I was a kid in the 90s collecting Jordan’s now looking to start a collection for my son born in February.. went on eBay an was just overwhelmed by all the different parallels and what to target! If the MIAMI HEAT knock off the LAKERS this year, TYLER HERRO cards are through roof and into the stratosphere!!! What Luka cards did the last year will be a mild by comparison. I sold all my LUKA, KAWHI, LEBRON, DAVIS, BRADY, TROUT etc. I'm betting the farm on this 20 year old marvel. Look for returns of 10X-50X on his Silver Prizms and Optics!!!

Zion cards are about to tank big time since they are officially out of the playoffs. All that money is going straight into Kawhi and Lebron refractors in Raptors, Clippers and Lakers uniforms. I'm buying every Kawhi Optic and Select Tmall Gold Wave I can get my hands on!!!
Look for Markieff Morris RCs to skyrocket with a Laker's Championship. Select, Crusade, Prizm, Innovation, Marquee etc.
Buying Kawhi refarctors is like buying a guaranteed winner lottery ticket. If he wins Finals MVP this year, he'll have won 3 rings, on 3 different teams - at a younger age than when Jordan had his first!!! Higher winning percentage, and still a decade left to play!!
This hobby has morphed into something that is difficult to even recognize anymore. You did a good job of explaining everything, but to me, people willing to pay 60k for a modern card that looks nearly identical to another card that’s worth 100x less is just absurd and leaves way too much risk in these types of investments. Also, historically, the very best investments have always been things that weren’t seen as being great investments at the beginning, but gained popularity over time. If I were to get back into this hobby seriously I’d be looking at cards from the 50s and early 60s as well as tobacco cards.

A few years ago when I got back into cards, I started to collect one of my favorite players, and did not know there was 40 plus different parallels but got most of them. I even got a few of there 1 of 1's. I was overwhelmed
Great video. Very informative. I disagree with your take on the parallels you didn't cover, mentioning them as less popular or less demand for whatever reasons. My counter argument to that would population report. If I can get a "less popular" parallel with a low pop. I'm buying. I want what most don't have. Isn't that the name of the game?

Totally. Look at baseball with 2018 and 2019 boxes with the rookies attached.
youd be a fool to spend that kind of money for those new rookies, lol...id invest in jordan rookies or old rookie cards...or even kobe rookies....30k for a trea young....hahaahahahaaha...the money for these young basketball rookies is just crazy....people are going to lose big time.
I buy 1 lebron rookie a month. Raw. I will be sending them to psa twice a year. Like the bazooka rookies. There are 11 different 'variations'. Love the star rookie too
buschleaguers75 Trae is a bad investment at that price. Very good offensive player but his still will likely not lead to any championships. I’m stacking early chrome/ finest kobe and lebrons. Safer long term

Great video man, loved how you went through these. The only thing I might slightly disagree on is Select I feel now is probably more sort after or at least on par with Optic. Select are amazing cards
Definitely think select is better. Just was saying from the “market” standpoint, optic is more desired at the moment. Although since this video was made it’s about even now!

White Sparkle are very popular almost made the list. Tiger stripe not sure the amount they’re worth is worth it.
I have listened twice now. I think you are trying to tackle too much in 1 video.
As I huge Prizm fan, this episode is like nails on a chalk board. I really wish you did more research before making lots of statements. There is so much to correct. You intent is great, but you need to look at the history of prizm.
Few points. Prizm was a dead product and almost ended by panini going into 15/16 season. Distributors use to require breakers buy prizm before they could access NT, Flawless etc. Do you know what happen to change this? Ben SImmons rookie class was really weak and Simmons decided to NOT sign AUTO with Panini. This meant Prizm had little to offer the hobby without his auto. Enter the 5th Year Silvers. Panini added NON auto 5th anniversary Silver prizms along with promoting the Silver Simmons. If you look back it was this year that collectors started to look at past Prizm silver rookies and the Silver race started. To add to this Panini increased the retail prizm and retail included Silver hoping that Panini could pull retail collectors into hobby. Ben Simmons is a HUGE reason for Prizm rise in the hobby. You need to understand this is part of the history. The year later with Top 3 picks coming from 76ers, Lakers and Celtics prizm was ready to expand the prizm empire. 2017 is the first year for Prizm FOTL. This is key because FOTL was popular for offering product a SRP compared to LCS who were charging 2x the SRP. 2017 also introduced Fast Break sub product line.. 2018 Prizm Choice is the first new Prizm product to have a competing 1/1. Up until 2018, another reason collectors/investors love prizm is ONLY ONE PRODUCT line and 1/1. The Black Finite is truly 1/1 compared to many other products. 2018 introduced the Choice line that is released in Asia. Choice was designed to reduced shipping cost to Asia providing hits only. Today the Prizm model is being replicated in Optic and Select both with their first Choice products. Should also mention Mosaic is a child of Prizm. Mosaic has been around since year 2 and struggled even last year to sell.
Yes, 2012 only had 3 color, but the next year 2013 add several color and die cut parallels.
The reason Blue /199 Luka sell for more that /149 is Mavericks Color is Blue. It's more collectible.
Last point you discuss Lebron Silvers and grading. There reason for the increase is simple. No one paid anyone for vet silvers in past year. So no one graded them. It isn't until the past 2 years that Vet, more specifically Lebron Vet cards started showing any value. So everyone is grading any silvers and sell. Veterans in the hobby giggle at this. I will sell Silver vets all day long. Never going to buy them. You want to talk about over printed! How many Lebron Silver Prizm cards are there since 2012? WAY TOO MANY TO HAVE LONG VALUE.

What are your thoughts regarding the “White Sparkle” prizms introduces in 2015? Do you think those will go up for that year or any other at some point?
@@Surfnaked277 I love White Sparkle. Thank you for reminding me. Was the print run every confirmed? I remember the autos were 1/1 and rumor SSP was under /20 or /15 - Yes, Very Valuable.
I couldn’t find anywhere that stated final counts on print runs so assuming SSP’s. When people do their homework they will go after these more and I can see a run on them also. Actually surprised this wasn’t covered.

I bouth a tri color Luka PSA 10 in dec. Traded 2 months later for a 9.5 Giannis prizm rc. I like tri colored, helped me make 1k! LOL
Got a Tri color Tatum for like 50 a month back. Now its about 120 to 150 i think. Really like the look. Especially Luka
