Best Sealant for Philippine Weather?

- If you're looking for the best silicone sealant for water leak on the roof, all you need to do is to look at the material and its properties. Otherwise, you would suffer from "paulit-ulit na pagtapal" ng bubong (frequent re-applying of sealant).
A silicone sealant for water leak on roof should be able to withstand the forces of nature (UV light, wind, extreme temperature, rain, etc.), movements of the roofing system, chemicals present in the air, UV light and heat, and weather changes. Not all silicone sealants are the same. The sealant you're using for window glazing cannot be used for sealing water leak on the roof. Okay naman yung polyurethane at elastomeric sealants, tumatagal din ng mahabang panahon. Pinturahan mo lang pagkatapos ng curing, para protection sa UV damage ng araw. Yung bubong namin 20 years na, solid pa rin yung elastomeric at polyurethane na tapal.
Thanks Buildrite Construstion Chemical friends. Silicone is quite more expensive than solvent based Vulcaseal and spray sealants like Ayxu, Tekoro & Seal Spray but I agree that outdoor acrylic sealant.

Meron na actual longterm test? Rubberstop has all the potential to replace Vulcaseal since nagmahal na ren vulcaseal. Ang issue lang is yung UV resistance ng Rubberstop since it is almost pure rubber. Rubber always cracks under the sun. Kahit na sabihin na UV resistant need pa ren talaga makita yung actual long term UV resistance. Na walang cracking

1. The substrate must be clean and free from contaminants.
2. For sachet, RubberStop can be applied directly on the substrate.
3. For cartridge, cut the thread, fix the nozzle on top and cut it to the required bead size.
4. Caulk the sealant on the substrate.
