  • Just so you know the most career defining hits for certain players aren’t always their most clutch hits. Some of them are but a lot of them are huge milestones.

I didn’t realize all career defining “hits” were homers minus Ichiro’s 3,000th hit. When I think career defining hits, I think Luis Gonzalez’s walk-off base hit in the World Series or Jeter’s walk-off base hit on the last at-bat of his career. Not saying a lot of these aren’t magical in this video, they are. But, home runs do NOT always define careers, legendary careers at that. I like the long ball, but some of the most magical hits ever are gap shots, bleeders, or clutch base hits. I don’t care what anyone says.

He had an infection in his vocal chords throughout the entirety of the 2011 World Series. If you think you can do better whilst having a vocal chord infection, take the mic and show everyone. Also, how can he be the most boring announcer ever? You dig through the video to find a call where he is not 100% and he is somewhat boring, and yet you don't acknowledge the FIRST CLIP in this video right before it, the David Ortiz grand slam where he does get excited, or his call of Rajai Davis' HR at 5:49. If you think Joe Buck's call of the Ortiz grand slam or Rajai Davis' game tying HR was boring, you must be either delusional or deaf.

Also, considering that Ichiro never started playing in the Major Leagues until he was 27, missing at least five prime years if not more. Had he come into the league sooner, there's no doubt WHATSOEVER that he would've challenged Pete Rose for most career hits!!!

Ahhh yes. When people think of Buster Posey’s career, they don’t think about his 3 World Series rings, his batting title, all the no hitters and perfect games he’s caught, his rookie of the year, or his MVP. The whole park was absolutely electric in a second. It’s one feeling watching it but it’s another being there.
