Hey man, I just really wanted to thank you for the tip about the steering + Ariel sensitivity because before, I was really struggling with air dribbling because it was turned all the way down, but now I'm averaging like 2 to 3 hits in the air. This has really helped and you've earned yourself a sub!
all you gotta do is play ranked... I've been playing for 2 weeks and I'm silver (ik that's the worst of the worst cause bronze is all smurfs) i did get into gold once tho
Just a tip: If you are constantly backflipping when you want to aerial, then turn the dodge deadzone up, and if you are double jumping when trying to aerial then turn it down. You want it to be in the perfect range where you can comfortably do neither And if you're somehow doing both then you just suck
I cant easily do em since my jump is set on LB (or L1 for the psn boiz). I got air roll right on A (or again x for psn boiz). Mostly just to be able to do stalls/tornado spins. Setting jump on LB/L1 removes the added stress on my fingers when having to crab hold it or using a finger for more than 3 buttons.
@@mas5517 there is a reason basically all pros use it, def is better than joystick air roll, just not 100% required if you are good enough in other areas
@@hydrarl3869 no there’s not. For most it’s easier, but it’s 100% personal preference as 1 is not better than the other, it’s just what you personally are good/comfortable with.
Turned off vibration on my keyboard, climbed to SSL in 1 day! (Jokes aside, customizing your controls is one of the first steps to giving yourself more control over a game.)
As a champ 2 player with xbox controller, I recommend binding controls to: Boost = RB Air roll & Drift = LB Drive forward & Reverse = Default (RT and LT) Jump = Default (A) Scoreboard = B Ballcam = Y Air roll left or Right = X
Someone who uses 10 vs. 1 literally does not turn or air roll faster going one way. Only when the other direction is added in one sequence. Literally hurting you in the long run unless you know your car 100% which only 1% of players do. Use 1.0
A little tip for some people, try higher sens. I know it seems crazy but go in free play and turn your sens up to max for both. Then after you get consistent switch to a lower but still high but comfortable sens. For me i play on 6 sens and i've never felt better at rocket league. This is especially true for console player who can't use square deadzone. It feels amazing
Console player here. It wasnt until i raised my controller settings that i started to notice a difference. I also use high settings in games like apex and battlefield. Not knocking anyone for setting preference, i just dont see how ppl can play on those. Being a spilt second slower in doing anythin can be the difference between a goal and a save
Tip 101: you don't need to have steering/aerial sensitivity at the same value mines differs by 0.04. Obviously make sure that gap is not to big like above 0.05-0.06 because that's too much of a difference to cope with. But figure whats best for you both steering and aerial and they can be different jist by a bit. For example if you feel like you can control the ball in air at lets say 1.60 but on the ground it might feel like it's too much so you can lower the steering to 1.56-59 what pleases you.
