My rule of thumb has always been, sell your PSA 10 keep your PSA 9....collect the card not the grade...strong work, and great information

Yep or even find raw near mint for your personal collection which I personally think looks better in a display cabinet anyway and sell off the graded ones. I also think BGS are better with the sub grades and for some strange reason slightly cheaper than PSA.
Its crazy to me that people will pay such a fat premium for a PSA 10 when the actual difference between a PSA 9 and a PSA 10 can't be seen without a magnifying glass. I think eventually this mindset will change and the gap will close. PSA 9 is still in very good shape. Would you rather buy a brand new car or a lightly used one for half the price? EZ decision. Save the cash. The only time I think it might be warranted is when a PSA 10 grade is extremely rare for a card. Nice vid bro.
Thats not always true. You can see a perfect card that was cut off center clearly without a magnifying glass.
Cracked open my PSA 9 Prizm Zion I purchased on eBay cleaned it off with a microfiber cloth resubmitted to PSA and came back a gem mint 10. Not saying this will happen to every card but comes to show you the difference between 9s and 10s.
A lot of Psa 9s are going for the same or even less than a raw card. You know how many times i've bought a raw card that wouldn't even get an 8, let alone a 9. 9s are very undervalued. It's mainly due to cards being too modern and over saturated, right now. They'll likely be worth more in the future. With that being said, if you pick up a 9 right now, just know you are going to be sitting on it for awhile.

Looked into some psa pop reports of Luka base vs rwb and green. Crazy stuff, can't believe base out-sell them. That is a gap for sure in the market

Good stuff bro. I think the RWB Prizm Parallels stay depressed because there are just so many different colored parallels people have no clue what’s “good” or rare because they don’t care to look at pop reports or checklists and thus they stay with what’s “safe” in the base cards. Plus any parallel pulled from retail should be lower than hobby in general but a lot of it depends on how much someone values scarcity. Love the debate keep them coming
I think it has to do with RWB being from cellos.
But thats not always what dictates it.

When Kobe Topps rookie is currently going $2k plus for a PSA 10 compared to a PSA 9 going for around $400 the choice is obvious to us poor folk 😂

No no no...not happening my man. Not enough Select to overthrow Prizm. Prizm dictates the market.
Select is like Gold bars.
Prizm is like dollar bills.
I believe select is more rare and more expensive. But not everyone can deal in gold. Everyone can deal in dollars tho. Thus, Prizm is the world reserve currency for sports cards.
Unless Panini releases a Select retail and keeps the population similar to Prizm. Maybe then select could overthrow prizm and the market be based around select
If youre the one getting them graded then NO. If youre buying then yes. 9s are undervalued right now cuz the hobby is spoiled wanting 10s
