I don't understand the rather low sub-count of this channel. I'm just starting out in cinematography (for vlogging purposes) and this is absolute gold to me.
I would love to see some footage done by you with ZVE10 and anamorphic lenses (or even better with anamorphic adapter just for the comparison reasons). :) Great work!
Love this series - I'm just looking at buying one to work in conjunction with an action cam for vlogging my job. I need the action cam for it's rugged, waterproofing, dustproof casing, very wide angle lens and small form factor so people don't trip up over it!! Very, very new to film making and looking to find my own style that people relate to, very nervous about being in front of camera!! Got loads of great info from your last few eps. Feeling more confident that it's a good choice camera to begin with! Now how do I make Decorating cinematic?! ;) Look forward to more eps!
Love the ideas!! Slow motion and cool lighting make everything look cinematic ;) anything specific I could make a video about that you think could really help you out?
Thank you for replying! I'd love that - I have a few ideas. Gentle viewing, walk around the neighbourhood, looking at local businesses/lunch spots, nature/clients garden - talkie bits, problem solving, product chat, paiint mixing, bringing in the client at the end and maybe incorporate a portrait in their new environment for Insta (because I used to do portraits and would love to get back into it) and music which will be new for me! I've been favouriting stuff on Artlist! @@VisionaryFilmStudios I'm completely on my own doing this so I guess I'm trying to be as authentic and seemingly low-fi as visibly possible. I'm coming from the crafts rather than the trades, if you know what I mean. :)
I agree that gear matters less then the skill of the person using it. Though I also feel that in this instance he still uses more expensive gear (and help from others) than most people would have access too. I mean... shooting on a ≈ 600$ camera with 1000$ lighting is kinda eh

I talk about my recommended tripod in this video: Top 3 ZVe10 Accessories to get CINEMATIC Footage ruclips.net/video/jKaJTQrTCQU/видео.html I’d go with the zhiyun crane m3 for a gimbal when it isn’t rigged out. When it is, depending on the rig, probably the DJI rs3 but honestly I’d just take it out of the rig if you’re going to put it on a gimbal. Coming from someone who doesn’t really use / like gimbals all that much
I literally use my iphone 14 pro max with a DJI OM6, to capture reels for companies in my town, the quality could be better, currently im looking for a camera, either a zve-10 or the sony a6700, as im a high school student and on a budget i think i will go with the zve-10.
That’s what I’m talking about! Why watch these kinds of videos, that the creators obviously used way more money/equipment/crew to accomplish what they say is a cheap and easy production when there is real proof that individual content creators can make just as good if not better content with an iPhone a $100 gimbal and a $20 reflector.
I love my aperture 200d. I’d get that as a key light with a softbox and 2 Godox TL30s as full and hair lights. You could also use a Godox TL120 for the key light instead of you wanted everything to be the same brand! If you’re on a budget though (that’ll cost around $500 altogether plus light stands) you could do a very similar setup with just some lights from Walmart! We teach you how do do it in the course linked in the description 😉
Once you purchase the course, it will automatically take you to a registration page where you can create you account! Just click the link in the description, and then the big green button which will take you to the checkout page where you can purchase the course. Let me know if you need any more help!!
To shoot the film I used mainly the sigma 30mm f1.4 and 56mm f1.4. I also had the 16mm f1.4 and get a couple shots with it, but none of those made the cut of the film.
@@harshalshimpi8851 Do you have the kit lens? The 16-55 f3.5-5.6. If so, I'd recommend getting the 30mm f1.4. You'll want to stick to the kit lens for vlogging but that lens will give you some really incredible photos and videos for everything besides when its pointed at your face (because it will be too zoomed in if you're holding the camera and pointing it at yourself unless you have a selfie stick or something like that). If you don't have the kit lens, or specifically want something that can kinda be a good all around lens for you that you can use for vlogging and everything else, then I'd probably do the 16mm. Both are incredible lenses though! I'm sure you'll be happy with whichever lens you decide to go with!
Hi sir, I’m a student and I have 4 years of college in front, i just want to learn about photography videography and editing, but i can just give 1 hour a day. Is it worth to buy ZVE10 mark 2 like something expensive or to buy ZVE10 with Final Cut pro and a headphone which I want. I don’t have to upload anything, I just want to learn all those colour grading and stuff. Please guide me.
It's a steal for its price, and the newer version might even more of a steal with similar performance as the a6700 at the price of $800 according to alpha rumors. Of course no IBIS and other stuff but as a B-cam? Wonderful! You can buy 2 to have 3 camera angles with 10-bit color and the new color science.
So true! Honestly if I were going to do it again for everything I do now, I'd have bought 2-3 of these cameras and some good primes rather than the Siii and miv with ff zooms.
@@VisionaryFilmStudios Yup! The final video would look way better as well, especially if you had one that's going back and forth on a slider all the time. 8K video is also great for having semi 2-3 perspective as even 3x crop looks so good on a 4K timeline, which is a true 1080p just like cropping 1.5x on a 4K video. I have the A7SIII and still believe there is no competition for this camera outside Sony. Can't wait for the new A7Siv!
@@Bo_Hazem I actually used the ZVe10 as a c cam to my other two for a bit in exactly the setup you described- using the GVM 48" powered slider to get some paralaxing to mix things up with the third angle. But then the slider got knocked over on a shoot and broke lol (still kinda works but is a little finicky). I never replaced it but maybe I should...
@@VisionaryFilmStudios If you ever gonna replace it then go with the Moza Slypod Pro. So far the smoothest on the market especially for very sensitive lenses like the Laowa probe lens. Eying for one myself as you can pack it on your bag and go to the wilds.
Oh and there is literally shots in this video while in the “set” where you can see the “$10,000” camera rig in the background! Also the “$700” Sony has about another $500-$600 rigging support system on it. (From cage to grips to monitor) It’s just getting so normal for these kinds of videos and content creators to use vaporware staging to gaslight on RUclips.
So sorry to hear that you feel this way. I had that the $10k rig there to shoot the bts, not the commercial. That’s why you’re seeing it in the background of some of the shots. And yes, I do have my zve10 kitted out. You’re looking at a $1500 rig in the footage in this video. But if you think you need the rigging to shoot a tv commercial like this, you’ve missed the point of the video entirely. And I’m really sorry to hear that. Altogether, the core equipment I used for this commercial was: Zve10 - $700 Sigma 30mm - $300 Aperture 100d (2x) - $400 C stands (2x) - $300 Tripod - $100 Total: $1800 to buy all the equipment brand new, and I charged more than that to shoot the commercial. I fully believe everything I said in the video. And I did my best to limit myself to using affordable gear to demonstrate my points- specifically that you don’t need tens of thousands of dollars to make professional films. Yes, I do have tens of thousands of dollars of equipment I normally use. There’s nothing wrong with expensive equipment. But if you think expensive equipment will make your films better, you’re mistaken. The extra expense equals workflow improvements, not an increase in image quality. I’m really sorry to hear if you took anything else away from this. I would love to hear what you feel like would be more genuine so I could try and improve for next time.
