    There is actually an easier way to do this: First mark an area in your input video (blue), say of 2 seconds. Then mark a larger area in your recorder (red), say 4 seconds. Then hit Alt-V. That will past the input selection into the recorder selection, stretching it as required, creating slomo. You can of course do the same trick to speed things up: i.e. fit 4 seconds into 2 seconds.

      I don't understand what you are saying here. I don't know what 'your recorder' means. Is this method still valid in 12.6?

      As I mentioned, the "recorder" is the red bordered window. Also, make sure you follow the LightWorks tutorials to get started. And yes, this still works in current versions.

    Another tip for your exports: in your recorder (red), mark the beginning of your clip, then mark the end. Now select the settings of the edit (the little gears icon) and do "Export" and then check "Use marked section".
    That will just export the marked section with no need to trim the empty trailing part of your edit.

    I've seen this done twice now and mine doesn't work like that. How do I get away from this black space expansion to provide the time? My playback just burns through the clip regardless of the reduced percentage.

    An even simpler way is to hit the 'two arrows pointing in' button at the beginning of the portion you want to slow down (or speed up), just like in this video, BUT then immediately go to advanced and change the speed (that is, without moving the time marker at all), then once set to the desired speed, hit play, let the video play at the speed you just set until the end of the portion you wanted to change, hit stop, hit the 'two arrows point in' button again, and then immediately readjust the speed. It's completely seamless and faster. This video shows what I'm talking about ruclips.net/video/yMjBOZP1vPk/видео.html.

    • @y2m3e.45
      @y2m3e.45 3 года назад

      This is four years later lol but you need to initially film at a higher fps to get a smooth slow mo. Change the settings to 60 above fps and then have to play it at 24 fps or so
