I received my pressure washer ruclips.net/user/postUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP over the weekend and decided to wait for the sun to come out before firing it up. Was needed to clean the deck. Our last pressure washer broke a couple of seasons ago, and I just hadn't replaced it yet. This one had great comments, so here we are. It was easy to assemble, and the trigger wand is comfortable and easy to hold for long periods of time. The pressure washer worked great and made quick work of the "TN North side algae" that inevitably grows every year. I also washed all of the deck furniture while I was at it... it all looks great! So far I am happy with this purchase. I plan to climb the ladder to wash siding over the next couple of days, will update if I have anything else to add after that!
Man.. just reading 90% of the comments on this video are sad… between people stating things that were very clearly explained, or why you would buy one over the the other…do people even listen to the information provided? It’s either that or people who have no following, and just want the company to send them a free unit so they can “test it” Your videos are great as always Josh, and have really helped me get me business plan going, it just amazes me what people come up with in the comments.
I bought this pressure washer about a month ago. I've used it a lot over the past month. No issues at all. I was using my Northstar gas washer with CAT pump for foam cannon work, but the Adam's does damn near as good a job with a lot less hassle. Time will tell if it holds up, but it's been putting in a lot of work so far.

Just bought the Cat 1800. uberflex hose, the twinkle star foam cannon, all the quick connects, the 1.1mm nozzle for the cannon, a gallon of mr pink, and a small gun. Never washed a car with a pressure washer because it just felt dumb i guess? Seeing how much weaker the electric units are than gas makes me feel a lot more confident i can do this consistently without ruining anything. Your videos are great, thanks for making them.
Awesome!! Did you get the adapter for the hose to the unit? amzn.to/3wsQlG1 Otherwise it will leak. Happy to hear your confidence is up using it!!! Enjoy!!!
@@imjoshv No but i did get a quick connect adaptor to go into the unit. one 15mm and one 14mm quick connect set. That will leak? i just wanted everything to be quick connects.

Crazy, the different specs. I have never bought adam's before. The pressure washer i have is the simioniz 1800 from canada with a kobrajet hose and snub gun, i really like it.
Josh, I am trying to pick up a new unit for a Labor Day sale, im on a budget, trying to start a mobile detailing business. Between the active 2.0, and this unit, the adams 2.0.. which would you recommend? There is not much of a price difference. I’m torn because I like the adams form factor, but I feel the active gets better numbers?
The point here is Max Pressure versus Rated Pressure. It can produce a maximum pressure of 2500 psi, but that will have less flow. The 1.4 GPM is “rated” at 2000 psi. The other number often shown is Max Flow, but they often don’t list the pressure that’s available at, but likely around 100-200 psi. The key is higher pressure, lower flow and vice versa. It is a stainless braided hose that is encased in nylon.
Not sure if you’ve done it before but have you tested your water pressure at the hose? Kinda curious as a lot of people have different pressures depending on their pumps at home or wherever they’re detailing. Great review though 👍🏼
Pretty packaging just makes the product cost more. I’d rather have a better product for less money than a pretty box. Thumbs up for the details on this review
outof all the pressure washers you've tested, which do you think is the best & which is your favorite under $350? i've been trying to pick one for months &just can't decide.
I bought it, it works as shown but the quick connects aren't smooth operating. It's difficult to pull the collar down then push up to secure the gun. Is this the nature of cheap China brass fittings? What do you suggest, if anything, to lubricate? Thank you.
Seems like the more money you spend the more flow you get but in this case they took the money and spent it on quality accessories with a lower performing pump. I’d just do like you said and buy the cheap pressure washer with the quality gear then upgrade the pressure washer later with something like the Active 2.0.
At least it came in a cool box - a very important criteria and the various and differing published specs - oh well. At the very least I'm sure warranty returns will be easy

Would you recommend this one? I’m looking for the best pressure washer for under $300. If you recommend this one, it’s not too much over, I could make accept-ion

What’s up man what’s your favorite and strongest Electric pressure washer with the highest gallons per minute Without breaking the bank or should I say excluding the kranzle
Can I hook this hose up to another pressure washer easily .. I want to get the active 2.0. I tried to love this unit. It just does not give me enough flow. I purchased mine for christmas. I wash the car faster with a hose...
I get what you're doing and that works for PSI but you could use a variable pressure washing dual wand with a soap nozzle or a variable side HANDLE nozzle and actually adjust to any pressure you'd like. The difference will be in the type of spray you'd get and the water flow from the nozzle or tip. In fact, using this will give you more control over where you would like to go Hi or Lo on the fly. However, with the washer you have peeling paint won't be anything you'll have to worry about no matter what tip you use. Also, remember that you don't really want to measure your GPMs with a handle. To measure GPMs you need to let the water flow into a bucket without the high pressure handle to confirm your GPMs. This will give you an accurate GPM reading. The only thing you should test with the high pressure handle and tip hooked up is the PSI rating and even that will decrease depending on hose length and pump age. So, first measure your GPM without the handle and directly into a bucket with a timer to check GPMs. Then, measure the pressure with the handle and tip for pressure knowing that tip changes will be different in PSI readings and GPMs. when you purchase a quality pressure washer the pump should have a spec label that indicates what tip to use to get the actual PSI and GPM rating they claim you will get while using your machine. I have a Honda washer that puts out 6 GPMs @ 3500 PSI and I use it all day long on my cars because I can variate how much pressure and flow comes out with the variable nozzle or wand. This machine was obviously used for commercial work too but just sayin'. www.watercannon.com/Search?SearchTerm=wand
Thats very true to get the highest numbers however, i am trying to show the usable aspects of the pressure washer compare to others. If your detailing a car, you want to know what psi and gpm you are working with so that why i do it the way i do. Thanks!
You should do a secondary channel or little series where u take some of these, not any ur currently using obviously, and tear them apart so we can see exactly how they work, you can get a real idea of components, n see how many are just rebranded for higher prices with the same motors in em, however, the accessories some times matter. Also, adams does have good customer service which is something that really does matter. N ur getting just about everything you need to open a box and and foamer on it and wash a car or whatever immediately and put it all away and know its gonna work the next time. All this little brass connector nowadays does matter as they're becoming more expensive. Im sure some of the other units giving you all junk accessories doesn't just end there, im sure the motor is worse, yeah they may put out more psi n gpm now but they may not over time? Be cool if you gave em to viewers to use for a season at their homes and log their usage and then send em back to ya n you do another test on them, or see what broke or whatever. That could be a really cool thing to.
It must be a decent hose if you Josh says no need to change to Uber flex hose, unless you want to for whatever reason lol Love how it came with quick connects and stubby gun, nice details👍🏼
Ha, yes the Uberflex is my go to! But the one this comes with is a close second so i like to let people know its good enough so they can save the money!
So I stumbled on this page while looking for a pressure washer like Adam's. What's the ideal (or recommended) orifice size to get the best out of the pressure washer? Kinda confused on what you said. So it's best to go with 2.5 then? Or 3.0 or 3.5? Thanx
So for someone looking to get this or the active for home car detailing, which would I recommend? I ordered the Adams then found your channel and it has me wondering if I should get the active unit instead ? Would 1.4 vs 2 gpm matter to the average home user using it once a week to wash 2 vehicles or a boat once in a while?
Bought this Adams 2.0 pressure washer September last year for $276 works great but the water inlet in the front of the unit leaks a little bit not so much to return it but just curious if yours does it
Based on your review I ordered the Adams 2.0 pressure washer when they had a 20% off Labor Day sale. It was interesting to see that they charged me three different sales tax fees including one for a county I don't live in. Perhaps I should have ordered it from Amazon so I would not have to pay strange taxes. Just a heads up.
@IMJOSHV just bought the adams pressure washer and the stand that screws in at the bottom of the washer doesn't screw in at all...so even when I put the screws in I can still remove the front stand. any suggestions?
Great review. I was heavily considering the Adam's pressure washer specifically because he offers a good hose and hose length and because his accessories are spot on. However, now that I see this review I know I WILL NOT buy it due to lack of water volume and his Excesaive co$t ... i asked Adam's to do a share cost and i would review it for them, they declined. I would figure Adam would be pushing the 1.8-2.0 gallons per minute for his units. Oh well, I'll be picking up the Active unit pretty soon. So all will be good once I do! Keep the reviews coming... they help a ton!!
Thanks so much! Yea the Active is great. Mine eventually had an issue with the switch but i spoke to Active and they said all the ones they are shipping now have had the issue resolved
@@imjoshv great info man.. question, if a guy wanted portability and durability would you still recommend active or a gas unit? Which gas unit?. Thanks Josh. Love the channel👍
Ok, I'm a noob help me to understand. If gpm is 1.4 vs. 1.8 what does that really mean (other than more water) in terms of washing your car? The correlation with psi? Thanks.
I was browsing RUclips for car detailing pressure washers and came across your video. I'm not a pressure washer expert, so I have a question--what is the importance of the GPM? I notice that the GPM is important to you and would like to know the reasoning behind it. Thank you. I really liked your in-depth review and I have subscribed.
2nd Crazy how on Amazon they written it wrong as 1.8 instead of 1.4 and great Adam's have a great documentation clearing it out 😉🤣 Water inlet in front and outlet on back like a Black and Decker I still have that is 10 years old
I wanted the adams pressure washer but almost 400 dollars or even 300 for the unit is treading onto craftsman and prestigious brand territory that performs much better.
So you probably hear this all the time! I'm stepping away from gas to reduce noise. What electric pressure washer are you currently using???? I binged on all your vids last night..thanks
Hello Josh I really appreciate your great reviews. I’m curious to get your thoughts on the Greenworks 3000 psi electric pressure washer. I’ll keep checking back.
great review ... I'm in Canada and looking to buy a pressure washer I was looking at the active but hasn't been available on amazon for a long time any others you recommend
I have this washer and use it everyday. It’s ok but could be much better. Adam’s dropped the ball on many details. Oh and BTW I’m on my second unit because my first one had a defective motor.
Did you ship the defective unit back to them? Did they pay for the shipping? How has the replacement unit hold up? My unit failed after four uses. Very disappointed. I gotta call them tomorrow because it is still under warranty.
The Adams looks pretty much like my Sunjoe but a lot more expensive. I was able to pick mine up several years ago for $40 at a pawn shop, without the gun. It has served me well cleaning my sidewalk, driveway and now my car.
I'm on similar page, I bought the 1700 psi electric greenworks at Lowe's for $99 bucks 3 years ago and a cheap foam cannon from auto parts store and installed a 1.0 orfice. Works awesome not an issue
An important note, the performance of the Portland was found to be lacking as per the update video: ruclips.net/video/U-YAFpn3JLM/видео.html I'm curious if this pushes the Adam's up in its evaluation.
When you connect and disconnect just the positive connection you cause emp pluses in your Electrical system you can erase your info like you showed still have miles but no mpg in trailer selection and even fry every computer blow air bags alway neg off 1st and on 2nd to avoid emp issue this is also why you don't jump battery to battery you use metal gound on the dead vehicle have seen this happen several times over the years you actually voided your warranty for disconnect the battery that way and have proof on video

The more water coming out the more movement of dirt from the surface. So more cleaning power without more pressure.
Will this run off a water tank?
just wondering what brand stubby the unit came with. Looks alot like a lower end MTM? Or a great knock-off! Loved the review. Thanks.
it wasnt labeled MTM but it was a great stubby wand!
Great review Josh
Thanks!
2nd
Crazy how on Amazon they written it wrong as 1.8 instead of 1.4 and great Adam's have a great documentation clearing it out 😉🤣
Water inlet in front and outlet on back like a Black and Decker I still have that is 10 years old
Yea i was suprised by the numbers being listed differently on different sites (and the box)
Josh I've been hoping you'd cover this one. I've I've trying to decide between this or the VE52.
Zactly my stance. It's clear now; ACTIVE ALL THE WAY!!
@@detailit Active reigning champ!
Active VE52
Agreed!
Awesome!
Another great review! Keep it up!
Thanks a ton!
I wanted the adams pressure washer but almost 400 dollars or even 300 for the unit is treading onto craftsman and prestigious brand territory that performs much better.
What Apple Watch band is that?
58psi max psi input? Did they forget the standard water pressure for a house is 60?
Good content
So you probably hear this all the time! I'm stepping away from gas to reduce noise. What electric pressure washer are you currently using???? I binged on all your vids last night..thanks
Ha thanks! I use a few. I have a Active VE52 and VE51 in the shop and I use a Ryobi 2300 in my mobile set up!
Great review, can you review the Stanley 2150?
Oh I also forgot to ask how do you tell the orifice size on pressure washer tips?
sometimes they are labeled. Some times they arent... If they are labeled it would be something like 04025 meaning 40 degree 2.5mm
Can the uberflex hose plug and play with this unit?
Yes, but you don't need it unless you need the 50' long one.
Great detailed review!!
Thanks
Hello Josh I really appreciate your great reviews. I’m curious to get your thoughts on the Greenworks 3000 psi electric pressure washer. I’ll keep checking back.
I still have to order that one
great, honest review.
Thanks
Love the reviews 👍😁
Thanks!!!
Hey Brother, what is that cylinder in your way when you open the water from water tap?
It’s a deionized water filter so I have spot free water!
@@imjoshv will you tell me that distilled water is good or deionized one?
I need your highly recommendation, if you tried the both of them nonetheless?
How would you compare this to the Dewalt pressure washer
This is nice cause it comes with way better accessories
I love your videos
Thanks so much!
Have you tested the big boi water flo electric pressure washer?
I have not… I’ll look into it
Old video new comment that’s totally a sun Joe unit I have owned several sun joes and I can tell by the construction it’s a sun Joe
Do you recommend this or the Active VE52?
I’ve actually been hearing some quality issues on longevity for the active so I’d go with this
What do you do with all the pressure washers you test?
some go to friends, so get sold, and some i giveaway to the viewers!
Like the video however it would have been a plus had you actually washed a car as part of the test
great review ... I'm in Canada and looking to buy a pressure washer I was looking at the active but hasn't been available on amazon for a long time any others you recommend
If you can find the Simoniz pressure washer it is made by Active so basically the same unit!
@@imjoshv is the craftsman any good or id the active/simoniz better
I have this washer and use it everyday. It’s ok but could be much better. Adam’s dropped the ball on many details. Oh and BTW I’m on my second unit because my first one had a defective motor.
Yea, I was hoping for a big higher gpm considering its built by a detailing company
Did you ship the defective unit back to them? Did they pay for the shipping? How has the replacement unit hold up? My unit failed after four uses. Very disappointed. I gotta call them tomorrow because it is still under warranty.
Subbed! Awesome review!
Thanks for the sub!
are you gonna review the adams pro series pressure washer?
I’ve been thinking about it. It gets close to the price of the kranzle though so I’m thinking about maybe doing a side by side
@@imjoshv even better. looking forward to the reviews. The higher end electric units are much more interesting
What is the best soap to get bird droppings off your car?

The Adams looks pretty much like my Sunjoe but a lot more expensive. I was able to pick mine up several years ago for $40 at a pawn shop, without the gun. It has served me well cleaning my sidewalk, driveway and now my car.
I'd love to see it compared to the BigBoi Washr Flo
im not sure if that one is available in the US
$69 vs $295, can’t beat Ryobi for a once a week wash
I'm on similar page, I bought the 1700 psi electric greenworks at Lowe's for $99 bucks 3 years ago and a cheap foam cannon from auto parts store and installed a 1.0 orfice. Works awesome not an issue
Ya right this unit is twice the price as others in the same category.
An important note, the performance of the Portland was found to be lacking as per the update video: ruclips.net/video/U-YAFpn3JLM/видео.html
I'm curious if this pushes the Adam's up in its evaluation.
1.8 GPM or more is what you need.
Amazon listing pulled a fast one
You should see the review coming tomorrow.. pressure washer listed at 2.8gpm
Thanks to Josh for such detailed reviews and for helping customers understand the ratings “game”
What is piese.....?
So far I'm headed at the Active 2.0
That’s a great choice!
