Hi in the latest release there is a warning saying this update only supports lossless upgrade packages for RG28xx. Does it mean it only work for RG28xx?
Oh no, that might be the case, I'll have to test it out. For now it would be safe to use the version dated 20240428 because I've used this myself and verified it works. edit: Referring to the RG35XXH Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I'll pin this comment to notify people.
I think it's safe for now because the google drive link for each system only has the upgrade package that's compatible for that handheld. However it might be possible for someone to download the latest version elsewhere and try upgrading so I'll keep this comment pinned.
You just use the same SD card and no need to move the files, it's loseless as in you won't lose your games or saves or save states. It's always safe to backup anything important to you however. If you're using a new SD card you can just image the latest OS using rufus on a PC or an app available on your phone and then copy over anything you want to use. I've tried most apps available on Android (like pi sd card imager) and they all are unreliable unfortunately. You can give it a go if you want, some of them might work eventually. To be clear you can't just copy and paste files to a new SD card. The Anbernic systems have specific partitions in a specific order. You can create these partitions using linux or most people just image the card. Hope that answers your question. Let me know if you need more help.
Sort of! It has some extra features and should be easier to expand the ROMs partition. muOS is pretty good too if you want a minimal OS that boots fast and has a lot of features but unfortunately it's harder to install using just a phone.
@@TheMan_v1 The only reason I don't like it is because I can't add roms. It caps at 64... It's inconvenient for me to add another SD card with more roms.

Do I move the files from the original SD card to the new SD card and then do the update process?

So basically this is just the stock os without all the BS?
