eat it Youthman, Techno Dad and others...Muttonchop Home Theater kicked amp ass.
Commish I’m not eating that. that amp is beyond supersized!
We'll see how long the Mutton chops last before my wife cuts them in my sleep 😂
Youth man is jealous now
Dam, I was so hoping to see sparks flying at the start of the video when going at it with the grinder. LOL
Ha yea... I don't OSD would be too please 😉
Very serious looking piece of machinery. I bought the 5 channel OSD amp after your unboxing of this. Specs are identical to the Outlaw 5000. So far its a great amp and after discount it was only $381 shipped.
GrabberGT also looking to get one, where did you get it from? Thanks.
Just ordered the xa5180 as well. I should get it in a few days. Any more insight on performance?
Looks like a subwoofer amplifier all mixed in one . Just awesome.
OMG! YESSSS! Thank you! You always have the best and my favorites.
I'm Glad to see you're back, especially with everything going off in the world and moving homes thrown into the mix at possibly the worst time one could imaginable.
I never really got the sic
Cont... (previous msg ending missing)
I never really got the proportions when looking at the pictures on line and just assumed as far as size went it was the equivalent of amps from the likes of Emotiva, Parasound and other big, albeit standard size power amps with their standard rack mounted width and was around 8" in height.
How wrong I was!
Looks insane for an insane dude who sets the pace for the rest of us to be reminded on occasion to pull our socks up.
Just my opinion, it looks stunning, well made workhorse, built to last, powerful and easily worth the asking price.
I'm actually very tempted myself...
Thanks man! Yea this thing is a true beast. Glad I could be such a positive influence on my fellow HT nuts 😂
thats a monster
Congrats! Man. Now let's bridge it out for your 2 ch set up... 😆... Headroom to the moon and back.. Love It !✌️
Yikes! I thought my Monolith 11x was beefy at 93 lbs. That beast is insane! 😲
Big monster amplifier ohhh god....
Those are relays on the power input
OSD NERO HTA5200...their claims are Fantastic for people like me that play their movies at REFERENCE LEVEL. Could you REVIEW? Thanks.
Where is the sound test video?
I had to text this video around a little. This amp is such a beast!
You aren’t one to leave much in question, are you? Haha
Great video, my man!
I'm still upset I couldn't get to the toroidal transformers... thanks bud!
Did you ever do a performance review of the X11?
I did not... there was some issues getting both power supplies to work without tripping breakers. OSD asked for it back and we decided not to do a video on it since it was not working correctly for me. They have assured me it has worked in several other installs they have done... 🤷♂️ I just know I couldn't get the full potential out of it due to it only getting half the power it needed
that is a nice amp .......what a beast
"I hope it was ok that I took it off?" - silence.... "it will go back together just fine"
Heck, if they didn't answer no, then your golden! HAHA
History favors the bold man.... you go!
Lol OSD thought it was pretty good so I think I'm ok 😉
Complimenti e saluti dall'Italia.
Only some Mark Levinson models and the battery powered Dynaudio Arbiter give me this many tingles. Actually, helping lift the Dynaudio gave me permanent tingles by not lifting it with proper technique....
Oh yea, that'll get ya... I've had my problems here and there, no fun man
Hey there, I am building a dedicated Home Theater, and like the idea of this AMP. Did you ever get it up and running? Would you recommend it at this point?
That thing is ridiculous! Monster amp! However, I am curious to know if that 380watt/channel is with all 11 channels driven at full frequency bandwidth 20hz-20khz, and at what THD+N level? Also, how does it sound when hooked up to full range speakers.
I'll be going over all of that once I get it back. Had to send it back to OSD for a bit
Very nice video. This is the first time i have seen a HT amplifier that looks worthy of the cost. Now how clean is the amplification?
I'll know this next week, review video out in a few weeks probably
Brother I love your videos!!! You are a trip!! Thant’s an awesome amp!
Thanks man! I try to have some fun lol... Amp is a beast, really need 2 people to move it around properly!
Have to admit, I really like these videos. Not for the faint hearted. BTW were you able to hook it up to your system?
Thanks Mark. I should be doing that this next week.
I was thinking about getting the five channel version of this amplifier, do you think you might review that model as well?
I’m going to pair that amplifier, with my Klipsch reference premier set up.
Yea I might be getting that one in. I should be getting some more OSD products in soon, not sure which ones yet though
Great video 👍
Really liking the content you're putting up. Mutton Chops for the win!
Thanks man, gotta look sharp for the camera 😎😂
Are you powering Bose cubes with that @ 4 ohms? 🤣
Yessir. Only the best for me... 😉
Seriously, Badass 🤘
Whats up man? Great video! Had me laughing. I got a question not pertaining to this video. I'm looking at getting screen material from Carls place. I'm thinking about going with the flexigrey like you got. Since you had a little bit of time with it now are you still liking it? I'm just trying to improve my black levels from my epson 8350 projector. Don't want to get a projector just yet since there is only a couple hundred hours on bulb. I also have a manual pull down screen that has wrinkles in it from sitting for a couple of years until my room was built. So I got to figure out away to attach the screen to the existing material and hope it doesn't get jammed up inside the case.
Thanks man! The flexi gray has been awesome. Love it for my area. Little bit of light rejection with it not being white and when the lights are out, blacks are a little deeper. Don't expect miracles, but it should improve your blacks a bit. As far as the roll up screen... Idk how the flexi gray will work with that... Might be too thick by the time both materials are on there. And if there are any creases in the flexi gray, they'll probably show up just the same. It needs to be stretched pretty tight to get a smooth surface. A fixed screen is probably a better way to go if you grab it
@@LifeofBliss Ok thank you! Stay safe!
I'm 3 minutes into the video and I'm thinking, "why not use a screwdriver with an Allen tip?"...as I continue watching, I think to myself, "on carpet? Static?" But what do I know... continue watching.
Whoa!
I wonder how well it dissipates heat under moderate and full load? lol
Supposedly it runs very cool... but I could never get both circuits connected without tripping the breaker
It will work with 1 power cord only, but that kind of defeats the purpose
@@LifeofBliss Wow! I put 2 dedicated 20 amp circuits, but it was because I have too many devices connected to the 3 Furman line conditioners. This is only one Amp!
@@LifeofBliss This is a real life eye opener. Glad they offered it to you for reviewing.
Yea I have 3 20 amp circuits and a 230v30a for my sub amp in my equipment room. I did the wiring so it was cheap and easy to run several. OSD swears it has worked in many applications, but I couldn't get it to work correctly in 3 different homes... don't know what the issue was. Even did some testing with a multi meter to switch the polarity of the positive terminals between the 2 circuits.
Okay does this company have a preamp to go with this.
They do not have a pre/pro at this time
How does it sound
Find, no issues with sq
Please explain how you talked your wife into getting a $7500 amplifier!!! Lmao
Well fortunately, they sent it to me for review videos. So there was no out of pocket for me. The hard part is explaining to the wife that an 18 wheeler is dropping off another palet of audio equipment to the house 😅
I'll take 2
OH! Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwww!! That's all I need to say.
thats huge :)
I'm pretty sure you have to have your electrical wiring in your home upgraded to even be able to use that.you probably need a transformer of some kind.not to mention your electric bill. My god.
Just 2 dedicated 20 amp circuits 😉
Does it run your bill high if you go hard with it?
Definitely the biggest amplifier I ever heard of.
I haven't hooked it up in my system yet, but it definitely won't do the bills any favors! But honestly probably won't have too much of an effect unless you were rockin out 24/7
I'll be waiting for that review. You have an awesome system my friend.
How much?
I put the buy links and promo code in the description, regular price is $5000
YYyyooooooo...... I want one of these =) ..
Invest in a good weight belt 😉
Chinese subwoofer amp review please.
Working it in bud 😉
be honest how much did you pay for all of your audio sistem ?
i think you spended a lot of money :)
Around 8k for the audio
Diy saves a ton of money if you have the time and skills. Great job LoB!
If it were blue it would look like my Miller Welder. Maybe it welds u St as good while playing music/movies. Just ground it to the toilet's supply line 🍻🇺🇸😎
😂🤣
I would never want an all in one
Can I power my house from my cars cigarette lighter
Jesus and I thought my 45 lbs power amp was heavy...
(edit: it is a dual mono tho)
2018.....lol old!
What? Two years in the audio world is literally like yesterday. I run a dual mono power amp that was self build in 1996 that puts out 125 watts at 8 ohm class A. A buddy of mine runs two old rotel thx power amps in mono (250 watt rms at 8 ohm 1991).
Power amps and stereo amps dont really matter in terms of age, however hometheater pre amps/ receivers do matter (to a certain degree).
Dissatisfied and disappointed with mine.
