- CATCH UP ON SOME OF THE CLASSIC RC CRASHES THAT (FATHER & SON TEAM) PETE & DEANO HAVE CAPTURED AT MANY OF THE UK`S TOP RC EVENTS OVER THE LAST 8 YRS !
NOT AWLAYS NICE TO SEE BUT ITS A BIG PART OF THIS DAMN HOBBY THAT TOUCHES EVERYONE FROM BEGINNER TO PROFFESIONAL FLYER AND I SEE FROM THE MANY COMMENTS OF PEOPLE BERATING THESE PILOTS FOR THEIR MISSHAPS - WELL IM PRETTY DAMN SURE NONE OF YOU HAVE A PERFECT FLYING RECORD EITHER SO GIVE IT A REST !

Very nice series! We all love seeing someone else's plane crash knowing no one was injured 😎
I can feel for these guys because I know that every time one of those models goes in....hundreds....possibly thousands of building hours go with them...and some times you can repair them, but mostly it "Bin it" and start from scratch! Thanks for he vid mate!
thanks doon
RC Modelers are great people, with loads of patience, and cash, obviously. Well done video, cheers
thanks crusty
Glad these guys are flying models
Love watching these toy planes crash.
My respects, gentlemen. Certainly not model railroading, locomotives don't crash in a thousand pieces.
6:06 Revenge of the epic mid air! Well done!
7:40 best rc-plane move i have ever seen
thanks J
Very expensive move
I'm pretty sure that wasn't in the "script" ;D
Whats this maneuver called?
Well done Peter another great video we all suffer this side of the hobby from time to time hopefully the percentage of aircraft are now repaired and flying again !👍👍🙂
thanks jasee, some were not as bad as they looked
How do rc airplane guys around the world manage to miss the runway so often is something I can't comprehend, I also see guys trying to land while applying forward elevator quite often😳
I told myself that I shouldn't be watching this, but then I thought... NO! There's nothing wrong with watching it!
As others have already pointed out, it's part of the hobby; it's instructive and interesting...
So there's nothing wrong with watching it. What's WRONG is... enjoying it. ;-)
Mwuh-hu-hu-huuur!
Beautiful Renault by Majorette, thanks for showing this one!...Bill
Sacré bande de pilotes du dimanche... pas tous mais presque !
As an RC hobbyest, Ifeel the pain of every crash. Hours of work and $$.
The bi plane was the most realistic, right out of barn storming days.
In some it is almost as if someone has tuned on a transmitter with the same frequency. Had RC cars go crazy when that happened when I was into them in the late 80s and 90s. The slow mo shots look so dramatic. Thanks for showing bro
Almost every one uses 2.4ghz now, can't happen anymore :)
Oh ok thanks for that, cheers
cheers ken, yes I know what you mean m8, slow mo helps to see what went wrong
2.4 still isn’t glitch free, it’s damn good but not perfect. I’ve had my fair share of radio glitches causing me to lose an AC. But I think my problems where caused by the place I was flying at.
Enjoyed it immensely.... thank you.
I love the way the guys 'run' over to collect the crashed plane. Like they might save more lives if they hurry.
lol - thanks craig
No... but most of these models are fuel driven. You want to get over there quickly, before any potential fuel leaks occur over your hot engine, or a ruptured Li-Po explodes and turn a possibly salvageable wreck, into a fireball.
@@roadsweeper1 point taken
Wing spar failure seems to be a common crash cause. You RC guys oughta study the 1931 Fokker Trimotor crash that killed Knute Rockne. That accident led to the banning of wooden wing spars in commercial passenger transport aircraft in the USA. Can RC design take anything away from that?
Now I know. NEVER fly without a black plastic bin liner.
Some of these planes are massive-come a long way from the Cox 'fly it round your head 'model
At 6:05 the plane made that helicopter instantly disappear. xD
You win again,Gravity! 🛩 ☠️
6:04 ill be honest i wasnt expecting that one o.0
Who else spends hours watching these
Dont worry George it's not the taking off you gotta worry about it's the landing
6:04 "Fun time is over tiny helicopter!"
Do you know where the original for this incident is?
Another entertaining video from across the pond. Great shooting Pete. 😎 as for the slow motion, I really enjoy it. Did I see Deano crash a jet ? Hope you guys are well.
Wayne So. Ca. Usa... ✈
thanks wayne, I generally do slow mo to show people the reason for the crash etc etc
4:48 It looked like the P-47 shot the other planes out of the sky! Spectacular!
That damn vampire is tough!!!
Oh, the humanity....
its not the Hindenburg dino
Cela calme vite fait de faire des acrobaties avec mes avions ce week-end....
The Me 163 flew 100% historically accurate 👌
EJECT! EJECT!
Feliz año 2020 desde Chile y excelente video 👍🤘🇨🇱
6:37 Man that vampire ? is hard to kill.
So many of these I wanted to add my own soundtrack... "WARNING, WARNING... PULL UP... PULL UP..."
5:41 - He landed in a similar way to the "Gimli Glider" ( Air Canada Flight 143 )
6:05 (Joker voice) "I'm going to make this helicopter disappear!"
My question is why are they landing the Warhawk and the DC3 like that? WTH it wasn't dead stick so why are they slamming them down onto the ground?
The Best.
Most of the guys that build beautiful scale aircraft are usually terrible pilots. Most, not all.
Failure to maintain proper airspeed (stalling) in the final few seconds before landing, destroys many large expensive model airplanes.
Ouch...ouch...ouch....you did a great job ... editing etc ... Thank you P & D ... your production is significant.
Ironically, the awesome thumbnail wasn’t click bait but it was the only model to escape unscathed.
I'm glad there aren't lots of scathingly critical Comments from the experienced pilots of full-sized aircraft, berating the 'mere' modellers for failing to observe this, that, or the other fundamental technicality re approach speeds, tip-stalling, situational awareness observation, and all the rest of it.
With all due respect to their knowledge and undoubted skill with full-size aircraft, it's worth pointing out that flying a line-of-sight RC model is infinitely more tricky than flying its full-sized counterpart. You get NO feedback from the controls. You can't feel the stall approaching; you can't hear airflow; you don't get any buffeting or lateral slip sensations; the transmitter controls are fully proportional but highly sensitive to the most minuscule of inputs; model engines don't always respond as expected; you have NO airspeed indication; you can SEE ground-effect, but you can't feel it as you flare...
And so on, and so forth. It's still darned good fun, though - even if things don't always go as planned.
Right on Ell P! We have a couple of commercial Pilots in our Model Aircraft flying club and they say that flying a model is infinitely harder than flying a real plane....and for exactly the same reasons as you have mentioned.
06:06 - plane: out of my way choppy
Houston control, were going down.
7:40 I was like no no no no no no no no no no no no no no........... ooooo yeahhhhhhh
Were any of the plane's black boxes recovered?
what a great way to waste money and time building these just to crash them, thanks for the laughs
What was that heli doing on the runway, and why did noone inform the planes pilot about it?
Fortunately no lives were lost during the making of this documentary...
I love crashes. Especially someone else's.
same here, very entertaining & some shouldn't be in charge of a lawn tractor!..lolol
Nice one Pete, great entertainment. 🐵
thanks chimp
@ 6:06 Smack! I can laugh because I have spent a fortune to now dead planes and choppers..
also known as the Bin Baggers because most of them seem to take them home in Bin Bags
sucks. i hate to see that much work go down the drain. good bid. thanks
cheers bob
has a WW1 biplane ever landed without flipping?
What sort of question is that? Of course not :P There are plenty of period photos of full-scale ones that have done the same thing.
That was how you exited the vehicle.
Nice crashes. Hard, but Its a Part of this Hobby
thanks rc
Great video.☺️
Nice job
thanks rumple
7:39 Why this is my personal favorite turbine model!
Been there, done that! So frustrating when it happens to you which is why I'd rather have RC toys with four wheels that don't fly. Anything that flies is a guaranteed $100.00 bucks or more if it crashes. Each time I crashed my Thunder Tiger Raptor 50 helicopter I questioned wtf I was doing lol. If your not completely dedicated to this type of stuff, you might as well not even get started in the hobby. It's very expensive, like owning a boat. You know what BOAT stands for? Break out another thousand! This hobby is the same!
Don't worry, after a while you can compile whole airplanes from old debri, so it becomes cheaper haha.
thanks JB
During slow motion scenes, you can hear cows talking.
Oooooppsss and Aauuuccchhhhh!!!!!
lol - thanks barlas
That moment when the clickbait was actually happening :). Awesome stunt.
Hey these guys fly like I do........
7:38 What a recovery!
thanks frank
Makes me sad. I've crashed my fair share of RC aircraft in my day. Thanks for posting!
I like the slow Mo. Thanks for the great videos you make.
thanks robby
It's raining balsa
@6:20 The minute you realize planes hate helicopters.
1:05 had me cracking up
Well its a part of the game...i know how it feels...after a chrash everything is so quiet!!
No slomo please, the Videos are great
thanks leon
I did not understand the comment and the context with the 3D plane hitting the helicopter on the runway. Who was at fault? On my field helicopters are not allowed to fly off an active runway! If there is a plane in the air, it is an active runway.
I was a plank only guy until I got into collective pitch helis about three years ago. Having flown both for a while now i asked myself the same question. Common sense dictates that any VTOL aircraft should defer the runway to fixed-wing aircraft.
the idea was that the plane would race along the runway very fast towards the heli - the heli was supposed to lift off at the last minute and the plane go under the heli ! BUT the head speed on the heli did not pick up quick enough for it to lift off in time - the plane pilot owned both models so lost a fair bit of money

tbobborap1 ouch....
@@tbobborap1 I see now! Yeah, I did something similar about a month ago- I was hovering my heli while a 1:5 scale short course truck ramped over me. Went awesome until we got the cameras out, then my heli got creamed by the truck!🤣 Glad it was my beater and not my hangar queen!
They ran out of airspeed, altitude, and ideas......all at the same time.
that's sucks , so many hours invested , and those RC got smashed I a fraction of second
4:35 that bloke is less than impressed.
4:00 - The Walk of Shame.
lol
It's really hard to land standing parallel to the aircraft. It would be easier on the brain to get the controls right if the plane came overhead and the pilot could visualize L and R from a true perspective rather than parallel. But that seems extremely dangerous watching all of these wrecks.
Expensive to build expensive to repair
The crashes are just like.....bink lol. In the back of my mind I guess I was expecting something a little more.
bink ???????
I didn’t see any crashes with the biplanes, that’s just how they land.
7:35 Looking for the blackbox recorder.....followed up by a brilliant bit of flying 7:39
2019? Ive seen almost all o that on your channel before :(
well now you've seen the bits youd never seen before jan
What do these guys with one wheel atempt to land. Why not wheels up?. They never turn out good.
Big like 7:40 👌🏻
My dad was a test pilot for DC3s. I think he would have failed the last one.
Ab 3:40 Der Bauer bedankt sich. Und ansonsten zu dem Video, kann ich nur sagen, die Qualitäten eines Piloten sieht man spätestens an der Landung.
You crash very well. Lmao ..
Part of flying is landing. Lol
Joe USA...
are commercial airlines any less likely to crash ?? NO
Disposable income must be nice.
austin1839 stick with the disposable diapers
Yeah, you should try some
Just part of the hobby unfortunately, I've had my share, often due to inadequate allowance for talent.
Anyoldion it really is. Gotta learn to laugh it off and enjoy your carnage.
This is why I could never get into that hobby.
One mistake and hours of labour and money gone in one second.
RC ships now I could get behind that.
It isn't that tough, you start off with cheap stuff.....If I can do it, anyone can. Most of the guys you seen just had more money that brains.
When I was 14 a friend talked me into buying and building a rather large control line kit. Probably 3 months of all my spare time went into this thing. I had never flown one before not even those cheap .049 ones at the toy store. Took it out to a grass field fired the big powerful motor my friend held then launched it... got about 1/3 revolution then went straight up at incredible speed and straight down, exploding in hundreds of pieces. Even the engine was destroyed. I never built a model kit of any kind again although I did have s number of RC cars all short lived. Like an electric one I bought in the navy when I was 18... it was $200 in 1980 a lot of money then the box said it did 35mph and that wasnt scale speed. Fun for the week it lasted.
