50 or more tries, you just need to time it and prefire them, and try to flashbang them a lil bit.
That was 100% the luckiest no skill run ive seen. Your flashbangs lasted forever and you walked by enemies thats should of waxed you but by gods grace you were invisible and your teammates killed them.

slime 15140 agreed. I just beat mw2 remastered on veteran and while it was challenging, I never got stuck on anything. I thought the speedboat section at the end and a particular brazil shootout were gonna be a problem but I was able to get through those just by making adjustments to my strategy after each death. can’t say the same for mile high club even remotely. when I finally beat it, it just felt like the stars finally aligned and I didn’t have much to do with it.

No fighting in the war room is also extremely hard on veteran mode but, playable as just clocked the game on veteran mode roughly a week ago though, gotta admit : it was extremely difficult

I hate how RNGesus this mission was, if you don't calculate every possible angle and vector when throwing a flash, it probably won't blind anyone (or all looking at it). If someone dies and their weapon doesn't land in your path to pickup, restart otherwise no time. If you walk through a doorway, and it's invisible phantom arm stops you in your tracks, tough titties. If you empty a clip into someone, maybe they'll die. If someone shoots you, maybe they'll instakill you. I've done veteran on both original and remaster, no more!
Yep, too many variables. It's why I can never guarantee I'll get past a certain part each attempt. Enemy spawns and behavior seem to change. Teammates progress differently each time, ignoring enemies randomly. Flash grenades aren't always as effective as they should be.

Lopiky You have to run a certain way like he did and then the bathroom enemy doesn't alert everyone. It took me 2 hours to get this trophy. If you're having trouble I recommend picking up the first enemy's shotgun it makes it a lot easier.

Does two flash bang cause enemies to be stunned longer? I really think my flash bangs were bought from ebay toy section, enemy basically business as usually after 3 seconds, and I always get one shot killed by the shotgun while I am recovering.
This has to be one of the hardest trophies I've ever went for. The relief I felt after earning it was unreal

it depends. its different and it depends on luck also. It matters how and when u throw ur flashbang. The guys he passed by, were blinded, so he killed only the ones on his way.
Fat Anthony because you don't have to kill everyone in the room. Flash bang, kill who's in your way, then run by them to the next area. They don't come after you unless they see you.

Fat Anthony nice. Yeah. It's all different. Depending on the timing of the spawns. Mine was actually just as easy as his. Probably only killed five guys in the entire second floor. Just flash banged them and ran right by them.
Good job though, it isn't easy. That was my last trophy, finally got a platinum trophy.
Literally, there are twice as much guys and your flashbangs won't even stun all of them. When the enemies are stunned from my flashbang, the enemies are on the ground and I don't see them so they get me stuck when I try walking past them.
My flash grenades are hit and miss. This guy had the best luck on this run.
Or.. You save a few hours of your life and use the recruit>veteran glitch.
-Play on RECRUIT untill you killed the enemy holding the hostage.
-When in the room to breach outside the plane, wait for the objective completed. Then save and quit.
-If correct you will go to the mission select screen. Here select Mile High Club and choose Veteran.
-When loading the mission quickly close the Modern Warfare Remastered application.
-After that start Modern Warfare Remastered. And go to Campaign > Resume Game.
-Voila, you’re now at the point at which you have to shoot the villain holding the hostage on Veteran mode.
- When the last part is completed you’ll get the Mile High Club trophy.

Wow I played it on recruit, and I ran past everyone just knifing them. This is so refreshing after hours raging on all of the campaign.
I had to skip closeing the application..
1:10 when he runs up the stairs, kills one guy and on to the next room.
Me, I run up the stairs and my flash bang does absolutely fucking nothing and there’s 5 guys in there.

pennywise247 Exactly, you have a silencer but it doesn't matter because they know you're there when you fire the first shot.
I did this last night after about 2 hours of attempts and have a couple pointers for people who are struggling.
1) When you fail the mission, DO NOT WAIT FOR THE GAME TO SPAWN YOU BACK! I found that pausing the game and selecting "Restart Mission" is not only faster, but also acts as a way to mostly normalize the AI into a pattern. Granted, the pattern might alter sometimes, so it's not guaranteed, but I was able to consistently get similar patterns by restarting the mission rather than allow the game to respawn me back.
2) It might be my personal preference, but I always kill the bathroom guy on the left when you start the mission. I find it helps me with my pacing for the level and my timing with the first flashbang since it puts me at the perfect spot after I kill the hallway guy right after bathroom guy. Again, you can skip him if you'd like, but I found that your AI Partners don't always kill him and he'll sometimes kill you from the back as you prepare the first flashbang. Again, it's probably preference, so do as you see fit.
3) Follow the video guide with the flashbang throw and remember to kill anyone in your way, but your main goal is to KILL THE CORNER GUY (0:42 for visual reference). THAT WILL 100% kill you if you can't make it before he wakes up from the flashbang and I found that he only get's stunned 50% of the time. This means that you need to be ready to just hip fire at him while you continue to press forward, because if you are caught in the middle of those guys when they recover from that first flashbang, it's pretty much a restart.
4) After you make it past corner guy, ALWAYS LOOK BEHIND YOU when you are hiding behind the couch waiting for the hole to open up! Most of the time (like 80% I would say), their are1-2 enemies that just turn around and kill you because your AI Partners just won't kill them. If the area isn't clear, just kill them and then reload. If you are caught without any ammo after dealing with corner guy and anyone blocking your path, switch to your pistol and just check your back. Kill anyone that's still there and then reload while you wait for the hole to open up.
5) By the doing the restart method, only 2 major rooms are randomized. Those are the Hole area and the final hallway before reaching the hostage. The Hole room always seems to have between 3-4 guys, so after you throw your flashbang, BE SURE TO KILL THEM ALL. You can also shoot through the chairs, so use that to your advantage. If you only manage to kill 2-3 of them, MAKE SURE TO LOOK UP AT THE STAIR! Most of the time, enemies will come down the stairs when you are walking towards them. Just walk forward while you ADS (Aim Down Sight) at the stairs and if you see an enemy, kill him before he kills you.
6) This is the only major thing I change from the video guide. Once you get up the stairs, take the left path and use 2 FLASHBANGS instead of just one. Aim for the back room in front of you and aim for the right wall right next to the door. You do this so that way you blind both the guys in the room and the guys waiting for you on the right side. The video guide is right in saying that the faster you do this section, the less enemies will spawn, but it's not always guaranteed that your AI Partners will kill the guy on the right of you, as MANY of my runs ended in the room due to being killed by the guy on the right. After throwing the flash bangs, walk forward and hipfire anyone in front of you (walking right past them usually means they will kill you from behind while you prep for the final hallway) and once you enter the backroom, look to the right for the 1-2 enemies still recovering for the flashbangs. If you have the ammo, you can just hipfire them, but if you need to, don't be afraid to use your pistol!
7) Once you reach the backroom before the hallway grab the flashbangs and reload your primary gun (MP5). Once that is done, through a flash bang aiming for the hallway. It is after this first bang is the final area of randomness. You will either get one of two patterns. You will either get it so that everyone is in the hallway or the enemies will be waiting for you right in front of the hallway. If you get everyone in the hallway, you can just run right through and kill anyone right in front you, keeping in mind to keep ammo or a pistol ready to deal with the 1-2 enemies waiting for you right before the hostage room. If you get the other pattern, meaning that enemies are waiting for you before the hallway, then you will need to throw the second flashbang. The easiest way to tell is to judge it while throwing the first flashbang, since you need to back off and wait for the first flashbang to go off. If you see people waiting for you before the final hallway, just bank the flashbang off the wall while you wait for the first, that way you don't risk being flashed yourself and you guarantee that you will hit the guys right before the room.
8) After this, you will reach the hostage. The video is 100% accurate about the method to nail that final headshot. The first time I made it there, I followed the instructions of just watching the time till it reached 1.0 second and nailed the headshot. Of course, getting there in time is the issue. My successful run was about at about 6 seconds, so there is some wiggle room when it comes to the execution of this modified method.
9) I know the video stated this too, but this really just comes down to practicing and taking each area step by step. All 4 of the major rooms are pretty difficult and it will take about an hour to start getting into a groove, so just be patient and start getting into a rhythm. Once that is done, it's just a matter of execution.
10) Lastly, despite my optimization, RNG is still a huge factor in this level. There were some instances that dudes wouldn't get flashed (despite having a flashbang go off right at their feet), or having 2 dudes block your path to corner guy (seems to happen 20% of the time), or the worst, having corner guy wait for you behind the sofa instead of running to his corner (This happened 3 times in the 2 hours I attempted this, but it was infuriating because there is no way to predict it). There was also the time corner guy would have a brother with him, meaning you need to kill two dudes there instead of one and even worse, shotgun guy (the on the other corner across from corner guy) would recover so fast from the flashbang, that he just kills you before you ever get to the sofa. Most of the RNG is in the beginning and the final hallway, so once you get past corner guy, the rest of the stuff is pretty predictable.
Hope this helps some of you and good luck! This was the last trophy I needed for the platinum, so I'm glad I can finally move on from this! Again, good luck and hope these tips help!
The81stChosenOne what I did was I knifed the first guy and killed the second guy with my pistol then switched to my main weapon and killed all of them in the beginning then switching back to the pistol and killed the two guys camping behind the walls then when the air plane was getting breached I reloaded both my weapons
Attempting this on the unremastered version. whenever I throw the first flashbang, it only affects 1 or 2 enemies and I get killed. the farthest I've made it was the hallway right before the hostage rescue sequence
Smitty Werbenjagermanjensen I ran into that problem sometimes as well. Some enemies just don't get stunned, even if the grenade is right by there feet. I always aim for that back wall right before corner guy and would hit most of them. Even then though, sometimes only 6 of 8 would get stunned and the dude not stunned would just kill me.

I used to love this mission...until i tried to beat it on veteran. The clock is so fast that your goal shouldnt even be to clear the rooms, its just to kill enough people that you can run through the room. Once I realized that I beat it like 20 minutes later getting INCREDIBLY lucky.
NO CAP the solders don’t even help you kill then that’s the even worse par about this mission gotta do the work by yourself
You must have the version where the enemies arent bullet sponges or stumble into your path blocking you from a flawless speedrun.
This game on veteran is randomly harder than Wolfenstein which shouldn't. This remaster has lots of issues too. I never used to get stuck on walls and objects or be blocked by AI dipshit teammates back in the original.

It took me several hours and attempts to complete Heart of the Reich but when I did I felt acomplished because I had to strategize during the last (and hardest) part of the level. I had to learn where the enemies were, be extremely careful and use my allied npcs to help me.
This took me like 2 hours and the only thing I felt was relief because this ramdom bullshit was over.
I feel almost as if I'm the only one putting in the work and the A.I. are just there for moral support. I've tried as many times as these guys in the comments and I've come to the conclusion that the team in the mission have their guns shooting out confetti bombs. I haven't witnessed even one of them kill a single enemy.
Ben Wuester totally agree. On the 360 version back in the day they actually helped you out but now you just have to do it yourself which suuuucks
They're not even there for moral support. The only time I see them take an enemy down is the one that's still shooting at me in my death screen!

This mission is a fucking parasite! It's the last trophy I need for platinum and I have no idea when I'm going to manage it. Or should I say, don't know when I'll be fucking lucky enough god damn it. I've already done this on last generation so that doesn't help my fucking sanity when doing this mission. This mission is harder than the entire campaign combined!

When I finally got to the hostage to finish this hell hole of a mission I tried to to shoot the leg of the hostile only to start over..let's just say one controller got destroyed after this attempt

I've had my share of terrible luck with COD missions but for fuck sakes. This mission is by far the worst. I don't remember struggling this much on the original MHC. Fucking Christ. I've said fuck like 700 times today. God fucking damn this mission.

Okay okay. Guys. I literally just completed it like a minute ago. Up until the stairs is golden with this guide, however, I find it easier if one of your allies go ahead of you on the stairs, so he'll draw the fire if any enemies are not flashed (which is hugely unpowered in this game like wtf? I don't understand how everyone in the room gets flashed EXCEPT THAT ONE GUY WHO KILLS YOU, AND THE FLASH ONLY LASTS FOR LIKE A SECOND). Anyways, once I got to the second part on the upper level, throwing two flash bangs worked but how it lays out is different every time, so just follow your instincts and hope for the best at that point. I think I had like 5-7 seconds to spare. I don't know, I'm just rambling right now. I'm just super excited. I'm sweating, I'm exhausted. I'm everything right now.

Just finished this in about 30 minutes of trying using this guide.
Some tips I came across that made it easier for me was:
1. For the first flashbang, wait until you see the two enemies come out before you throw it so you can flash everyone
2. The last 2 flashes he throws, I would throw your 3rd one as well just to be safe and your teammates will take out the enemies in the first room

Guys there's a glitch to get the trophy. Go on Recruit and get to the hostage point.. shoot the hostage and then Save and Quit straight away. Then click Veteran difficultly and quit the Application quickly. Once you click Resume, you will be at the hostage point on Veteran! Trust me, it works! This is for all the players who have spent hours on this shit

Tristan Barker Yea dude like before I got Cod WAW Platinum I also went to youtube and searched it up and the guy said stuff like "Ok in the 2nd Japanese contact you should be at 16 Zeros; When youre defending the first ship you should be at 36 Zeros" like there was a calculated/pinpointed amount of planes to kill. But in this mission there is no specific pattern whatsoever

I got this achievement on the original CoD4 (it was likely the hardest achievement/trophy I've ever gotten) and I can tell from this video that this version is substantially easier. In the original, the entire thing had to be choreographed and executed perfectly. A mis-timed reload would almost guarantee a fail. In this video, he makes a ton of mistakes, and still makes it to the end with seconds to spare. To be honest, I don't know if I'm disappointed or just relieved...

This mission will always have a special place in my heart! It was the last achievement I needed to get my very first ever 100% game achievement for Xbox 360! Omg it was such an awesome feeling to finally beat it but I hated that sometimes the guy in the bathroom in the beginning wouldn't always be there so it messed up my rhyme alot! None the lest one of the greatest achievements ever!
This fucking mission took me 37 minutes of shouting fuck as loud as I could every time I died, but on the bright side I have every achievement :)

Why at the second floor there was like two ennemies and all your allies with you but for me there's like 20 enemies that can one kill me....and my allies were trash; they can't even kill the first enemy in the bathroon.

I remember doing this. Took me about 11 hours in one sitting. The most frustrating mission I’ve ever done on any COD veteran campaign
I think one shot, one kill is the worst, also heat, this one is a nightmare too though, no arguments about it.
I got it! After countless attempts, this video served me well although how i see it, it's almost a luck trophy, that require a bit of skills, even the best COD players will struggle with this one.

Out of all the methods I’ve tried. Yours has worked out the least.
Far and away the hardest trophy I've ever gotten. Don't give up guys, it took me probably 500 tries. The differing amount of enemies you guys are getting and the number of guys who get flashed is super inconsistent from try to try. You can be the best COD player on the planet and you still need a bit of luck to complete this.
Just keep trying and things will go your way soon enough. One thing I implimented was picking up a P90 and shooting the on the right side of the stairs before throwing the flash on the left towards the end of the mission. Hopefully this helps!

I liked the video because I liked the fact that you slowed it down to walk people through it, however, not matter what system were on, it seems like everyone including myself has 100× more enemies than you do.
So the entire walkthrough is completely pointless. The mission is purely based on luck. Shouldn't be in the game.
this remaster reminded me of how uneven the original MW campaign is, especially on vet. the endless respawns and useless teammates combine with deeply questionable mission design like One Shot, One Kill and Mile High Club for example.
